That's one of the greater things I enjoy with Paganism and even if you're just researching, not worshipping, that there's several deities and ways to believe. You can worship Þór and his fatherhood, or Freyja and her magic, or Hel and her relation with th dead. There's many of us under this house of belief and we can all coexist regardless of which Gods we follow. We can all be together as kin under the Gods. Thanks for the video guys. Hail!

The Hel Ceremony at NC Ostara was my first experience with Hel. As someone who is a little sensitive to changes in energy, I did feel a definite change in the energy as Ian walked through the gate. There was also a sudden burst of cold air JUST as he went through. Just before he went back into the gate, I felt a vibration on my left shoulder. It was like a gentle touch of spiritual energy, and I took that to be my grandfather who I was venerating at this ceremony. It gave me a powerful sense of humility for all the people who lived and died before me. I appreciated the connection I was able to feel in that ceremony, and as I do my ancestor work at home, I am going to be sure to thank Hel for keeping my beloved dead near her.

She's so kind to me and asks for baked goods with fruit - like orange scones and strawberry muffins!
She gives back the same energy that you give her - kindness for kindness. Sarcasm for sarcasm.

I am one who likes to almost bite the big one due to just abnormal circumstances. I had emergency surgery (again) this past weekend. Sometime during my snoozing I heard all the alarms (I’d stopped breathing)
I see this shadowy figure. I don’t see an actual anybody, just a shape. Feminine but not the scrawny sickly scary as was alluded to in the video (first time I’ve watched it was right now) but more a stereotypical “motherly” shape. I promise. I will swear to it this figure said “trying to meet me so soon? Stop ignoring me” as I am coming back around.
Right now I canna be certain who she was, but I FEEL it was her. She gave off vibes of comfort. More chastising than demanding. I don’t find fear with her. She is the caretaker of those who died old or ill. That is a helluva job (pun absolutely intended) I’ve searched for information, but it was limited. But of COURSE you would have a video! I have only very recently entered my path so I’m still unsure of many things still. But this. This was OBVIOUS that someone was reaching for me trying to get my attention.

I had commented when this video first came out on Friday, but then I noticed it was down, and the comments gone. What I had brought up as well as others is that Hel is the sister of Fenrir and Jörmungandr making her the daughter of Angrbođa and Loki. I thought this was common knowledge. The story of the burnt heart was that he gave birth to a troll a totally separate entity. But I understand your intake on this story.
My own experience with Hel is that she comforted me when a dear friend had passed away. Being that he's Catholic, I asked her to take him into her arms and send him to where he wanted to go. I felt strongly that she heard me. Great video. Loved Ian being part of it.😊

I've never really followed her I'm more of a War and Magic Goddess followers and of course Allfather and Frey, Heimdall follower myself but good to know about her. Others have said it and I will as well, never suffer fools or negative nancys as myself and many learn and share a great deal with you and I feel you are amazing and we appreciate you.

I’ve seen some videos that say the only place she’s referred to as being half skeletal or half rotting corpse are from Snorri’s writings and no other sources and he’s the one who referred to her as half black/blue too! 🤷‍♀️ A few years ago I was scared of working with Hel as I had this idea of her being really dark and it being scary to to poke around into those areas and I knew she would want me to face things and let them go and I wasn’t ready to but then I’ve spent the last few years researching and learning more about her and I’ve actually realised she’s quite motherly and nurturing, she just has a way of making you let things go even if it’s hard and you don’t want to, if it’s for your greater good she will push you to try and get rid of it but I also realised that I’ve always been close to her, as since a really young child I had many family members die and it was only really me and my dad left, I used to unconsciously go to graveyards to sit and meditate in a way I guess, when I was down and lost with depression and I always found comfort there, my back garden also backs onto a graveyard and I’ve always been drawn to bones especially and collected them, so I guess I’ve always shown I was walking her path in a way, I just didn’t acknowledge/realise it until the last few years, my dad died 3 years ago in Nov, so I’ve been facing death in a more intense way than before as I’ve just been so lost and broken-hearted since. I’ve kept getting her oracle card or hagalaz popping out of runes or card decks in the last few weeks and she pops up in random videos I watch that aren’t even about her and stuff like that so it’s been amazing to get closer to her lately, I have found though that since I started to begin working with her or at least telling her that I felt more ready to, that I’ve been given some really weird things, I found some bones and I had put one on my bedroom bookshelf a while ago and now somehow a load of tiny maggots had not appeared anywhere or even shown signs of being there but they were in my jewellery box when I looked for something yesterday and I can only think it’s from that as it’s on a few shelves above it and that was weird and so gross and then a random wing of some dead insect dropped on me yesterday while I was at my Viking reenactment group and it wasn’t connected to anything above me or from a spider web or anything, it just floated down and landed on my leg and I was bewildered and then I was listening to this video while I walked my dog 🥰 and I found the wing of a dead bird in an area I never go but felt really pulled into today, so she’s defo pushing death into my path more and I guess she’s testing my comfort levels with it all and I’m interested to see what happens next but if I find a corpse while out walking somewhere now, then I’m out! 😂😂

Lady Hel definitely lives up to her moniker of "The Hidden One." At certain times, or times of the year as is stated in the video, is far easier to communicate and feel as if you were acknowledged by the lady. Other times, such as a now right around Midsummer, I find it more difficult to commune with her, as she seems either distant or doesn't communicate at all. But what we have with our Gods is a relationship, and we shouldn't ignore them just because we feel ignored. I find that Hel likes flowers, freshly plucked and in their prime, placed upon a sacred space to her. Then, you allow them to wither and dry, fully letting them live and die on her altar. Hel is ambivalent about offerings of drink (Sometimes she seems pleased, other times she seems to ignore it.), but does seem to like fruits that are close to spoiling. I find she likes burnings of a specially devoted candle or of fine incense in her honor.

