Very useful, great stuff! The INTJ explains the big picture quickly and easily and throws in random facts. Here, you see connected concepts or abstract events, with little detail. The detail that is provided is disconnected and appears random, because the focus is on getting to the bottom line of what actually happened. The ISTJ, on the other hand, explains a lot of facts, in great detail, naming the dam, the river, describing the composition of the dam and there is a disconnect in the point he's trying to make. This really explains a lot 👍🏼 Dave and Shan are brilliant 👌🏼
as an ENFP its interesting because I appreciate both of these guys so much in different ways. I trust the ISTJ so much, immediately you can tell he's reporting the facts. but I really appreciate the INTJs contextualization, without it my Ne would be grasping at straws. I actually really love the order, first the INTJ told us whats going on, then the ISTJ broke it down.
The information the INTJ guy gave was just so much easier to listen to. He got the important stuff to the point and gave some interesting facts on the side.
I definitely fall into the Si sensory side, I absolutely can not understand something without a heap of details. I need to be able to picture every piece in my head, the physical/map details, the past /present details that lead up to the current problem/incident in order to truly understand it. Just getting the concepts would leave me with a ton of questions about what actually, physically happened. Sure, getting the quick concept details tells you the basics but I definitely wouldn't be satisfied that I "knew" what happened.
That’s very interesting. I’ve suspected that my mother is savior Si because when she asks what I did during the day I really struggle to come up with concrete examples, in particular because I don’t remember, in part because *I don’t care*. I’ll (savior Ni) say “I don’t know, same as always I guess” whereas she wants to know “what it was like to be there;” who was there, what were they doing, how their kids are, etc. My sister is the same and it drives us both nuts, lol.
And funny enough, as an N I feel I can leave a conversation with my ISTJ employee and understand the entire situation visually and technically, with no understanding of the point. Example: “last night one of the members interrupted someone else. They were asked to mute. They struggled to mute. Then they muted.” Ok?!!!! Lol So what are you saying? Do you want to change our Zoom meeting settings going forward? Do you want to reprimand the interrupter? Do you think it will discourage conversation going forward? What’s the significance? The play by play doesn’t tell me why we’re even having a conversation.
Lol as soon as Dave said "blanco niño" I thought in my head "nice catch blanco niño, too bad your ass got sacked!" That quote has been taking up real estate in my head for 10 years too.
Yeah, that SI is super annoying. It's so detailed I can't even read comments while I watch b/c I'll get lost and not have any idea what's happening. Much prefer getting a general idea of the situation with random facts thrown in after.
@@AK-jt7kh When he showed Google maps, I was like, "Okay..that's a dam. Yep. Can't you talk and show visuals at the same time? Let's get to the point." I'm a Fi-Ne dom.
🤣 I am convinced my husband is ISTJ, though he won’t take personality tests. I’m always saying, “Wait, what is your main point?” as he plods along in a story. And also wishing I could set him to 2x speed as he talks. 😂
The overall picture (which is Ni :)) I get from this is that we need both of em. One to explain the big picture and one to go into the details. The Ni guy sees the forest, knows where it ends and begins, what type of forest and which climate. The Si guy doesn't know this but instead knows what type of trees are in the forest, how healthy the individual trees, plants and soil are. It's like the Ni people are up in a helicopter and the Si people are down on the ground.
I’m with Shan! I’m like “what am I looking at here?” Unless I have a concept of what I’m looking for before hand, I’m gunna lose track of the sensory. Tell me what’s important so I know what to look for. But I think the first guy told us what to look for better while the sensory guy showed us better. To be expected
Do you still want that approach towards learning how make a certain dish, directions to getting somewhere, or studying a certain topic before taking a test? Having the concept first feels like hearing a mission statement or objective. However for me not having sensory first feels like opening a textbook with a index or table of contents but not having any of the pages numbered or (and this is what really makes me extremely peeved) having the information not be put in same order like how it was showed originally in the table of contents.
