I love it when people use the term "you don't understand". 99% of the time, the one making that statement is the one who doesn't understand. Narrative has become too easy to subvert and control.
This might not be what you’re talking about, nishbrown, but I do think there’s another way of looking at people saying “you don’t understand”. I think there’s a lot of people that really aren’t good at listening, and make lots of assumptions about people without being willing to check their biases. It seems to me that this happens to me a lot. I’ll say something, and someone assumes they know what’s behind what I’m saying. But actually, they’re totally wrong, and after MUCH discussion when I finally get them to listen, they realize what I meant in the first place. Probably it’s partly my fault for not being good at explaining things, but I really feel like lots of people are also bad at listening. In which case “you don’t understand” is perfectly justifiable, I think.
@@KayKayBayForever Precisely. I just had a discussion with my father, wherein I agreed with a right-wing talking head on his television. I had to explain that it was for completely different reasons than he thought it was. A good alternative to labeling someone else's supposed mentality is to first elaborate on, and explain, your own.
You're contradicting yourself. If it's easy to subvert, then by definition, it's not easy to control, and vice versa. The ability to control the narrative is basically mostly due to tech (ie, how many people can you reach, and how expensive it is => Determines how centralized the info center will be), anyway, so to determine if it has become one or the other, we have to examine the latest tech, the Internet. It made it easy to subvert the narrative early on, due to its decentralized/everyone has a voice nature, so everyone can drop a comment on whatever. It also allowed users from the internet to attack more classic media, and debunks/disprove it. That's basically spelled the death of legacy media, be it on Tv or even Newspaper. And the "everyone has a voice" side made it so that anyone could find a public easily enough, that's the "chaos"/freedom tons of people liked about the internet, a wild west. As such, the internet is/was highly subvertive/decentralized. In fact, that's exactly what trolls are, subvertive individuals doing for shit and giggles. The switch we've seen/are seeing, though, is the new centralization with Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc, (which are even more centralized to California due to the silicon valley.), basically settling that Wild West. With them, come tons of busybodies who need for it to be "safe" (Think of the children !"), and calling for regulations. They don't like being trolled/being the butt of jokes, so they hated trolls and are tyring to stop the subvertive nature of the internet. And that's also how you get that new breed of "trolls", who are being subvertive, but that's because they want to be in control themselves. Basically, activists. Eitheir wy, in that sense, the internet is a control/centralized force. So yeah, the Internet is switching from a subvertive to a control force. That tendency isn't set in stone just yet (after all, people are starting to use the term anti-trust around thoses enterprises and new power centers)
I have an ISTJ mother and co-worker who accurately depict this "I am responsible for Si/Te, don't touch it, you fix everything else and here are some rules" mentality. Typically they drive me up the wall with their bull, but I am sure they feel the same about me with all my NF hippy crap. 🤭😂
My father in law is an ISTJ who is particularly rigid about certain things. (He likely is somewhere on the autism spectrum.) Anyway, some sick part of my INFP self just has to mess with his rules. Not in a mean way, more as a joke. He likes the forks to sit a certain way in the drawer, and lets everyone know that this is the best way to stack forks and it must be done this way. Feel exactly the same...and however I try, cannot figure out what my type is according to personality typing...as similarly- due to my upbringing and its influence on my life so far, I probably haven’t spent great amount of time in my ‘ego function’, but switching about the others according to the situation I had to navigate myself through... So after many struggles I’ve arrived into simply wanting to be myself, without the need to start to describe and frame it in any way {other than human being - or simply myself}. I’m finding the simplistic labelling we do to our selfs and others quite unfortunate, as somehow though the time these labels got mistakenly accepted as a measure of a person’s value...the humanity, soul and spirit of people has been pushed into the shadows.
