@@mattbecham3094 Hey you!! I try to know my reactors & if I'm not sure I look it up! I'm super good! Loving me some Billy! I might have danced around the bedroom to this. 🤣❤🎵 You good?
Jay, Billy Idol was so big in the 80's. his songs White Wedding, Rebel Yell, Eyes without a Face, Mony Mony, And Dancing with myself are in My opinion His very best. Billy was so different than most of the Rock at the time.
Yes I did forget Hot in the City and Cradle of Love, Can't believe I did that. Two more of his great songs from a great time sure wish time travel was a thing lol.
"Cradle Of Love", "Flesh For Fantasy", "Hot In The City", "Catch My Fall", "Mony Mony", "Sweet Sixteen", "To Be A Lover"... "Rebel Yell (Acoustic Live)".... this one is particularly amazing given that it is an older Idol (It's the first thing that comes up when you search RUclips for it)
Gen X songs were played on my community-based Melbourne ( Australia ) radio station, 3RRR .. Punk and new wave weren't played on mainstream stations, but I could get my fix of the real stuff on alternative radio .. The Gen X songs I remember liking most were this one and Untouchables .. Cheers, Wayne
My favorite Billy Idol song... followed by "Eyes Without A Face", but there are plenty that weren't as popular that were good... "Flesh For Fantasy", "Blue Highway", "Hot In The City", "Catch My Fall", "Sweet Sixteen", and others. He even has an OK cover of "Don't You Forget About Me".
Did you ever see the movie The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Billy Idol makes an appearance. It’s hilarious. All 80s songs you will recognize now!
Back in the 80's "dancing with myself" was a reference to ummm...mastur***ion!! That's what it means in the song they said. Billy also has his roots in the London 70's punk scene and went mainstream without losing that punkish style and vibe. Thanks✌💗🎶😁
I saw Billy Idol at Six Flags Georgia in 1984, out door concert. I was 18 years old and got separated from my friends but that didn't stop me from having the best time of my young life!!! It was amazing and the crowd was insane. I'll never forget it!!
Billy had hit songs before this one, but when this video came out, and the song got played non-stop on the radio, it took his popularity to another level. MTV and MUCHMUSIC loved playing his videos. Keep smiling🤘😃
Ha! The video with zombies that dance! Some of them had pretty good dance moves too! Billy Idol always had that energy to make us dance all over the place! Woo! Hot in The City" oh and "To Be a Lover", "Catch my Fall" Mony Mony, "Cradle of Love" I believe you'll like those! Great reaction! Peace! ✌☮
Gotta love Billy Idol's swagger and that infamous snarl. The music is great, too. ;) It bears repeating - he's the BEST. If you want a more laid-back song of his, try "Eyes Without a Face" or "Sweet Sixteen." I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The Skeet Skeet song of my generation was White Wedding. Dancing With Myself was about servicing yourself when no one’s around. I love hearing video breakdowns from today’s reactions. He had Benny Hill type of props in the hood.
He’s in the end of The Wedding Singer, a great Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore movie with lots of great 80s music in it. I know you’d love that movie, and it really is Billy Idol in it!
Random fact: Not sure if you've ever seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer (you're missing out if not!) but there's a vampire in it called Spike who more than a bit resembles Billy. In the Buffy universe Spike says Billy actually copied his look after they met once.
Billy has some nice ballads, too. Great reaction. His live shows do NOT disappoint! Billy has some great ballads too. Try "Sweet Sixteen" (my favorite), "Cradle of Love" (half slow half high energy) and "Blue Highway"
Oh yes....one of the first song and video introduction to one of the greatest rockers imo in the 80s along with "Cradle of Love"...love Billy 💕. Soooo many great tunes....can't wait for your reaction to them 💗🕊️. Next check out video and song "Cradle of Love" by Idol

Eyes Without a Face was the ONLY Billy Idol song that came to mind when Jay asked if there was something slower...
He’s a proud grandpa now and posts some very cute videos of his grandchild rocking out to his songs.....
Thank you for this extremely important information. I needed that in my life today ❤

Don’t forget HOT IN THE CITY - another huuuuge hit!
Billy idol and David Bowie have in my opinion the similar feel but billie is a bit more angsty teen.
I love Cradle of Love... One of my favorite songs by him.

Given that "Don't You Forget About Me" was written for Idol and he turned it down... it is so ironic
@@TheRedWaltz24 It really is. It was also offered to a couple other artists
I forgot about “Catch My Fall”! I loved that song!
Blue Highway is awesome.