@@TheNicMMc for sure there are many things where Si is the way to go, but for me its just hard for me to understand when someone teaches or talks like that because it's not how I think
@chance I would second that. I do prefer to be taught a subject with context first and not too many facts at once. It's too much. I have to pause to contemplate and connect each fact, so I end up going into my mind and not listening. Then when I come out of my mind and I'm listening again I'm totally lost, because now Si is like 10 more fact ahead of me and I'm having trouble connecting them to newly built concept..... But as for a recipe. You can just give me the facts. I'm just going to throw it all together anyway and not follow the directions. But it helps to have a "guideline" of "about 1cup of sugar, cook right around 20 minutes" that's how I cook. Everytime it's a new experiment 😅😅
Oh and directions, start with the area of town. Like it's North East of the river/ interstate over by Meijer, or whatever major landmark/ shopping area etc. That's all I'll need. That's probably all I'll remember anyway. All the details just confuse me. I'll figure out the details as I go, just give me the general direction to head in. 😉
This is a great video, the INTJ reminds me of an INTJ friend of mine. I very much enjoyed the way he expressed himself and his thoughts over the communication style of most people. He's doing pretty big things now. I knew he would be.
Ok so now I know for sure my friend is an Si, probably ESTJ. he will start a conversation with a bunch of facts one after the other. He doesn't get my attention first to make sure I'm listening to what he's saying, so the whole time I'm listening I'm just thinking what the hell are you talking about??? Then finally after like 10 minutes of shit I didn't even retain I can ask a question to get context. Then he's pissed like I should've known that the whole time 🤷
I like both. But the Si one to me is more useful, it’s factual information that I can store in my brain and think about. The Ni one is a quick summary I would appreciate if I’m in a rush on my way to work or something - ENFP
@Mr. 8-Bit Doggo You checked my channel? I don't listen to japanese music. It was just a little phase in my childhood. You could cluster it by using genres and characteristics like speed, volume, agressive, harmonic and stuff
I'm an INFP. And a lot of the music I listen to is INFP-esque in nature. Difficulty coping with the world..loneliness..civilization sucking..technology being the answer..dwelling on sadness of the past..hedonism... All that fun stuff that makes you want to dance.
As an INTJ (occasionally typed as ISTJ) and a student journalist, this reminds me of the inverted pyramid structure we use to write a news story. INTJ gives the main idea with the context (5 W's rundown) and then ISTJ dives into the more specific details.
ISTJ here and I do want to point out while getting to the point is of course important, it is also very important not to lose track of important details! Once you zone out and don't pay attention to an important detail, you run a high risk of sabotaging your own success, which is quite unfortunate since it could be solved if you had just paid attention a bit more. Big picture concept is important but it's all theoretical until the details put it into practice and execution, so I hope no one here is feeling high and mighty that the only important thing is the big picture.
My music collection has a lot of percussion (usually drums, sometimes electronic beats) and electric guitar, usually high energy with a medium to fast tempo.
This was very helpful! I hope you do more of these videos where you compare functions by using real life examples. Try to use more of Si when you make your videos! I feel like most of your videos are very much like the INTJ one with good context and then some random sensory thrown at us. Would be nice to see more balance with Si and see if it helps us Si-users to understand your work better :)
This was so good! I totally agree on the constantly waiting for the overview. Very interesting video. INTJ here. I had not thought much about the fact that Se is so random like that but YES! You're so right, just like Ne is random and Fe is random. Te seems less random though. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out. I'll be more careful in the future to be more structured when presenting Se info. I think I generally DO present Se content with some structure simply because in graduate school as a scientist, I learned the importance of communicating in a very structured way (hypothesis, methods, results, discussion, etc.) really well and as a web designer I've learned the importance of aligning the visual with the content but still I want to dial it in even more now that you point this out. Thanks!
That’s because ISFPs have a Se/Ni pair in contrast to ISTJ’s Si/Ne pair, so you lean more towards the INTJ explaination since they have a Ni/Se pair Bottom line, it just boils down to if you have Si or Ni. Learn the functions, since the letters alone aren’t enough
Head Phones Exactly! Over-saturation of details will put me to sleep. Can I touch it? Feel it? See it? No? Give me the Ni/Se pair up, please! Seeing the actual river/lakes themselves are what I want. Great analysis. 👏
As an ISFP honestly I do prefer accurate sensory material to be represented at the same time of delivering the information. However, prefer it to be quick to the point. If there are too much information, chop chop dude speed up your game :p Keywords would be: a short message, quick to the point, as accurate as possible.