Pierrick YAH I’m not sure if this is a joke on “do not understand” lolol but as far as I can see it Shan is like, pushing away the funny (demon fem Fi) because it is making her laugh too much. Too much emotion 😉
It is clapping her hands with the other person. There just isn't another person. Maybe it is Se-Ni thing. When you hear good joke, you clap your hands with another person (action). She made that move, because she had this association, and she was physically expressing it. At least, that is what I think. INTJ
@@cherieminer5422 What is your type? It is interesting to know, how different types look at the same thing, and have different conclusions. Janko M. are you officially typed? I thought I was an INTJ for a while and I’m getting my official results Friday. I somehow have demon Ni realized I’m an ESFP though. FF Se/Fi CS/B(P) probably. I get along w INTJs (official) rlly well though 😁

Meanwhile, my knee jerk reaction as (allegedly, according to me with my obviously flawless ability to type my own damn self) an MF-Ne/Ti-CP/S(B) would be something along the lines of: "People should be smart enough to figure out if something is real or not, why would you try to ruin the fun by telling people exactly what they're looking at instead of letting people think for themselves? You people need to learn to figure things out by yourseeeeelf!1!! Don't label my fuuuun!! 0_o"
Yes exactly! Both myself and my boyfriend are auxillary Ne, and we hate it when the pieces are all spelled out. It ruins the fun of putting all the puzzle pieces together, and the fun of experiencing a little mind-blow moment (such as a twist in a movie or the realisation of a pattern in the real world)
ISTJs, I need your help! I'm an ENFJ, with an ISTJ friend. My approach to personal problems is... talk, talk, feel, feel, wishy, washy, vague and unclear. Which from the discription is likely driving her crazy. She's struggling a little bit now, so I was hoping for some tips from you. Trying to make use of my Ti here, or at least, I think I am.
ISTJs dont like wishy-washy-feely, it only confuses them more. If they are struggling they want clear, concrete steps they can undertake to improve their situation, and preferably a logical explanation why these steps will work. Because ISTJs don't like to waste time.
Ah yes, my grandfather is an ISTJ. He puts a premium on sequential, easily comprehended instructions and hates it when well enough isn't left alone. I loathe his lack of appreciation for finding a more efficient way to do something (since it's new and unproven), and this is compounded by his purist views on intent of technology (this tool is meant for that purpose, and no other), but I can get on board with a lot of his "tried and true" thinking if it is simple and effective such that resources can be spent on more things. Also, clarity of communication? Paramount, in my opinion. This comes from my Te of course; I'm sure Si is a demon here in any case, since I find sequential logic tedious and a huge waste of time.
I'd argue that what you call sequential logic is a cornerstone of the scientific method. We have to be clear and ordered in describing our procedures so that others can replicate our experiments. It's like showing your work in math class - it's all well and good that we can figure out the answer mentally, but we have to demonstrate that we know the "rules."
@@dylonias Aye. There is an importance to it. It's a manifestation of order; beautiful really. It's just tedious to perform sometimes... to slow down and take things one step at a time. Well, time to get cracking on my Si, I suppose.
"..clarity of communication? Paramount..." Agreed. And, in my experience, everyone does (agree).. I.E., Communication is the skeletal structure of human relationships. Hence, Clarity is essential. It's just that some people are hypocrites (the: "in denial" variety), whom, only want &/or *demand* clarity of communication (whence it fits within the Rule sets they've established, & in pursuit of any goal *they're* after). So, yeah. I'm sorta confused about how this video has Objectively arrived at anything tangeable for one specific type &/or function. Like. Not really confused. As in, I'm not seeking Clarity. I just disagree lol. Like, you want results? K. There must be clear rules & clear communication(s)... Clear consequences/rewards. So. Yeah. *tf* does that have to do with Objectively labeling any one particular type again? 😂
This is me in a nutshell. I try so hard to fight this at work ALL THE TIME! But my ST is double feminine sleep so I really do need it for myself and really hate it when I am in a position in which things are not clear to me. It always annoying because they always have the perspective of someone who already know what ST works therefore ALWAYS skips intros, "ST" steps and the real deal "NT" fundamentals as oppose having the fucking intuition to someone who coming from outside that needs all of THAT. And the worst offenders are those with such an high mighty attitude when someone doesn't get it and by large are the worst instructors and have made my life worse because of them. They can be cute, funny and kind even but by god they can't not explain to save their lives. They only live to "SF" judge knowledge instead of fucking explaining it.
