Beautiful work. But here's a little tip if you heat Copper to critical temperature and quench it in water it becomes very pliable and easy to work with.
Holy crap! That's amazing! It has esthetic elements of a classic Bowie, something steampunk, a WWI / WWII trench knife and confederate Bowie all in one! I love it!
You may get this asked a lot but is there anything faster than hand sanding, one of my arms don't work well and find it time consuming and painful. You do great work, we can appreciate the skills of art you possess using a different media than a painter, as metalwork is an art form like the forge. We hop you continue to elaborate, as we go on living each day as we can today, and enjoy every day anyway. 😊

I LIKE the knife. For my taste, I wish that the thumb-guard stuck out about a half-inch farther and the forward protrusion was a quarter-inch longer. I wanted to applaud when you included a SHARPENED SWEDGE. However, I don't know why you abandoned the traditional half-moon-shaped swedge. Then again, the main edge is distressingly straight. Would have liked it better with a rocker-shaped main edge-like a rocking-chair rocker…STILL, Your knife is closer to my taste than most of the other Bowies that I've seen lately/ (Also love the copper sheathing)...

The 9mm handle slats for his knife was something I'd never seen before and, the concept is like the knife that won the gunfight.

Unfortunately I didn't watch the entire video when I posted the first comment, but yes I do believe a knife is half the build of a sheeth, when you do it that well. Taking pride in such things is an artist's mark of perfection, for self impression, the godly effect with creation, as I just witnessed when done, but not finished until I see the rest. (Handle, and sheeth creation) is next for me. 😊

Definitely not a dagger, could be a short sword if that's what you want to call it but that's really up to the maker and the user. It feels like a knife when it's in my hand

It may not be the traditional feel of a Bowie but it certainly fits the definition. The thing looks like it could pass as a hunter's sword in late colonial America, into early USA.
I honestly don't think I can give an opinion at this point as I love so many different styles

It actually is. I have a 5 gallon bucket with a household vent duct coming out of the lid and the vacuum also plumbed into the lid of the bucket