As an INTJ now i know why i hate studying history when i was at school cuz there're 100%context and truth and no conclusion. Can't remember nothing after reading a whole history book
I loved history as an INTJ but its full of ISTJ and ISFJ classmates. They just memorize facts and dates lol. To them that's history. What INTJ does is looks for narrative context... why did this event happen? What were the causes of this event? What came from it? Very very different history essays too lol. Ours tell a story of cause and effect... ISTJ essays are just a list of facts in chronological order haha.
Wait! You can't just *casually* bring up music preferences being a *pattern* and then *not* talk more about it! 😲🤯 I *need* this information! Which types are attracted to which types of music? Which types have the strongest or most likely preference for a certain type of music? Which ones have the most random preferences? *PLEASE* do a video on this subject? 🥺
If you think Si details are confusing, you should try to follow an intuitive's analogy of this situation. Every time I hear "Think of it as ...." I die a little inside
This is really interesting! Seems like Blast gives people energy to pour into helping people along and stay connected to something they want people to understand. Si blast does that through concrete linking. Ni blast does that through abstract linking.
@Tommy Hass too many words have Sensory association. I reworded it to "abstract linking" vs "concrete linking" but that's not precisely accurate so you'll have to translate it into your own words that make sense to you. If you think of better way to explain the same concept, I'd love to see it!
@@subtleGradient SiTe Blast - "here, let me show you how this one thing leads to the next thing, no emotional reaction please." I use my hands and arms to recreate roads and intersections when giving directions
But the clip from the ISTJ doesn't start at the beginning of his video. It starts out with an aerial shot of a river going over one of the dams, so you see what the guy will be talking about. And the video has a title: "Michigan Dam(s) fail! Tittabawassee River." And I actually felt comfortable with the amount of background context the ISTJ guy gave. About a sentence or two was enough, then he went into some details with the help of a map, probably so the audience could get more context. I don't see what your problem was, since you were told there were two dam failures. Good enough. And you don't get why you should care? That video is on a channel about accidents and disasters. Why are you watching it? (ISTJ here, if you want to know). It might have been better for you to have said that the ISTJ feels that a little context is enough, not that they don't give context at all. Sheesh Shan, no need to go overboard. And please spare me your take on musical tastes. There may be some relationships with type -- at the level of the 512, not 16 -- but a lot depends on early upbringing and the music heard by the time a person is in their early 20's. (You got me wrong, so I got annoyed).
I’m an INTJ and i loved the INTJ’s explanation. Tell me the big picture and a few details only. My mind will connect the rest. I just get annoyed when someone over explains things to me. I will completely tune out.
When I next ask for directions. I'll ask: "Excuse me are you lead Ni". Think I just saw this at play when while one guy was giving detailed step by step, his colleague just walked him over to the map and showed him the overall picture
Thank you for this video! I couldn't stand the ISTJ way, I was like: What? What's with that much information? I won't recall those stupid details if there is no point, I can't understand anything here. On INTJ side, so beautiful, simple, direct and we get the emotion with this beautiful music, everything that ai needed. Thank you to show INTJ, I wouldn't understand ISTJ video.
What Shan said about wanting to see the whole puzzle this piece fits into is so relatable. It's excruciating sometimes listening to all those details without knowing the context in which to interpret them. But I've talked extensively with ISTJs to pick their brains and one told me part of the reason he tells stories like that is because in his mind, his memories play like a video in linear fashion, from beginning to end, and so it's literally impossible for him to skip around to another part, summarize, or "get to the point." What's hilarious is that if you tell an ISTJ to hurry up and get to the point, they'll just continue their story with all the trivial details they'd normally include, but try to talk a little faster. 😅 I've also had the experience of helping navigate with an ISTJ driving. He always wants the step-by-step directions on Google Maps, but I can't tell where we are with that crap. No, go back, zoom out, show me the map... As long as I know which way is North, I can tell you where to go. Google Maps is like the perfect metaphor in that sense. I frequently find myself telling SJs they can't see the forest for the trees. If they're only looking at the step-by-step written directions, then no wonder! Lol Speaking of which, the STJs I know seem to have trouble with Cardinal directions. Like if I ask "You mean you parked at the Northeast corner or the Southwest corner?" they'll act dumbfounded. But that strikes me as something that might depend on the Si-user's personal experience and familiarity, so maybe there's no correlating pattern with S-Si there. But I'd be curious to know if there is!
