  • Join us as we explore the bustling Welsh town of Porthmadog, known for its stunning Black Rock Sands beach, the historic Welsh Highland Railway, and relaxing harbour which is home to the Maritime Museum.
We walk around the town, drive onto Black Rock beach to enjoy the beautiful coastline, see the steam trains, and soak in the rich heritage of this charming Welsh destination. We also show you what shops are in Porthmadog!
We check out some places to eat including Fish and Chips from The Creel and Monkey Bread from The Big Rock Cafe in Porthmadog itself.
For our family weekend away we stayed in the nearby area of Blaenau Ffestiniog and visited nearby villages and castles too, so be sure to subscribe to see more videos like this.

We walked around Porth a couple of years ago, but despite keeping a sharp lookout, never encountered a madog. Just unlucky, I reckon.

I was told later in the day that the locals simply call it Porth. Knowing that would have made life much easier in the video 😅