Oh, to get in the mind of someone who thinks rules work in life... yes, and no. Wisdom is the only way to make things work. Got to figure out how things work and just learn to deal with what comes your way. Even if you feel like someone's put you on a rollercoaster.
Really great. Also jumping out at me the double-deciding; they need to do xyz and do it faster and do it better, but I also know it's hard and they're working on it and it takes time. No judgement on Susan whatsherface. Anyway, back to the REAL freakout about the label, and let me tell you what it sensor looked like, and it wasn't ST clear, and that's where she gets intense.
Ok, I am definitely demon Se (would everybody just shut up, you're too loud! 😂) The video thumbnail of this lady looks like a female version of my dad 😳 I'm pretty sure he's ISTJ, too...
I'm saviour Fi/Ne, as soon as she said "they need to make this their 100% priority and do this ASAP" I was literally saying "mmm, pretty sure Facebook probably has other issues and priorities that are important", basically exactly what S and D went on to say Ne/Fi would be seeing lol

Perhaps she would also have more respect for individuals to learn to detect deep fake videos themselves, either through seeing error-patterns in the video, or being aware that the politician’s behaviour in the video doesn’t match with that politician’s established character/value system. aka. NeFi. Her saviour-SiTe demands to be told via a label “THIS VIDEO IS FAKE”. as a saviour-NeFi that label would make me watch the video to check whether the algorithm got it right 😂
This is really interesting. I teach foreign language and I’m wondering if the students that get frustrated the most easily when there’s not a 1:1 correspondence between the foreign language and English tend to be demon Ni or Ne. There are plenty of rules which appeals to Si, but there are also lots of gray areas and times when one has to guess and infer. I wonder if these are also the types who feel the need to ask “wait, so that means ‘ball’?” when I am literally holding a ball and saying the word.
Haha, I’m called out now because I was just thinking this morning “They really need a better breakdown of the animals” I’m a Ne/Ti lol More details! Haha whoops
I was wondering, I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD and this got me thinking about whether or not ADHD would cluster around personality like autism does (if I remember correctly) my first thought is that because people with ADHD are hyperactive it would be really easy to (mis)type them as play over sleep even when they might have sleep over play basically, the question that I'm asking is, what would a person with ADHD look like if they have play last? I have a hypothesis but i'm curious to your input: I think they would behave pretty "normal" and not super hyperactive the majority of the time apart of some ticks perhaps (think tapping fingers, walking for no reason, fidgeting...) but when they're in a play state which will inevitably happen at some point they'd be unleashed and become super ADHD however i kind of wonder whether or not a person like this even would be diagnosed with ADHD since the symptoms are only really clear at specific times even though it's always there
From a general guess, I would say that ADHD with play last would have problems holding a conversation and can only give or take orders instead sharing new information. Like something is happening now but they can't point it out even though they are seeing by themselves. Someone has to lead them or they'll turtle (withdraw) themselves into a shell.
Hyperactive isnt really a thing. Its more about lack of concentration/attention. Lots of people stupidly assume you cant have ADHD beause you're not a squirrel on meth.
@@gregsander8439 there are 2 kinds of ADHD one of them is inattentive (of something like that) and the other one is the cliché one, hyperactive ADHD, you can also have both but i'm mainly wondering about the hiperactive version
Inattentive A.D.D. Is hyperactive as well. It's just that it's a mental hyperactivity. Your question isn't addressing all of the facets to give you the answer you're looking for.