I don't know if I have sensory in my consume or my sleep, but my CS makes me really aggressive when the data is not organized. Like seriously, do not gloss the details if the details are important to you. Some people always be skipping the details and have the nerve to be mad when people don't "get it" and I'm like "No shit, asshole. You were way too much into your big flashy introduction and then you jump right into the conclusion."
I enjoy the version of the ISTJ more, if i have nothing to do and want to listen to sb. to blabber in the background. Myself (INTJ 5w6, no OP-Test) would prefer my own version. Just give me the big pictures, followed by some random small pictures and i'm good.
I am confused about my type, but, I would make a video like this: 1. So, a dam broke out somewhere in our state 2. But luckily, nobody lost their lives or property. 3. Now, let's focus on impact this will have on our water inlets. 4. I noticed that it won't hamper our water resources much. 5. Have a great day! 6. Noticed that this is a public company, so no impacts on the stocks much either. 7. If water entered your farms & you are expecting loss in revenue, do consult whether you'll get your insurance to pay gor the losses. 8. Let's meet again in the next video.
I really like these comparative videos! Could you do some more? I'm an ENFP, so I have Si as well - I can recognize the ISTJ detail orientated mode in myself when I study for Science exams. So the result is a perfect balance between going deep and going broad : I'd focus on a particular exzym in pathway A only to find out it has a cousin in pathway B, so I can link the two apparently unrelated pathways and see the bigger picture :D And, if I'm not mistaken, the ISTJ's music was ruclips.net/video/joh4rzVk6uY/видео.html xD
Omg the G.I. Joe memes!! I'm an ISTJ and my INTJ friend and I used to bust a gut to those...those 2 in particular!! Anytime something was amuck we'd yell, "PORK CHOP SANDWICHES!!" 🤣😂🤣😂
I was just thinking today about how Si users love to see the sensory dots connecting. Like: this event happened because of this, and this is possible because of that... All the facts are connected in the physical world, but in the abstract world everything is blurry and chaotic, they don't tell you why this is important, how this connects to the big picture, what is the point behind all this sensory blast.
ISTJ is me when I want to impress my teacher in a report and make them think I am knowledgeable. I spew tidbits of facts/numbers/data that may or may not have impactful relevance to the subject. INTJ is me when I actually like the topic of my report and am excited to share what I discovered. I only share the important and basic parts and dwell on this interesting little part that exploded my brain, like discovering the missing cog that make the clockwork tick. Then be like, "yeah? You get me? You see the picture now? Awesome, right?"
Wow, my INTP Si bias is strong. I really prefer the Si dominant way of explanation as it gives me all the information my Ti wants to fully understand the situation. Ni was cool on speaking on why it was significantly but I kinda was like lol I don't Ne care about just your explanation, what the heck are you actually talking about in the real world so I can determine if I care enough to listen. Yea Si dom can seem to give alot of info and seem boring. But I think just hearing the solitary Ni conclusion without context is a solitary limited view.
It seemed to me like the si guy gave an overview. 🤷🏻♀️Two dams failed and emergency spillways failed. Perfect. That’s all I need. Then he went into details. (Which I didn’t care about because I already got the overview.) Ni guy took too long with his overview and I got bored. Can anyone explain what I’m missing?
Oh am soooooo INTJ. I just about reached through the screen to strangle the ISTJ with his explanations. Just get to the point, don't bore me with the details!
what does it mean that i am literally exhausted by watching both of these people and now i need 500 naps. omfg. is there any other ways to learn about the differences between Ni and Si without having to dig through to their minds and being attacked by their Te talking about something i cannot possibly care about? I just want to be told. 😭
Both INTJ and ISTJ seem to start with context using almost the same type of concrete explanation (since the matter concerns concrete events involving two dams). INTJ got down to the point by condensing what and how via-a-vis dams’ failure. I agree that the ISTJ linearly explains the events - how the dams failed was preceded by what the event was only. Neither, however, discussed anything in “concepts”, so I’m guessing your use of the word is loose. Like, INTJ’s opening was condensed enough for you to imagine the dams’ failure in succession w/o requiring unique details about each dam.
