@@ollielowe4725 Hey thank you so much Ollie! Haha! Welcome to the channel!! I’ll be picking up the content again in about a month once we get settled from our big move! Hope you have an awesome weekend!
Great stuff here! I was given the 150-600 Contemporary for Christmas, and I've fallen in love with it already. I have some decent glass, but if I could only keep two lenses, it would be this one and the Canon 24-105. (Not that I'm planning to give up any gear, mind you... 😁)
Hi Jay, I've a Canon R6 with the RF100-400 5.6-8 lens. I'm looking for more reach, can you give your insight on this? Shall I choose the Sigma or perhaps the Canon RF 600? Have you tried that one?
If you can natively mount the lens, that will always be best! Plus the Sport version is supposed to provide some benefits… however, I use a conversion mount to Canon RF with my Contemporary 150-600mm and it works great for the price!
Both are great options! The benefit with the Sigma is that you can sustain a lower aperture, whereas if you go with the Canon lens with an extender, even the 1.4 will set your base aperture to like 6.5ish… I would suggest the sigma for lower light scenarios or fast moving subjects like birds!
What tripod do you use with this lens and whether it gives full support when the lens is fully extended + the additional hood if attached. Just curious, as the tripod collar is situated at a rather extreme end of the lens. Thanks
Hey Mark! I use the Manfrotto tripod below, Manfrotto MK055XPRO3-3W 055 Kit... www.amazon.com/dp/B01EIG19LU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share And I use the Manfrotto video fluid head for smoother motion when filming!
@@Jay_Fritts thanks bro.. 👍🏻 Another one question brother plz suggest me a best Camera for wildlife videography & travel photography budget under $ 1300 USD..
so even though it "keeps up really well" with subjects, you give its autofocus 7/10 cuz you think it must be worse due to the adapter and you think it would score better if it wasn't there :D I think you are overthinking
Considering it’s price point it keeps up very well :) compared to native mount lenses like the RF 100-500mm or any of the native 400mm or 600mm primes I would rate it a 7/10. Definitely could have said that more clearly in the video!
Amazing review dude. The number of subs will explode soon. Your content is amazing
Hey thank you so much! That would be amazing, so fingers crossed haha!
@@Jay_Fritts he's not wrong I just found you and damnnnnn man ur goood im subbed lol

Thank you for this video. Great editing too! I thought you were one of those guys with 100k-3m subs lol
Oh wow that is the best compliment I’ve ever received on here haha! Maybe one day 🤞🏼😄
oh man same!! I didn't clock it until this comment! legend
Put more focus on image quality. That is what is most important in the end to see if the lens is worth its money ;)
7:27 these photos are exceptional!!!!
Sweet Video footage 😯😯

What do you think Sigma 150-600 contemporary and conversion to Sony or Sigma 150-600 sport with Sony mount?

Thanks for video!
Im still thinking what is better option, sigma 150-600mm or canon 100-400 L IS mk1 + 1,4x or 2x extender, what You think ?

The old Canon100 -400 is not sharp enough ,even without a teleconverter, particularly with the current high rez sensors.

Hello I was wondering if this lense will work on a canon rebel t7 ?
Yes it will!
Thank you for getting back at me , have a fantastic day sir 🤙
Can I used on Fujifilm x mount?
Suggest me a lens adaptor..
So I did a little digging, and you can get a Canon EF to Fujifilm X mount adapter on B&H Photo Video! It’s made by a company called Fringer!

Sigma lenses to manifest the sigma grindset
I sure do love me a clean Sigma lens 🙌🏼
The lens looks a LOT smaller the thumbnail.
It definitely does! I didn’t have it extended either so I’m sure that’s why :P
Its 10 yrs old no firmware update , The usb dock is a waste of money .
Its not WATERPROOF
you will get soft shots
On a budget but using an r5. Good review though.
For most people that isn’t budget. It’s still super expensive for most people