I think...The "NF" seems to the part that make decisions or "want things" as oppose to just generally "SF" liking things. like an infj with masculine fe ni would blast other person's choice by insistently tell him/her on what she should choose as a final decision. And for contrast a masculine fe Si would blast their positive reactions to a person decision but will refuse or be very reluctant to tell that person on what they should choose.
btw why do you guys always wear long sleeve clothes and Shan frequently wears jackets/ hoodies ? Did you batch all these videos in the winter of 2019 and then release them periodically as you edit them? if that's the case, how is your info relevant to updated contexts? what's your process? is it always winter where you live? I've never seen you wearing short sleeve
Demon understanding would always piss me off so much at school cause kids would always be like ''This test is too hard how am I supposed to UNDERSTAND this?? You should have told me explicitly to memorize this blablablah.'' And I would just be like I understand it so why can't you?? It made me so mad that they were so lazy that they demanded to basically be given all the answers to the test.... Why are you in school then? ugh.
After hearing this I've got a bad feeling. It sounds like ISTJ people can 't do nothing right. It looked like making fun of me, as being an ISTJ myself.
blitzer658 Right?! It’s bleak because it implies the person who demands rule-setting should give up because chaos is inevitable. When the truth is, without that person banging on about the rules, others will forget, and it’s only because of those people does everyone remember to stay organised so we get a chance of enjoying this thing we’ve built called civilisation. The decision-makers at Facebook are going to be more aware of these blind spots, that’s what makes a good manager, taking into account the team member’s views (More control! More chaos!) and synthesising the best outcome. They wouldn’t be successful otherwise.
Nice! But, here's the thing. Before this can be Authentically called: "Objective," this is what your Test responses should *not* be: "I always *felt* 'such & such' was their type. Cool! Bring it on up!" It would/should look *waaaay* more like this: "Yeah? Hm. I'm not so sure about that. Let's see whatchya got!" That said, (& about this whole "Si 'Rules'" thing) if "the tribe" is gonna hold "the self" accountable & responsible for achieving certain goals, least "the tribe" should do, is set the fqn parameters clear, consistent, & straight. It's a lot less hypocritical (& a lot more Respectful/Respectable & Success Driven) that way. Oh yeah, and, clear rules allow for work/play balance. Otherwise... What's the fqn point of a "tribe?" For some douchebag "chief" to blow themselves (@ everyone else's expense)? Remember, folks: High level Respect may be *earned,* but, *NEVER* sell your Loyalty for cheap. Just my "2 cents."
"the fqn parameters clear, consistent, & straight." Bro...bro that would make my ST soooo happy But here's the thing with rules and people. They really don't know what their rules are...until someone breaks them and they'll get mad but the thing is they'll hold it in until they explode and then they'll forget about it during the next day >_> And whole cycle repeats it self! I have SiTi and so it pisses me off so much on a personal level and I'll be the only one that really remembers and actually follow the rules until I genuinely stop giving a shit. What about my SiTi rules. Nope! Only me apparently! Again >_>
Yeah...I mean not to overgeneralise people by their type BUT I really don't get along with lead Si people cuz they trigger the life out of me yet I kinda admire them by so strict and organised systems that they build for themselves n stick to it. That's probably n mainly cuz I suck at doing so

LOL We're good buds though and usually we agree on almost everything (I'm an INTJ so we share our middle functions).
The woman in this vid is right though. Big corporations can get away with so much shady shit because the law can be so vague and open to interpretation. And the big corporations already have the huge advantage of the ability to employ the best lawyers in the world to research any possible legal loophole.
Dave is always so funny. I love to watch Shanny laugh at him and him laugh at himself.
I can see how she is an IxxJ observer type. Fear of information, not fear of people/the tribe.
My ISTJ supervisor will never get past my savior Ti and Ne!
That explains a lot! The times people have asked my advice or opinion, or just shooting the breeze about the crap in their life. Then they go away and come back and chew me up because I ruined their life! Do these people not take responsibility for themselves?! Half the time I didn't even realise I was 'given them advice!' I was just saying the first things that come to mind. Kind of, 'throw this into the mix and see if it gives you a new angle to see your problem from!'
