This is the best live version of Aqualung that I've seen. The highs and lows in the song are equally rivetting to listen to. Ian and the band always rose to the big occasions. Just fabulous.
Ian Anderson always penned an honest song. He remained true to his art; never submitting to musical trends just to turn a buck. A modern day minstrel indeed.

One of my all-time favorite bands EVER. I have seen them several times over the years and they never disappoint. I am in awe of their collective talents, and Ian Anderson totally blows me away. Nobody has mentioned the uniquely gifted Eddie Jobson, who toured with them several times (including on this tour) and played several instruments within a single song: electric violin, keyboards, and mandolin.
I saw them live in Melbourne only about a year after the album came out. Anderson was dressed as Aqualung. A riveting performance throughout, with Ian Anderson a commanding presence. The concert ended with total darkness and a solitary telephone rang, quietening the crowd. I can't handle his coolness level xD I really wish i could have been on one of their concerts. Ian is so talented. I mean the show, the voice, the instruments everything is so special
Best performance of this song. Thanks for the upload.Hadn't seen this particular one in years....since Mtv closet classics days.
Yep, saw this too in 1974. Jethro Tull was amazing. Hope all these guys are all sitting by the fire now, enjoying a nice cup of tea, kinda like I am. We're all too old to have to worry about concerts anymore.
This performance is as it's best, they are all on fire here not a single member is left behind
I saw this show on this tour in Tulsa, OK in 1980. Memories. Jobson was awesome, the band and show was excellent!
I was there too, in T Town. At the Assembly Center. Literally "Trippin" fifth row, in front of one of the little stages that came out from the Main Stage!
