I bought the game just to play Daytona. Brilliant.

How much of the game do I have to play through to find it. I just started it and it's endless skipping of cutscenes.

We need a model 2 and model 3 collection releases from Sega. They have the worst management over there its criminal. They have some of the greatest arcade games of all time.

Indeed. In fact if i recall, SEGA did consider porting Daytona USA 2 for Dreamcast but relented due to the console's declining sales

I’m so pleased that Daytona 2 power edition has now been released on console. Star Wars trilogy arcade and Scud race would be nice to be added
I’d bet money Daytona 2, I mean Sega Racing Classic 2, has more player hours racked up than the main game. I found it nice that Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers 2 and Motor Raid is also in the arcade. In January the next Yakuza game will have the first arcade emulated release of Virtua Fighter 3, which I’m also looking forward to.
sega so lazy, could easily release this with scud race/sega gt and let ppl battle online, such a crime

Never even heard of Motor Raid before. Guess it was playable in Judgment too. I'd like to check it out.

Sucks the only way to play Daytona 2 Legally is this, amazing efforts have been made in Model 3 emulation but I wish sega would just release model 2 and 3 game collection so that these amazing games can have a bigger audience.
Look at that, perfect voices, shadows/highlights and buttery smooth. And I guess the hit detection on walls/cars must be perfect too. SEGA, why you force people to use Model3 emulator?
This is so dope, but only problem is your unable to use gearshift drifting

The music was epic when driving on the cab. I preferred 2 over 1 personally.

@@-Poka-I think SEGA will most likely stay clear of Mitsuyoshi's version because of that reason, considering they don't have the Daytona license.
They should release both versions of Daytona USA 2 like Battle on the edge and Power edition

Can you play this mini-game with a logitech racing wheel, pedals, and gear shifter?
That's not something we have tested but I can't imagine it's possible. Another reason to be petitioning SEGA to release it separately
Does it support driving wheel and/or motion sensing via the controller? (I bought the PS5 version and it doesnt seem so)
Any luck on this? What a tease to not be able to use the wheel, and also to have to mess with a story game just to get to it. There is always emulation I suppose.
No it doesnt support wheels. It turns the the game off with a warning because the controller was off. It doesnt accept the wheel as a controller. I try it with drivehub too a very expenisive hardwaretool to get it to work no chance. Very very sad. I try that on xbox series x

The phantom while most sensitive to steering and throttle is by far the most fun and fastest car to drive.
The Daytona USA 1 hornet is my second favorite car.
Imo the normal car and the easy car are not worth using. They are also the slowest and not worth using to do time laps with.
Edit: apologies, I see you change cars.
Edit again: iirc when choosing the car haldong start with trigger time lap without other opponents. Holding start during the stage select will give you reverse track iirc from the arcade
Last edit: try the last 2 cars. And definitely try manual. It's faster than auto.
I use easy and hornet all the time, as easy is not the fastest, but most consistent, and just gonna let you know, hornet is actually the slowest car
@sonic176yt7 not so sure about that. Only thing I am sure about is that the phantom us the fastest, but also the hardest.