I’m an INTJ, but every time I have taken the test and it has given me percentages, the Sensory and the Intuitive have been in the 40/50 range( the most common being 52 intuitive and 48 sensory) So when I tell stories I tend to fluctuate between the two. Either I’ll start explaining the big picture but then zero in on some random fact and expound in that or I’ll try to give the contextual information, then pull back and generalize the main concept before returning to the details. I generally tend to confuse people a lot
ISTJ stereotypic has been detected. 'Let's talk about the details first'. I'm an INTJ by the way. Also I'm detecting INTJ stereotypes. Nodding, laughing and pretending to care but she looks bored. I know I would.
I was disinterested in the commentary of the Ni guy as I don't care about some dam that exploded in the area where I don't live. But Si guy got me interested because I was interested in knowing why would such a thing happen.
Hey :) Would be very interesting if you guys analize the kind of music the types tend to listen to and why. I never thought about a possible consistency and pattern between types and music/maybe art in general, even on a visual level? Thanks for your work!
I feel like I just watched a lot of inside jokes. I didn't really get. But the subjects didn't really interested me. I was just interested in the human aspect. And omg I was wondering how to deferentiate an intj from an istj from the way they act..My brain just shuts off when the Istj talked. I also asked 2 proffesionals in the hospital how to get somewhere and they gave a 10 step route and my brain shut off too and then I got lost 😂😂 and it was just next to the entre door. Ofcourse these were sensors probably ISFJ's but might also have been istj and for me it's my biggest problem to listen to too much details so this makes sense. But to be honest I wouldn't say the sensors I know talk that extreme.. For instance my ESTP friend can talk quite cut to the chace but she get's in trouble when I think in long term concepts and solutions. Soo not 100% sure yet If I would recognise the difference in day to day life 🤔 (enfj)
I have an unrelated question: did you guys type families and noticed a hereditary transmission of axes? Can two Ti-Fe parents have an Fi-Te kid for example?
I think, that at least decisive functions, are created after birth, when child starts to communicate on higher level. Maybe between 2-3rd year. If the child is judger, the sooner you stop reacting to his emotions, higher the chance, that he becomes Te-Fi user. Because its display of emotions no longer works on parents. So it has to figure out, what they want. And that is Te. Children of people, who still react to its emotions have to learn, which emotions gives them, what they want. And that is Fe. That is probably reason, why there is more male Te-Fi judgers, than female. People are nicer to girls, than to boys. And then it is opposite in perceivers, because they learn slower the human interaction. So Fi-Te perceivers get what they ask for, and simply don't learn patterns of their parents behavior, and Ti-Fe perceivers don't get, what they ask for and also don't learn anything.
I'm asking this question because I noticed some kind of transmission in my own family. Though I haven't typed everybody, but there's an awful lot of Ni doms in my family and I was wondering.

Then they muted.”
Ok?!!!! Lol
So what are you saying? Do you want to change our Zoom meeting settings going forward? Do you want to reprimand the interrupter? Do you think it will discourage conversation going forward? What’s the significance? The play by play doesn’t tell me why we’re even having a conversation.
First comment for the first time on YT. Btw, thank you guys for these vids as they've helped me type myself as an INTJ
🤣
Lol as soon as Dave said "blanco niño" I thought in my head "nice catch blanco niño, too bad your ass got sacked!" That quote has been taking up real estate in my head for 10 years too.
That Si chain! Walking down the timeline of the sensory.
Yeah, that SI is super annoying. It's so detailed I can't even read comments while I watch b/c I'll get lost and not have any idea what's happening.
Much prefer getting a general idea of the situation with random facts thrown in after.
I actually really enjoyed how fast he talks and how detailed his is...perhaps that is my tertiary Si talking
It's like the Ni people are up in a helicopter and the Si people are down on the ground.
l just love Dave's facial reaction when hearing ISTJ speaking. hahahha
Im the same way, I think, regardless of which is your savior, if you are on the ni se axis that this will apply
Wow my dream has come true finally the video I needed. This video has confirmed intj over istj for me
I’d find both ways combined to be perfect:
1. Accurate sensory material that is represented at the same time as the info
2. Quick to the point
- ISFP
Yeah! There's a thing called B-roll footage!
So, who else wants a music-type survey now!? :D
@Mr. 8-Bit Doggo You checked my channel? I don't listen to japanese music. It was just a little phase in my childhood.
You could cluster it by using genres and characteristics like speed, volume, agressive, harmonic and stuff
@Mr. 8-Bit Doggo Yeah, but it can still be determined, I think. For example, the Japanese music I listened to is mainly Nu Metal.
