Also! I didn’t include travel adaptors, but if you are traveling internationally, good quality adaptors are a MUST! Where I was going I didn’t need them, but keep that in mind! ✨
Greece, as the rest of Europe, is 230v. You would need socket adapters for your laptop and mobile phone even if they are 110-230 volt compartable when travelling from America. Most curling tongs (irons) are only good for the country they are sold in so check that they can cope with 110-230 v and 50/60 Hz. It might be better to buy a pair upon arrival than getting a 110 to 230 voltage adapter (for 20€). They are under 30€ & you can always use them on other trips Scissors are not permitted in carry on on most airlines. You can put those in checked in luggage. Even nail clippers may not be permitted if they have a pointed nail file. Check with both airport and airline and also for return journey.
little tip by the way: mascara oftentimes counts as a liquid, so to not have any trouble at the airport -> better switch that one into your liquids bag 😉
Even though I'm pretty minimal with other things in my life, I've come to accept that packing light just isn't my thing. I need to have enough clothes in case I stay somewhere that doesn't have a washing machine
Last month, I traveled to Minnesota. I only took my small Vera Bradley weekender bag & backpack. I'm an online teacher, and I had to work in the mornings. Otherwise I probably could've gotten away with just my weekender. It was so nice being hands-free. Our flight got canceled, and we had to change our schedule. My fellow travelers brought so much stuff, and their luggage was put on another plane. I have no idea how they would've carried everything if I hadn't been there. Definitely prefer doing carryon only.
I can’t travel without hand wipes! There’s been so many situations when I touch something icky or needed to wash my hands but couldn’t. They’re also good to wipe down surfaces, etc.
My tip for travel shampoo and conditioner is to use up the travel size at home, clean it up and store away. So in your next trip you don't mix products and can bring whatever your using daily.
Although I wouldn’t consider myself a full blown minimalist; when I travel I definitely pack as minimal as possible. It definitely makes me feel less stressed on my trip and even unpacking afterwards.
When I get home from my trips I’ll just use up the rest of what’s in my travel shampoo/conditioner containers that way they’re empty again from my next trip!
It's not only liquids that go in the clear bag. It's also gels and aerosols. So that mascara and brow gel have to go in the clear bag. Especially for international travel, because they are more strict
I've always traveled lightly even before going minimalist. I used to have a knee injury and couldn't carry around a ton of lugage. So the amount of stuff you packed is basically how I've always packed. Lately I've also needed to bring foods because of food allergies/not knowing if I will find stuff I can eat at my destination. So the rest needs to be/has gone down to even more minimal. Happy travels! And curious, let us know about the sissors, did you get to keep them through security? 😊
for one week only half full of those shampoo and conditioner is needed (even, if washing every other day). in case, I would need that extra liquids contingent, I would rather use those cheep refillable containers, that are made for travelling. just regulars in the drug store. it can be helpful, in case you want to take an extra toner, serum or medicine with you. no fancy items from amazon (bleh - hate it, when people advertise amazon for items, they can get easily in regular stores)

oh and careful with the scissors - don't know, it they'll let you take it. At least they took mine some years ago. :)
Damn I fly out of Newark and literally anything goes. as long as its not full size liquid bottles

I always washed my clothes in sinks or in shower with me and hang it up wherever I'm staying
What do you do for a living?! To get a work trip to Greece, how fun!
Did they let you keep your scissors? I didn't think you could take them on carry on anymore?

I'm a big believer in taking a book on tips and now that I have a kindle ereader I have that to travel with!
If I'm gone for more than a few days I have to pack nail clippers, I'm kind of OCD about my finger nails, if they get too long they drive me crazy

Where did you buy your little cloth bags? Great video. Thanks so much.

I never leave home without insect repellant and sunscreen. How do you get your embroidery scissors through airport security?

hope you have a great time! I just got back from Prague yesterday. I too packed minimally and traveling light is so great :)
Where did you get that little bag for under garments??? :))) loves this video! So simple and I love it! Love that it’s not an insane amount of stuff.
How often do you wash your hair? Do you use dry shampoo
Were did you get the underwear drawstring bag?
Bible. Yarn. Crochet hook. Use the cutting blade on your dental floss container to cut yarn or embroidery floss. =)
What do you use to wash your face?
Where is your black cardigan from?
It’s secondhand from Urban Outfitters. It’s several years old though and I don’t believe the still make that style

Don’t you need any dressier clothes for work?
Do you pack any skincare
I usually do I get my body cream and lotion and yah
Very nice video! Definitely going to use it next time I'm going to travel 🙂
Also do you check this bag or carry on?!? You could carry on it. But clippers and tweezers I wasn’t sure about!
Love ❤️ it!
Does everlane shoes run true to size? I’m usually an 8, but I’ve heard mixed reviews
I have a lot of everlane pieces. It really just depends on the item be sure to check the reviews first
Reusable water bottle. Either a regular one, or I have a filtered one that I bring for places with questionable tap water :)
Hi Ashlynne have a safe trip.
How about an empty water bottle to fill at the airport?
Love that one!
No scarf??
When I travel I have one day and one night dress for each day. One pair of sandals one sweater and a scarf.

Noticed you didn't pack any period related items.
Well, I was just packing for one week. So I didn’t really need them 😉
no face wash?
I don’t use any! Just water
It seems your hair is stuck to your head in a very oily way... like -100 volume. A nice cut would solve that odd looking issue.
