(For those who didn't know, he was originally the zero espada, but he realized that he was too violent for science so he split himself in two, Szayelaporro and his brother Yylfordt, In one of the light novels theres a clone of his original version called Cien Grantz)
That particular novel isn't canon. Which makes sense as you'd have to ask 1) How does splitting off a single weak ass adjuchas turn him from "Super strong Vasto Lorde" into someone who isn't even strong enough to be an espada. 2) How miss "I can copy any power I've witnessed" managed to witness Mugetsu. Among other problems.

I still wish we saw the potential of Yammy's 2nd release. Given its rage that powers him he should be theoretically invincible unless he's taken down in one blow but when we last see him he didn't seem to suffer too much damage.
I actually thought that he was gonna be like Doomsday and that the reason why he's number 0 is because he is simply unkillable as he gets stronger the more damage he takes.

To be fair, 3 out of 4 of the shikai he faced were his hard counters : _Sogyō no Kotowari reflects Cero Mitralletta ; _Kinshara disrupts the wolves with its whip and soundwaves; _Katen Kyōkotsu is built to take by surprise AND dish out critical damage in one hit. Hell , you can even argue that Tengumaru's fire manipulation and large sweeping attack could have helped !

I think ulquiorra simply was able to separate his resureccion into 2 forms as a way to not fully use his release. Split it into two forms like how frieza split his full power into forms that gradually released more power. His initial release looks nothing like his true hollow form unlike the rest of the espada releases which take a strong liking to their original hollow body. I think his defunds wraps is the true resurrecion.
His segunda etapa is clearly still way stronger than all other espada tho. Also Starrk has the exact same "non-holo" look. I do understand what ur getting at but I believe its literraly like a bankai for Espada and the others just don't have it.
Tite Kubo sprinkled so many hints that Yachiru was Kenpachi's zanpakuto throughout Bleach. Stark's release, the whole zanpakuto arch, the fact she could touch his blade unharmed, her appearing out of nowhere often in the direct vicinity of Kenpachi.
I really didn't like it. The espada were meant to be the pinnacle of hollow and he was apparently the strongest one but was used for comedic beats. Cheapened the so called threat for me

Thank you for posting this video. It’s hard remembering them all there’s just so many and then you got the Shikai and Bankai releases. Even as a huge Bleach fan. I miss some of them occasionally. It’s interesting that Szayeloporro and Barragan’s releases are different, depending if you’re listening to the English, or Japanese version.
He may not be my in top 3 Espada, but the way Aaroniero screams "Glotonería" tickles my brain in a pleasant way. His voice actor sounds like he had the time of his life reading that line.
Yami got done dirty. Even if say he wasn’t as strong as stark, I would have still be cool to see how powerful he was against the 2 high level captains at the time
I'mma be honest, they dropped the ball with a few of these. Like Yammy? Boring as hell. He didn't have an interesting shtick. Stark? Kinda neat but he honestly shoulda been no. 2.
starrk was actually quite op but he wasn't looking for fights. he was lonely and wanted companions. he was so affected by the lost of his comrades and he wished to have never met kyoraku shunsui in this circumstance because they both knew they would have gotten along well. i agree with yammy though, all he had was brute strength and massive reiatsu. the top 4 espadas can easily take him out 1v1.

Unlike Barragan and Hallibel who were vast lords and became arrankar with the power of hogyoku. Ulquiorra was already a vast lord and became an arrankar but it is not clear if he shared his power by breaking his mask.

Huh. I kinda agree with you. Like, forget the lore, or the power scaling, or of that. Creativity-wise, Starrk does feel... well... boring, I guess. Oh, he's strong, that's his schtick, but I dunno, I kinda wanna see more from the Primera Espada. From design/ability wise, I honestly think that Barragan should've been number one (ignoring reiatsu and all that stuff). Personally it'll keep the theme of Number 1 themed characters having creative/awesome powers, like Yama-jii then later on Shunsui (Captains of Squad *1*), the Schrifts of A (Yhwach and Uryu, and Haschwalth's B too I think), and of course Ichibe's control over names. Barragan's power is cool, rotting and disintegrating things. Starrk's... not really, he just resorted to shooting a lot more stronger Cero than his previous form. I still think he's cool though, especially his Beyond Resurrecion form. tl;dr I think Baraggan should've No. 1 on account of having a cooler power (ignoring reiatsu-based numeration). I know I know... it's useless making an argument over something that's already happened. I just want to put my two cents in.
For me ulquiorra is the strongest espada. It paints one of the scariest pictures with its calmness and backstory. He's on a completely different level than the others. Aizen probably knew that too.
The only thing he did was beat a masked bankai Ichigo that would've lost to most of the captains and Nnoitora. In Segunda Etapa all he did was get no diffed by hollow ichigo so we don't even know at all how strong that form was Meanwhile Espadas 3-1 fought stronger opponents with Starrk fighting 2 extremely strong captains and then 2 Vizord Captains.
People underestimate Starrk He vs 4 Captain 2 Vizored captain Ukitake, his hard counter Shunsui, the unorthodox captain and 2nd most powerful Captain after Yamamoto

I really love the idea of resurrection, when the arrancar and espada was introduced, I thought of it as so cool, yeas bankai are great but resurrection was my favorite thing that happened with Bleach!
Stark had no motivation to fight, and went against 4 captain's Barragan has the capacity to delete everyone but instead he was beeing proud talking to much and laughing... Halibel was facing her counter part, was fighting 1v3 without effort and ended beeing cut by Aizan ( Even halibel fraccion's did more damage on the field... and got DIRTY AF by Yammamoto ) I feel like the first 3 Espada's were only made for the show lol... These 3 guys were so much cool in there past story...
Ulquiorra’s sword release conmand is imprison in the dub but it’s enclose in the dub. They can have similar meanings but are different words altogether. Which of the 2 is more accurate ?