My favorite music instrument is the blaster horn. SiTe ISTJ.
Mr. 8-Bit Doggo Most Japanese music in video games has a funk fusion element to it; The old Gran Turismo music for example
INTJ: So the Illuminati caused this event, it's happened again!
ISTJ: Explain everything in details
Ok. So when do you guys get into explaining the relationship between music and cognitive type?
I know I would love to see a video about that correlation!
I'm ENTP and I like loud and fast music. My favorite is probably EDM with abrasive synths.
@@micahgmiranda
Same.;) especially remixes of electric swing.
@@micahgmiranda Lol Same -another ENTP
My music collection has a lot of percussion (usually drums, sometimes electronic beats) and electric guitar, usually high energy with a medium to fast tempo.
If you can do a video that demonstrates the correlation between personality type and music choice that would be fascinating!
This is why I watch most youtube videos on 1.5x speed.
And 2x speed if it's Gamers Nexus.
Thanks!
These are really good examples. It would be great if you could show Fi or Ne presentation like this
I’m a “sensor” and I cannot handle the ISTJ example. -ISFP
That’s because ISFPs have a Se/Ni pair in contrast to ISTJ’s Si/Ne pair, so you lean more towards the INTJ explaination since they have a Ni/Se pair
Bottom line, it just boils down to if you have Si or Ni.
If there are too much information, chop chop dude speed up your game :p
Keywords would be: a short message, quick to the point, as accurate as possible.
I only understood the second guy 😂
Yeah first guy had really bad presentation.
I love your channel so bad!
If you think Si details are confusing, you should try to follow an intuitive's analogy of this situation. Every time I hear "Think of it as ...." I die a little inside
How can details ever be confusing? If anything, they help you understand more.
Thank god I’m not a istj. I hate talking to them, but I can always count on them.
Your footages are insane good LMAO
ISTJ makes me restless , just finish the damn thing and save my time ,just allergic to extra useless information
You mean the dam thing?
@@sbpetty DAM RIGHT
This is really interesting!
@@subtleGradient 😂🤖 nice
@@subtleGradient SiTe Blast - "here, let me show you how this one thing leads to the next thing, no emotional reaction please." I use my hands and arms to recreate roads and intersections when giving directions
Am an intj with an istj partner. This vid shows how we tell stories to each other. 🤣
When I first learned mbti I didn't know if I was ISTJ or INTJ because stupid reddit and stupid steorytypes, but figured it out thanks to this channel
I’m an INTJ and i loved the INTJ’s explanation. Tell me the big picture and a few details only. My mind will connect the rest. I just get annoyed when someone over explains things to me. I will completely tune out.
good lord, the stress of the Si-Ne. ugh. (ESTJ here 🙉)
When I next ask for directions. I'll ask:
"Excuse me are you lead Ni".
Think I just saw this at play when while one guy was giving detailed step by step, his colleague just walked him over to the map and showed him the overall picture
as an INTJ I find the ISTJ annoying. I feel like he is wasting my time. I just want the so what. I cant do the damn Te myself
And then the Ne guy would be all crazy giving all sorts of possible scenarios
Thank you for this video! I couldn't stand the ISTJ way, I was like:
What? What's with that much information? I won't recall those stupid details if there is no point, I can't understand anything here.
On INTJ side, so beautiful, simple, direct and we get the emotion with this beautiful music, everything that ai needed.
Thank you to show INTJ, I wouldn't understand ISTJ video.
The INTJ guy looks like Austin Ollar
One of my friends hates it when I tell stories because I interject with random facts and targets.
Subscribed. This is AWESOME. Great analysis. Hope for more 😁
What Shan said about wanting to see the whole puzzle this piece fits into is so relatable. 😅
I've also had the experience of helping navigate with an ISTJ driving. Lol
Speaking of which, the STJs I know seem to have trouble with Cardinal directions.
Im ISTJ and even that was excessive. I dont think all ISTJ are like that tbh.
Made me realize my dad is an ISTJ. Lol.
ESTJ dad is just like that 😂
2:55 I love how Shan can be unintentionally funny sometimes xd, so wholesome
I enjoy the version of the ISTJ more, if i have nothing to do and want to listen to sb. to blabber in the background. Myself (INTJ 5w6, no OP-Test) would prefer my own version. Just give me the big pictures, followed by some random small pictures and i'm good.
