Novak conversions and advance adapters make kits for mating any ls to keep to transmissions, the ax15 can handle the power pretty well, personally I went with the 4l60e because I started with a 4 cylinder jeep but just take note that adapter the transmission might move your whole assembly backward a little so you might have to switch to a cable shifter for your transfer case
