Can you imagine going to see Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and the RHCP on New Year’s Eve???? I am fortunate to have seen Nirvana live in 93, but I would pay easily 10K for a concert ticket to see all three of these bands the same night. I am not rich either lol! Awesome video to whom posted!
I got to see this show for free! I was living in the Lower Haight and my Roommate had an extra ticket! We got a ride with two girls but then we lost them in the crowd, took the bus home after the show and New Year's!

I was across the arena, stage high in the seats... so I could see the band across a see of standing peeps. I've never seen a crowd react to a band the way this crowd reacted. You could feel the floor flex as people jumped up and down in unison from the opening of Drain You... it was pure joy.
I was at this show. Incredible! I was with my girlfriend, heading down a ramp to the floor during "Aneurysm." I remember a fight was starting. Right in front of me this guy got punched in the jaw. Then a crowd surged that way. I pulled my gf the other way and we went closer to the front. The crowd went wild during School. "NO RECESS!"
Man, us true nirvana fans can know they had some shows on complete fire bursting through every song so aggressively beautiful. Some examples ( Live and Loud, Reading, Paridiso, The Paramount) but this concert is witnessing a band in its true brightest form as a star. As Nirvana fans alot of us can agree this is their best show.
Both Reading shows, Live and Loud, Paramount and this are NOT their best shows!!! Just cause there's better production doesn't make it better performance.

A true phenomenon. The last seconds of this footage, all that crowd (yeah, Pearl Jam and RHCP played also) but many people went to see them. impresive what Nirvana acomplished in matter of months. January 1991, a small gig in Olympia, a year later playing on Saturday Night Live to millions of people.
That's the BEST live version i've heard of Smells Like Teen Spirit , Kurt really put everything into that !!! The little crowd reactions you can hear make it even better during the song.

Chad smith was on XM today talking about this show and how it was such an unforgettable experience when the intro to Teen Spirit started and how the crowd absolutely lost their shit. Amazing story, had to look it up. Happy I did this is the best I’ve ever heard them sound live.
It was our senior year of high school, and a bunch of us went. Rented a couple of cheap hotel rooms in the city to crash and got there early. I remember sitting on the Cow Palace floor before the concert started, and the sound guy was playing a lot of Fugazi while we waited. I fell in love. Hadn't heard of Pearl Jam before this either, but we all left fans. As you can tell, Nirvana killed! It was one of the soundtracks of the year. I remember the mosh pit was a swirling galaxy of sweaty bodies and sharp elbows. I would dip in for a couple minutes then retreat back to my girlfriend after I was sufficiently bruised and exhausted. How great to hear this again here! Thought it was all lost to time. Also remember RHCP being my third favorite performance of the night.
I was opposite side of the arena hoping to capture the entire 3 band bill. I capture the 30min Pearl Jam set wait for Nirvana. They get 2 songs in and then security swarms my area to shut me down and take the tape. Glad someone else got this!