I can definitely understand why the Japanese VA never tried to do the call-outs in Spanish (I.E. pray, growl, enclose, sip) because there’s too many r’s in the Spanish language and with Japanese the R is replaced because it kinda doesn’t exist with an almost L like sound so (examples encerrar = enclose rezar = pray molar = growl sorbo = sip) it wouldn’t sound right with the Japanese way of saying them so glad they used their way of saying them and they swap the the sound between L’s and R’s

I think ulquiorra simply was able to separate his resureccion into 2 forms as a way to not fully use his release. Split it into two forms like how frieza split his full power into forms that gradually released more power. His initial release looks nothing like his true hollow form unlike the rest of the espada releases which take a strong liking to their original hollow body. I think his defunds wraps is the true resurrecion.
His segunda etapa is clearly still way stronger than all other espada tho. Also Starrk has the exact same "non-holo" look. I do understand what ur getting at but I believe its literraly like a bankai for Espada and the others just don't have it.

Tite Kubo sprinkled so many hints that Yachiru was Kenpachi's zanpakuto throughout Bleach. Stark's release, the whole zanpakuto arch, the fact she could touch his blade unharmed, her appearing out of nowhere often in the direct vicinity of Kenpachi.

Thank you for posting this video. It’s hard remembering them all there’s just so many and then you got the Shikai and Bankai releases. Even as a huge Bleach fan. I miss some of them occasionally. It’s interesting that Szayeloporro and Barragan’s releases are different, depending if you’re listening to the English, or Japanese version.
He may not be my in top 3 Espada, but the way Aaroniero screams "Glotonería" tickles my brain in a pleasant way. His voice actor sounds like he had the time of his life reading that line.

starrk was actually quite op but he wasn't looking for fights. he was lonely and wanted companions. he was so affected by the lost of his comrades and he wished to have never met kyoraku shunsui in this circumstance because they both knew they would have gotten along well. i agree with yammy though, all he had was brute strength and massive reiatsu. the top 4 espadas can easily take him out 1v1.

But think about it, when Aizen met him the first time He was already a Vasto Lord and a perfect Arrankar to boot. Unlike Barragan and Hallibel who were vast lords and became arrankar with the power of hogyoku. Ulquiorra was already a vast lord and became an arrankar but it is not clear if he shared his power by breaking his mask.

Huh. I kinda agree with you. Like, forget the lore, or the power scaling, or of that. Creativity-wise, Starrk does feel... well... boring, I guess. Oh, he's strong, that's his schtick, but I dunno, I kinda wanna see more from the Primera Espada.
From design/ability wise, I honestly think that Barragan should've been number one (ignoring reiatsu and all that stuff). Personally it'll keep the theme of Number 1 themed characters having creative/awesome powers, like Yama-jii then later on Shunsui (Captains of Squad *1*), the Schrifts of A (Yhwach and Uryu, and Haschwalth's B too I think), and of course Ichibe's control over names.
Barragan's power is cool, rotting and disintegrating things. Starrk's... not really, he just resorted to shooting a lot more stronger Cero than his previous form. I still think he's cool though, especially his Beyond Resurrecion form.
tl;dr I think Baraggan should've No. 1 on account of having a cooler power (ignoring reiatsu-based numeration).

For me ulquiorra is the strongest espada.
It paints one of the scariest pictures with its calmness and backstory. He's on a completely different level than the others. Aizen probably knew that too.
The only thing he did was beat a masked bankai Ichigo that would've lost to most of the captains and Nnoitora.
In Segunda Etapa all he did was get no diffed by hollow ichigo so we don't even know at all how strong that form was
Meanwhile Espadas 3-1 fought stronger opponents with Starrk fighting 2 extremely strong captains and then 2 Vizord Captains.

@@andrei-cezarbleaje5519 Ichibei isn't a captain. Also Zaraki was pretty strong at that point. To the point where him and Yamamoto were the only ones Aizen tried to avoid fighting. He had zero problems fighting the rest of the captains, but he specifically avoided fighting Zaraki and Yama.
I can definitely understand why the Japanese VA never tried to do the call-outs in Spanish (I.E. pray, growl, enclose, sip) because there’s too many r’s in the Spanish language and with Japanese the R is replaced because it kinda doesn’t exist with an almost L like sound so (examples encerrar = enclose rezar = pray molar = growl sorbo = sip) it wouldn’t sound right with the Japanese way of saying them so glad they used their way of saying them and they swap the the sound between L’s and R’s
