I have driven Mercedes and Audi A8L. I recently bought a 2018 G90 Ultimate V8 AWD with 23,000 miles for $43,000. Clean carfax, one owner with plenty of warranty left on it. This car is truly underrated. Its clean and super comfortable. Drives smooth and commands road presence. Cabin is sick! Sleek and relaxing. This is luxury at it's best! Dont think I will be going back to the Germans.
@@iaj7517 Indeed 💯👍. My first car was a 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 Engine. Now looking forward to for my second car but it might be a Sonata 2018 or maybe a 2017 Genesis G80 Awd or Genesis G90 Awd.
Vehicle is straight classy period, design is flawless, I would by this over a S-Class and a BMW 7 Series in a heartbeat reliability is a 10, once depreciation sets in like all cars it will make a better buy on the pre owned car market, the reliability will still be there while most S-Class and BMW 7 series and Some Audi becomes money pits out of warranty because most buyers can't afford the maintenance cost, only the car note.
I've had this car for six months. Formerly, I owned Lexus LS for the last ten years. I have nothing critical to say of Lexus. They make a fine car. But, the G90 is special in all the ways that people expect Lexus to be. I can't say enough good things about the G90. It true, the Genesis badge doesn't have the cache of a Lexus or Mercedes. If you care about quality for the money over perception by the public, Genesis is building great cars.
What year is your LS? I recently traded my 13 LS460L for a 2020 RX. A lot of regret. Definitely want to go back to a full body sedan. The LS was superb car but miles was getting high. The new LS500 just won’t attract me at all. I’m leaning toward a slightly used g90. Seems like a great value. I drove the g80 many times it was ok I hope the g90 is more refined and
I have a 2017 Lexus Ls460 and love it but the interior is a bit too plain for me . I love the interior of the 2017-2019 G90 and the colors they offer .
Awesome car. To think a couple of years ago no one would look at Hyundai when buying... well any type of vehicle. Now for sports cars, luxury Sedans, SUVs and now Even competitive Luxury cars. They've got you all covered, definitely considering Hyundai for whatever I'm going next. I personally think this looks better than competition like the Cadillac CT6 or Lincoln Continental
If I had the money and had the choice between the two, I would definitely pick the Genesis. I'm all favor of The Underdogs. Hyundai's have come a long way, salute
I'm really surprised that you said you didn't like the design of the rims. The first thing I thought when looking at the G90 was "Wow, those are some beautiful rims!".

There's a lot of stereotyping on the brand Hyundai but I will say they are catching up and are improving on the quality of their products. They do however copy way too much but let's see the outlook I currently own a Hyundai and I'm very happy with the features it has against its rivals
I saw the Genesis G90 up close for the first time last week at a car show. It had a unique two- tone paint job [silver over black}. The car looked fantastic! Now, if it is as reliable as my Lexus has been, I would really want to own this car. My previous car was a 2003 Mercedes SL500. After several years of ownership, the car was breaking down almost every month and the repair bills were huge. Today, you can buy a low mileage 2017 G90 for $50-55k. Sounds like a very good deal to me.
So much salt in this comments section. Is it that hard to believe that the Koreans have built a nice luxury car? No, it isn't S-class or LS levels of refinement, but the G90 is also significantly cheaper. Seriously, you guys should just take this for what it's worth; Hyundai/Genesis built a nice luxury full-size sedan. Deal with it.
Thanks for your great video. One minor correction (and good news for some of us); the primary display actual has touch sensitivity but only on certain windows. For example, the QWERTY screen for entering a navigation destination is touch sensitive which is a real timesaver. The windows that allow for touch sensitivity should be evident by their green band around the data entry part of the window. Give it a try!
If you are in the Montgomery AL area and would be interested in the g90 or a g80 sport. I am a salesman at Capitol Hyundai and would love to show someone this car... it’s such a beautiful car in person
People refuse to think that for the rest of time forever, only Merc, BMW and Audi can be the ones that build a luxury car. Times are changing. Look at what these 3 offer for 75 grand. Garbage. this is a great car for the price.
I sat in this at the auto show a few months a ago. Dont be fooled. i am 6' 6'' and i can fit behind myself comfortably! I hit the top in the back seat a bit, but i am amazed!
I just bought one and yes it is. :-) The quality, fit, finish, materials, options and ride in my opinion is a steal for the price. When you put it into sport mode in literally turns into a completely different vehicle. I would highly recommend you test drive one, but be careful you will be tempted to buy. ;-)
I test drove this car at the dealership today. Very nice car especially the seats, they are quality. One thing that bothered me on this car was the acceleration. There is a noticeable turbo lag. Other than that, very nice car.
Great Review Redline Reviews...Sofyan, I am soo surprised about how positive this review was. You even gave Acura the smack down...LOL...These are quite posh and choice. Will probably step up to this once my Azera is ready for pasture. Love my Azera, this will be a nice upgrade in the next 5 years, once depreciation has had it's run.
Soyfan, you said repeatedly that the G90 does not have a self-park system, but there is a button adjacent to the transmission that looks like a self-park activation button. Look at 12:25, it's the button under the camera view button. Just wondering if the car actually does have self-parking capability?
The 3.3T V6 is quieter and has way more torque at low engine speeds than the V8. IMO the V6 is better suited to the quietness and smoothness this vehicle exudes. You talk about it riding "like a boat" -- how does it compare to the Lexus LS500 in that regard? I drove an LS460 and it's not even in the same conversation as the G90. As others have probably already stated, it DOES have air suspension.
Kinda sad the best feature of this car is the audio system and gets a 10 second review, I drive all the top of line sedans from RR, Bentley etc, this had the BEST sounding sound system I've heard in any factory sedan
I think the headlamps with bi-xenon bulbs looks stunning on the G-90 than old-fashioned like the first-gen Hyundai Genesis standard halogen headlamps. It's more of a self-conscious preference to want LED headlamps because, in 2004, Audi was the first-ever brand to use LED technology inside a forward headlamp, and LED headlamps aren't a spring chicken, either, as opposed to being dated in addition to xenons.

I own an Infiniti M series and was seriously considering the Q60 red sport 400 or the G80 3.3t. I prefer smooth ride over tight suspension. Test drove the new Lincoln Continental and was underwhelmed. What did you finally buy?

It's the camera. It's only picking it up @ 30 frames per second, so it can give the illusion that the part is spinning backwards. The part (crankshaft?) is spinning normally.
