Beautiful work and design. You said "weathered look". Mustard/vinegar then acid etch or vice versa? Always enjoy your videos. And like so many other viewers, I continually review your knife making lessons. Cheers, Jump'nJak
This was acid etched and then with the mustard and vinegar mix on top
Awww yeah! thats slick Buddy! beautiful patina 🤘🤘

Magnificent Machete !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Jerry! Cheers
Really nice great job.
Thank you!
Did you place the steel on the paper? Lookin burnt their bud
Nice, cutting test now ! 😁
I did a massive cool cut test in the original video but people didn't care for it I guess! Go check it out, the video thumbnail is me on a dirtbike with the sword
Outstanding blade brother.
I have my first layer of refractory compound drying on my forge. Going to give it a couple days to dry before applying the last coat. I’ll give it at least 48 hours to dry, then start the curing process. Man I can wait to start working my own blades. Thanks for the inspirations Brother.
I love that your on your way! Cheers man
In what kind of oven have you tempered this blade? She is so long!
Beautiful machete, and the patina is just ... yum!
Thank you! Just my kitchen oven
That's badass! The handle looks really good!💯💯
Thank you@
Wow 🤩 that is a real beast of a blade! It has a really tactical look to it.Super Dope handle!!!💯👍🏾🔥
Hey thank you!
The model and colors are impressive. Congratulations Airin.👍✌👏🙌
Thank you Volkan!
Is there a reason for a split tempering cycle?
I don't know what you mean?
@@Aleeknives rather than 4 hours at 400 degrees to temper the blade, you split it to two 2-hour temper cycles.
2 hours should be enough, so I assume you do it for redundancy's sake.
Thank you for sharing your work with us-it’s good to see that pieces of this caliber are possible. Still using the many lessons of your “first time knife build” series every time I hit the shop.
That is fantastic feedback! Thank you sir!
How thick is the blade?
Mine
Right on Randy😉
Great job!!! Excelente
What was the starting dimensions on your steel
2 inch by 48 inches long
@@Aleeknives what thickness ?