This is really eye opening
5:24 YESSSSSSSSSS
Savior intuition: I don't fucking get it, but I need to understand.
And that's when the brainstorming or narrowing down ideas start.
I love it when people use the term "you don't understand".
99% of the time, the one making that statement is the one who doesn't understand.
Narrative has become too easy to subvert and control.
@Mr. 8-Bit Doggo Speaking of subversion, many articles cited on wikipedia don't have sources.
Too
You're contradicting yourself.

Ugh
Thinking to myself...I hate rules 🤣
But then again, it’s my extroverted intuition.
I have an ISTJ mother and co-worker who accurately depict this "I am responsible for Si/Te, don't touch it, you fix everything else and here are some rules" mentality. Whenever anyone attempts to impose rules on me, the first thing I want to is break the rules and flip them off. Lol I know it's a problem and my biggest issue tends to be with ISTJs.
I love to turn his forks over and watch him freak out a little :D Sorry not sorry
@@aprilbl00m My ISTP son is like that and I am afraid he inherited from me. lmao
Maybe I have savior ST because I need other people to communicate to me as accurately and clearly as possible. Generally I'm very individualistic, live and let live, and don't like to be controlled. But when I become involved with other people, I tend to inevitably create "rules" which basically just an agreement from all people involved to accomodate each person's freedom. Because let's face it, some people just can't respect other people's boundary.
"I just wanna live my life according to what I like, and you should to, but if you want to live with me AND cannot respect me, here's some rules." This basically sums what my stance towards an intruder. lol
Come to think of it, I could also be an INFP in a rut (lifelong influenced by demon SiTe?). Or rather a TiSe (individualsitic IP, literal ST)?
^ my life philosophy
I still don't understand that move Shannon makes she laughs 11:12
Pierrick YAH I’m not sure if this is a joke on “do not understand” lolol but as far as I can see it Shan is like, pushing away the funny (demon fem Fi) because it is making her laugh too much. Too much emotion 😉
It is clapping her hands with the other person. There just isn't another person. Maybe it is Se-Ni thing. When you hear good joke, you clap your hands with another person (action). She made that move, because she had this association, and she was physically expressing it. At least, that is what I think. INTJ
Janko M. you’re probably much more right then I was 😂 that’s probably it
@@cherieminer5422 What is your type? It is interesting to know, how different types look at the same thing, and have different conclusions. I realize, that you also might be an INTJ, just with different experiences and associations. But I want to know. Give me data. I put this responsibility on you :)
Janko M. are you officially typed? I thought I was an INTJ for a while and I’m getting my official results Friday. I somehow have demon Ni realized I’m an ESFP though. FF Se/Fi CS/B(P) probably. I get along w INTJs (official) rlly well though 😁

pure love xD dave is looking about to burst whith how red he was. nice video.
I'm Ne, one of my friends freaks out when I make any sort of leap and demands my data that supports my claim. Theres frustration there because to me I'm not working off of data directly, and I dont get why everything needs to be spelled out for him. But from his POV it feels like im making stuff up
Meanwhile, my knee jerk reaction as (allegedly, according to me with my obviously flawless ability to type my own damn self) an MF-Ne/Ti-CP/S(B) would be something along the lines of: "People should be smart enough to figure out if something is real or not, why would you try to ruin the fun by telling people exactly what they're looking at instead of letting people think for themselves?
"THEY built it" "are THEY giving US accurate information?" "THEY should place labels" ughHHhHhHhh
@@blastoff2086 You are SO spot on!
lmao that Te masculine
Paramount..."
Agreed.
Video repeats twice, that is why twice as long. Can't believe I noticed that! This is a big day for me lmao
So basically ISTJs are Karens and Chads. Got it.
Lol! As an ISTJ I am deeply offended by this. 🤣
Me (an ENFP): Make this more vague!
