When it focuses, images are great however it suffers from a lot of pulsing even though I have tried different settings both on the lens and camera. It seems that this is a very common issue. I don't know why Sigma never issued an update to deal with this problem...
I have also heard a lot about this with the Contemporary version. I have the spot and have only rented the contemporary one. first, check that your lens is the problem, put the camera on a tripod, and take photos. if you are still having the problem call tech support. good luck and thanks for watching.
Nice. Thanks for posting this. Working with a Cannon 90D and bought this lens. What tripods and gimbel heads do you recommend as its a beast of a lens to handhold?

I've recently changed from a Sigma 150-600C to 150-600S using on Canon 7DII. I can't get any sort of decent focus. Any ideas? Does it need to be set up please?
I have the contempory Sigma 150-600. I have it on my Nikon Z 7 ll. I have used it for birding and airplanes. In the begging I would carry it. After a while it gets heavy. I have used it on a mono pod and tri pod. I see you use a Gimbal head. The other day I tried using it to shoot an air plane. I could not hold it steady. My bad. I am in California. Thanks . This lens is too heavy to fit a sling solely to the camera when carrying it as you have a chance of breaking the neck of the camera. At the very least one end of the sling to the lens and the other to your camera, better still sling it entirely to the lens.
