A lot of very good musicians passed through Tull over te years. Barre was a constant in all that but for whatever reason he was often overlooked except by people in the know. Good to see him still out there.

It's good to feel this energy again after all there years.... some of Martin Barre's best work.... and Ian Anderson, still one of the best rock shows I've ever seen.
Ian Anderson's stage antics are as entertaining as the music is fucking masterful. He's like an eccentric uncle you'd love to have at Christmas dinner once a year just to give the family a much-needed wakeup =)
Ians creativity, longevity, lyrics, musicianship, showmanship is top shelf. His healthy lifestyle and work ethic are inspirational to young and old alike. He embodies what only the rare few can accomplish in their lifetime and, incredibly there's still more to come.
I saw him in Seattle too! mid 70's at Seattle Centre Colosseum. Loved this band since it came out. Had albums "Aqualung" and "Songs from the Wood". What year did you see them?
From a time, where it didn't matter if a group looked like a bunch of disheveled, hungover lumberjacks and escapees from a pirate-show, because the music was what mattered.
We’ll agree to disagree. I think how you looked has always mattered. In this time looking like a bunch of disheveled lumberjacks was a resume enhancement! 😂But the music was and still is amazing!
I disagree. Image was big a deal then too. Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust came just the year after. Glam was just getting started. T Rex? Rolling Stones? And have you seen Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin from then? These guys got away with looking like schlubby forest sprites in spite of it all because they killed. Perhaps if a band of equal awesomeness was around now they’d have to clean up a bit. But different era, and yeah, there definitely was more great music then as shown by the short list I tossed out. But there was plenty of crap sold on image, it’s just been forgotten the half century since this came out.
Dude I know right?? They all look like they're on hard drugs. They have the crazy eyes. And don't bother applying unless you have a cool beard! But fuck, do they rock or what??