Ok, I am definitely demon Se (would everybody just shut up, you're too loud! 😂)
The video thumbnail of this lady looks like a female version of my dad 😳 I'm pretty sure he's ISTJ, too...
So true ... but if the issue triggered our Fi, we'd be pushing the Te solution to be someone else's 100% priority, too ... lol
Could you please provide a step by step explanation as to why Kara Swisher is an ISTJ. The information provided wasn't clear enough! 😂😂🤣
I'm am ISTJ and even I laugh at this because its so true.
I bet you're great at understanding labels!
ISTJ: A person who is oblivious to satire or sarcasme until it becomes blatantly obvious that they are the but of the joke.
For an INTP-a(assertive) easy pickings, almost like shooting fish in a barrel.
She doesn't work for FB~~why would she be doing the work to make the changes? *confused*
You failed to add satire label after your sentence.
"The changes" implies that you would have to correctly guess what is satire and what is sincere. Or something.
Perhaps if she were saviour-N instead of demon-N, she would brain-vomit out some ideas and guesses as to how they should control the problem.
Perhaps she would also have more respect for individuals to learn to detect deep fake videos themselves, either through seeing error-patterns in the video, or being aware that the politician’s behaviour in the video doesn’t match with that politician’s established character/value system. aka. NeFi.
Her saviour-SiTe demands to be told via a label “THIS VIDEO IS FAKE”.
as a saviour-NeFi that label would make me watch the video to check whether the algorithm got it right 😂
omg this is sofa king complex ... is there a cheat sheet for all these initials? where to start!!!
Did you pre-plan that Uranus joke or was that a stroke of genius in the moment? Because that was pretty genius.
Haha, I’m called out now because I was just thinking this morning “They really need a better breakdown of the animals” I’m a Ne/Ti lol More details! Haha whoops
I was wondering, I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD and this got me thinking about whether or not ADHD would cluster around personality like autism does (if I remember correctly)
my first thought is that because people with ADHD are hyperactive it would be really easy to (mis)type them as play over sleep even when they might have sleep over play
basically, the question that I'm asking is,
what would a person with ADHD look like if they have play last?
I have a hypothesis but i'm curious to your input:
I think they would behave pretty "normal" and not super hyperactive the majority of the time apart of some ticks perhaps (think tapping fingers, walking for no reason, fidgeting...)
but when they're in a play state which will inevitably happen at some point they'd be unleashed and become super ADHD
however i kind of wonder whether or not a person like this even would be diagnosed with ADHD since the symptoms are only really clear at specific times even though it's always there
From a general guess, I would say that ADHD with play last would have problems holding a conversation and can only give or take orders instead sharing new information.
Going to launch a rocket up uranus 🤣
That ISTJ kinda frowns like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Can you guys type a female having masculine fe ni. Just curious what that looks like.

@@TheLategates oh well that's bleak

Right?!

Before this can be Authentically called:
"Objective," this is what your Test responses should *not* be:
"I always *felt* 'such & such' was their type.
Cool!

It would/should look *waaaay* more like this:
"Yeah?
Hm.
I'm not so sure about that.
Let's see whatchya got!"
That said, (& about this whole "Si 'Rules'" thing) if "the tribe" is gonna hold "the self" accountable & responsible for achieving certain goals, least "the tribe" should do, is set the fqn parameters clear, consistent, & straight.
It's a lot less hypocritical (& a lot more Respectful/Respectable & Success Driven) that way.
Oh yeah, and, clear rules allow for work/play balance.
Otherwise...
What's the fqn point of a "tribe?"

But here's the thing with rules and people.
They really don't know what their rules are...until someone breaks them
and they'll get mad
but the thing is they'll hold it in until they explode and then they'll forget about it during the next day >_>
And whole cycle repeats it self!
I have SiTi and so it pisses me off so much on a personal level and I'll be the only one that really remembers and actually follow the rules until I genuinely stop giving a shit.
What about my SiTi rules. Nope! Only me apparently! Again >_>
