I have to give respect to Slash for just carrying on right afterwards.
Not only that, you can find the original video, the tune of his guitar is completly messed up afterwards and has to improvice the rest of the solo. He does a really nice job playing a lot more with the wah to mend that.

We had a gameshow in UK in the 90s called "Gladiators", one of the games was called "Hang Tough" and they had to try stay on the rings while the Gladiator tried to pull them off... seeing the guy grab his leg and rip him out of the sky lmao I thought I was 8 years old at nan's house on a Saturday night again :)

The dude at the Pantera show just shot dimebag, and he was killed by an off duty cop in the audience. Security didnt do dick all against a dude in the crowd with a gun, and neither can they do anything today. Most of these guys were just jumping on stage for fun as people have done for decades. Two of the guards tackled the performers instead of the actual stage jumpers ffs.
I saw Alice In Chains in 1993 and they stopped playing after 4 songs, told the fans "We're bored. Our stage is your stage." And suddenly it was open season for stage divers. One fan tried to take Layne's bottle of Jack Daniels and Layne fought him off, another fan tried to sing with him during Rooster and Layne palmed him away from the mic without breaking from singing. After the song he told the crowd "Our stage is your stage but don't mess with my Jack Jack, or else you get the dick lighter", he then pulled out what looked like a cigarette lighter but a little plastic dick popped out of it! But yeah, after Dime, anyone who's on stage who doesn't belong there should be rugby-tackled into the ground violently.

I got into an argument with a friend who (in regards to the video of Maynard James Keenan tackling a stage crasher and laying some ufc moves on him) thinks he overreacted and was out of line. I say fuck that! Especially after what happened to Dimebag, if you go on a stage uninvited, expect to be dealt with swiftly and violently!!!
Also, working up to the point of being a professional musician, all the work out into the craft, expenses for who knows what, being socially savvy enough to work with those to get you on tour but still have enough personal style to not seem business like, that’s one list of hoops to jump through. All that for some totally unaware brain dead idiot to not think of all those things just to have the crowd cheer for a couple of seconds or whatever (I literally don’t know what they’re thinking), I say fuck em up. Make them an example in the process.

This is a true story, so help me God. Back in (I believe it was 1968), my friends and I had gone to see Cream at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston. We were huge fans and just adored their music. We were mulling around the concession area before we took our seats when some guy said “You know you can watch ‘em walk out of the dressing area and onto the stage.” I didn’t believe it but followed my friends anyway. We came to an area where there was a staircase leading up to where we were standing. After maybe 10 minutes we saw movement.of people coming up the stairs. I stood right at the little roped off area, and Jack Bruce followed by Eric Clapton followed by Ginger Baker came walking by within maybe 2 feet. Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton passed by without a glance at our stunned faces. I made eye contact with Ginger Baker and he gave me a slight nod. We were in heaven.
What I can’t understand is where the hell was security ? If there had been anyone with sinister thoughts in their head, there could have been a tragic outcome. Anyway, we took our seats and enjoyed one hell of a show.

I think the security in these clips showed a commendable amount of restraint. They prioritized the safety of everyone, including the jackasses that invaded the stage... At least on camera.

I don't think scared, his back was turned a bit to the guy chasing him, only a dumbass you turn while someone full speed chased them, not to mention he isn't exactly in bodybuilder shape, so if he gets hit hard in the face and goes down, he would've been fucked. But once he had the advantage, yeah he went to take a swing, that's what the stage crasher did, catch them of guard.
