My buddy has 167,000 miles on his 2014 challenger 5.7 hemi, he hasn’t had one bit of problems with it. It’s never had the tic. That dam car still runs like new and he beats the hell out of it all the time ! 👍👍👍🇺🇸

I agree with #9. I'm 56 years old running a red eye challenger love this car respect the power but see to many that have the other models come bye trying to show off sliding around corners hauling a$$ down a neighbor street with kids around because mine is out and they think they need to prove something. Watched a kid get a brand new hemi challenger and hit the light 4 months after getting.slow down people please especially in neighborhoods.

#1 cannot be stressed enough. I had a Scat Pack Challenger for like a week before I decided to make a change. Decided to just return it and get a Widebody but if not that new wheels and tires is a must. I kinda cant believe they even sell them with 245s.

I remember a few years ago when the Hellcat came out with 707 hp. Wow! That's all we talked about! Did the introduction of the Hellcat spur the current hp race? I think it did. Reminds me of the 60's factory hp wars! Now everyone that mods their cars are shooting for 700+ to keep up with the stock Hellcat. Problem is, the Hellcat guys are modding their cars! So now 700+ hp is not enough! Boost Baby Boost! Now just put that to the ground and you have something special!
Go to the strip and show off, be prepared to break something!

I really drive my 2015 6spd 392. I got it with 2k miles and now it has over 75k miles. I don’t have to worry about MDS since it’s only offered in the Auto. The car has been out of warranty for a few months now and so far so good. Everything in the car is original including the clutch. I don’t baby the car but I don’t trash on it 24/7 and I’ve only taken it to the track once. It has some rock chirps and minor scratches, but I kinda look forward to those, I feel like the car is aging along with me. These cars are an experience, it really does make you not care about anything else on the road. Are there faster cars? Sure, better handling? Absolutely… do I care? Absolutely not.

Excellent point about Dodge’s image. When I go to non-Dodge dealerships and I’m pleasant and humble (even when jerks dig me about my car being “slow”), people almost seem shocked a lot of the time. It’s like they see me coming and think a VERY different person is about to step out.

On the one hand I TOTALLY see where you're coming from with the people acting a fool and wanting to distance yourself from that. And maybe it's just my opinion, but you shouldn't let some bad influencers dictate your actions. You can control them just like they can't control you. That would be like saying you don't want to own a Mustang because people run into crowds with them. I respect your opinion, and it's your right to have it. But I encourage you not to allow yourself to be influenced by bad examples of owners. Regardless of how this is received, keep doing what you do! I appreciate your content and your insight.

Up here in Montreal, in my experience the real asshats on the road are the Tesla and BMW'S mostly. Being snowy 4 months a year makes the muscle cars less popular and I'm grateful to enjoy the camaraderie that I've experienced so far when I cruise with my 2017 Rt Challenger. Great video Paul. Really hope you come back to Mopar, at least part way.

I worked at a series of Chrysler dealerships over the years. I read an internal memo that noted the Hemi tick. If you use the vehicle for any severe service use, such as police or taxi use (racing would qualify as severe service). It was recommended to use SAE 5W40 full synthetic. Also add some ZDDP to boost the zinc levels as zinc is a lubricant for ferrous metals under heavy pressure. Change oil at 4000 miles. Use Mopar oil filter 0488 4899 AC-001 box is also labeled MO-899.
My 392 has no tick. I also bought a Diablo tuner and disabled the MDS.
I keep mine garaged at all times with a blocker truck behind it that is notorious for not starting.

These vehicles are awesome. I have owned a widebody hellcat and a charger rt blacktop edition. They are both really unique in what they offer but definitely standout in the crowd. It is really to bad that these cars are being targeted by the good guys and the bad guys😒 Get them before they are gone and please keep them mint for the next generation. I don't think we will ever have cars like this again not at the average consumer level anyways. 797 horsepower for under 100k!!!! Thats a great deal no matter who you are!

What will i need to boost to 5 or 6 then? Will a pro charger be too much?

Hey Mopar Community, can I get some info on the T6 as far as issues other than the 2nd gear skip issue? I find I have to really mash the clutch pedal even at a stop some times doesn't want to go into 1st or just rough shifting when rowing through the gears.

Mr. X , any advice on how to compensate for weight on a 2019 Charger scat pack? I know mods don’t gain you much hp, but is there’s way to even out to the 2-door competition out there? I’d really appreciate any advice 🙏

What would you say is the best octane booster? I only have access to 91.

Do you recommend 93 in the 5.7? I do 89 per the manual currently but I’d be willing to go up to 93 if it’s not just a waste

Are you saying only those with a garage should buy a V8 Hemi Charger or Challenger? What about using aftermarket security solutions?