I am confused about my type, but, I would make a video like this:
1. So, a dam broke out somewhere in our state
Can you guys make more video like this, in comparison with types...makes it clear to see side by side...every video is so much to learn!
I really like these comparative videos! Could you do some more?
I'm an ENFP, so I have Si as well - I can recognize the ISTJ detail orientated mode in myself when I study for Science exams. So the result is a perfect balance between going deep and going broad : I'd focus on a particular exzym in pathway A only to find out it has a cousin in pathway B, so I can link the two apparently unrelated pathways and see the bigger picture :D
And, if I'm not mistaken, the ISTJ's music was ruclips.net/video/joh4rzVk6uY/видео.html xD
Prog music and ISTJ's, they just make love each other.
love the examples you guys use
Omg the G.I. Joe memes!! I'm an ISTJ and my INTJ friend and I used to bust a gut to those...those 2 in particular!! Anytime something was amuck we'd yell, "PORK CHOP SANDWICHES!!" 🤣😂🤣😂
ISTP and INTP would be awesome if possible
I watch in 3x to 4x speed but when some intj type come who is just talking about bigger concept i have yo dial it down to 2x or 1.5😂
I was just thinking today about how Si users love to see the sensory dots connecting. Like: this event happened because of this, and this is possible because of that... All the facts are connected in the physical world, but in the abstract world everything is blurry and chaotic, they don't tell you why this is important, how this connects to the big picture, what is the point behind all this sensory blast.
Oh, the topic of music preferences tied to types sounds very interesting
...more belly laughs from a G.I. Joe ending!!😂🤣
My ISTJ coworker’s music is hilarious. I totally hate it, but it seems to make his life better somehow.
ISTJ explained it way better than INTJ
Intj was way more palatable than the robotic Istj for me. But I'm an intuitive so makes sense
Does that mean that INFPs or other personalities with the Ne-Si function also tend to talk like the ISTJ guy?
It seemed to me like the si guy gave an overview. 🤷🏻♀️Two dams failed and emergency spillways failed. Perfect. That’s all I need. Then he went into details. (Which I didn’t care about because I already got the overview.) Ni guy took too long with his overview and I got bored. Can anyone explain what I’m missing?
as an ENFP, I have tried to finish teh video all the way through but I just cannpt get through teh ISTJ slow talker at 2x speed XD
That last GI Joe is me.
So Ni starts with the results and go backwards presenting how happened and Si presents what happened that get to that result?!
Like, INTJ’s opening was condensed enough for you to imagine the dams’ failure in succession w/o requiring unique details about each dam.
great content. i also almost died from GI Joe pork chop sandwiches!
Super cool comparison! Ni linking context with disconnected sensory. What would Ne look like? disconnected abstractions?
This is pretty accurate. My parents are ISTJ and INTJ.
Please do a video about types and music, that one comment was very intriguing I’d love to hear more about your take
Maybe it's because I spent most of my formative years in NYC, but I am an ISTJ who talks fast.
the intj guy gave a lot of details, my feeble NE brain really couldn’t hold on to them >.<
he barely gave any concept tho
I get typed as either INTJ or ISTJ, but I can't listen to the ISTJ at all. He really needs to get to the point.
I’m an INTJ, but every time I have taken the test and it has given me percentages, the Sensory and the Intuitive have been in the 40/50 range( the most common being 52 intuitive and 48 sensory)
So when I tell stories I tend to fluctuate between the two. Either I’ll start explaining the big picture but then zero in on some random fact and expound in that or I’ll try to give the contextual information, then pull back and generalize the main concept before returning to the details. I generally tend to confuse people a lot
Same lad...
Love Juan Brown! 👍🏼
ISTJ stereotypic has been detected. 'Let's talk about the details first'. I'm an INTJ by the way.
Also I'm detecting INTJ stereotypes. Nodding, laughing and pretending to care but she looks bored. I know I would.
Omg! Ni is so much better to listen to than Si. Lol!
I think the NI guy made more sense, I mean how much information do we really need to understand what’s going on.
Can someone please tell me where the GIJoe thing is from bc I’m dying
ruclips.net/video/z8K08AcVru0/видео.html
wth was the beginning of the video lmao
Interesting question 🤔
Dave typed both of his parents as having Ti-Fe. So yes, two Ti-Fe parents can have an Fi-Te child.
