Hiya Charlie many thanks for bringing back happy memories, Schiehallion was my first munro back in the 1980is it was a wintry day in the mouth of march i don't think in them days it was as popular as it is now i hopefully in future to return to this mountain.
Hi Philip, 1980 first munro... great stuff. It would certainly been a different landscape then. I did my first in Jun 83 and the difference in numbers getting onto the hills and paths conditions are very different. Happy memories, I'm sounding like an old fart :) ... ATB, Charlie.
Love how your brother just motors on in every video with the wee glance back as if to say “jesus he’s stopping again to blether into that bloody camera” 😂👍🏻 New to your channel but have binge watched quite a few last few days, thanks for posting them as am about 20yrs younger than you and i find it hard enough bagging them let alone filming whilst i’m climbing them
Hello, Mike's a reluctant model at certain times but enjoy's watching the final outcome LOL... Many thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed tagging along. ATB, Charlie.
Robert, Glad you had a memory burst from 2011. I think it's a better hill in the winter as it levels out the rough ground on the summit shoulder. Take care, Charlie.
Hi Paul, The team was busy repairing a large section and you have to take your hat off to their work. The finished results make for easier walking rather than the heather bashing. Take care, Charlie.
Hello Dick, It's changed a lot over the years as they try and keep the hill in a condition for today's numbers. We must have seen 50+ walkers today during our hill time. That's quite high for a Thursday I would have thought. Perhaps it's all covid related? Take carer, Charlie.
Geoffrey, It's a great top for having others attend your completion. Generally, you find the last is a lot further afield and more awkward to get. The old route went straight at the summit shoulder but its was a bit boggy if I remember... Take care, Charlie.
Great videos Charlie always a pleasure to watch
Hi Scott, Glad you enjoy viewing our varied hill trips. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.

@@charliemccartney7055 will need to try a few of the one’s you’ve done as they look really good. Done An caisteal a couple of weeks ago
Super! Brings back memories of one of the few Munros in my bag. Conditions snowy and clear like your 2011 shot. 👍

Looks like a lot of path improvements Charlie. Nice wee walk. Cheers Paul

Thought I was the only one with that hat! :D
Golly gosh, a motorway, I was half expecting a service area. Very different from my ascent over 30 years ago.

My final Munro, Charley.Up the steep grass where there's no path, and back down the way you went.
Weather quite similar.