To Anyone who reads this I am just coming back to my ancestry to our ancestry I am coming off of 25 plus years raised as a Christian but it never felt right for me I even branched off into paganism where I felt more at home but always crawled back to Christianity because it was what I was supposed to do and it made me a good girl. But now I have been for the last 2 or 3 years going my own way finally and not faltering and I keep moving forward and as I mentioned just getting back to my ancestry so there's still a lot of new things to me like for example listening to Viking metal I am just now starting to understand the songs because I'm getting back into the mythologies and the stories and it excites me so much I love it. I have never worked with any of the Norse gods there are a few I admire so much and a few that I despise but I feel like one in particular has been reaching out to me or talking to me and that's Hel herself. First it started with the brothers of metal song Hel and ever since I've just been seeing mentions of her everywhere been having some crazy dreams and all that that's why I looked for this video today LOL. I am a new and upcoming Viking I'm still in my training but I am coming back to a place that makes me feel at home and I'm excited about all of it and I feel like personally she's not that bad of a person and to be honest I can identify with maybe a lot of how she feels. If she wants to reach out and talk to me I'll be her friend. Stay safe and may the gods be with all of us sword brothers and sisters

Yesterday I was at my garden with a guy that was cutting my grass.
I was singing her song in my mind while watching the guy work.
Out of the blue a branch in the perfect form of algiz came flying to my feet and landed right in front of me in the perfect position.
A few months ago I lost a haird bid with this very same rune in my garden.

I don't know if I believe in anything but the only spiritual experience I ever had was with Hel.
In my 20s I had a dream that still sticks with me. I remember telling my old roommate about it and the girl I was with at the time. I doubt they even remember the conversation.
So I had this dream where I was in a ruins in a really black night. I was at peace and it felt nice. This was a nice place to me. There was grey fallen pillar like stones and Hel's face was carved into the stone floor, the area lit by fire I couldn't see.
I could see the shape of her in the shadows just outside of the light and I knew it was her. She said that she was my mother and she loves me. I often think about that dream and I wonder if when I die she'll welcome me home.

Interessting dream you had. I'm interessted in the emotions the dream triggers in me when I have a dream, because this related to something the subconsious works on to remove. The subconsious can remove trauma like the EMDR treatmen can. Based on your calmness in a dark and gloomy space and with Hella around, I think you have overcommed the fear of death. And that is really good, because this fear is limiting life.

I have had several thoughts about Hela, both from this video and from before.
(Note: I am going to assume that Hel is the "Seat of Power" for Hela. Even if "Hel" is just the name of her Mansion/Hall/Castle/Fortification.)
First, Hela as a vampire? That half dead and half alive seems very close to Undeath...
Second, Hela as a Warden. Part form what you said about "sending people to Hel" as in Hel is a prison with Hela as the Worden.
Three, there are many stories, Scandinavian stories, of Draugr. Would Hela have domain over both the Draugr and the Necromancer who created them? Or can Hela create Draugr as Tomb Guards?
Four, there was also the idea, admittedly form Fan-fiction, that most of Hel was a land of the dead. However, there was also a section of Hel for the punishment of Evil people. Was there any talk about the punishment of Evil people?

I have discovered that the people sent to Hella, are those with limiting beliefes that make them immovabel in an area of their life. Like Hellas two servants, because nobody have ever seen them move. Perhaps it is time to release some limiting beliefs you got in your past that don't serve you anymore or are now directly harmfull because it limits your ability to act?

Thank you. Yes that makes sense. I have learned that those sent to Hella are those that have so many limiting beliefs that they are frozen in acting. Like Hellas two servants, nobody has ever seen them moving. So, maybe Hella helps identify the limiting beliefs so they can become healed, and we can start living? The Nordic Mythology could be an explanation of where the trauma in life goes. In the book "The Body keeps the score" by Bessel Van der Kolk, we can learn that trauma is kept in the brain and is experienced as been frosen /or having a out of the body experience in a stress full situation. Research on the Vagal nerves has identified these nerves are determining when something is too much to bear, and we are then de-associated from the situation that is painful, meaning we go frozen or numb. A soul loss is a trauma., we are frosen in the moment, it is impossible to move. The death can not move. And the trauma is just stored in the brain, which I believe belongs to Odin, based on his character/behaviours and from Traditional Chinese Medicin, he is maybe the Governing Vessel (Du Mai) that is in all living beings, even the tiny bugs. This meridian is responsible for distributing energy to all the other meridians. The other trauma we could experience is sexual abuse, which also can give soul loss. And I think this could be the "death" Freya gets. Because she represents love - the physical part of love, based on the stories about her. I'm still amazed by our ancestors ability to observe how the body handles trauma and then wrap it up in stories that could become transmitted orally for over 1500 years as energies/gods that actually help releasing it so we can heal/hel. I'm getting more and more greateful every time I reflect on it. ❤❤❤
