      The brightest and smartest are not incentivized to stay. simple maths why are our customs fees higher than some countries actively at war? this is a drain on local businesses. Especially if you are starting small. You have to know someone to strive thats a problem. Why should we confine ourselves to that? Even now right here you are defending this. I wanted a truck liscence i had to fork out 100k for it or i will be failed? what kinda nonesense that? That was a serious set back to start my buisiness that was already an uphill battle. you hafi think outside a the scope of what you see bigman.
      Yea everywhere is corrupt but other places give you an easier time to get a foot hold and make something of yourself.

    The opportunities in Jamaica are very limited & cost of living is extremely high for the wages people get & a lot of the material things people want are unattainable for the average person plus if you have a family to take care of the pressure's higher to be able to help & provide for them. Skilled persons can have the opportunity to migrate to first world countries like UK or North America, live decently, grow their careers/live out their dreams, & also make enough to help family back home so most take the opportunity.

    This is probably the best interview (pts 1 - 4) you folks have done above all those on race, and health and various social topics with people speaking through their halos and beyond their professional knowledge. He speaks honestly, whether you agree with his statements, and does not pretend to have the answers to all that ails us. Good insights based on his lived and learned (professional and otherwise) experiences.

    True Dale

  • @lamartinezola8507
    @lamartinezola8507 Год назад +6

    (I put the truth in the last sentences)
    The problem is deeper than you think, let’s fast forward.... to capture or taking a population in captivity is easier than you think, but first things first. More than 90% of humans are stupid or just simple followers. They cannot think for themselves. Rarely do we think at all. We let others, the minority, think on our behalf, and that's why "highly smart people", or enemies, need to spot only a few key people in any society to overthrow their government, kill the key people, and then enslave the rest.
    It's a strategy that has been going on since the Romans. Rome enslaved the whole of Europe, + Northern Africa. They did not send millions of soldiers. They sent out a few agents(highly smart people) to spot key people in the society and then let the army of around 100 men do the job. Trust me it is easy.
    The same tactics were used by Portugal to enter and enslave the Kongo kingdom. They Christianized the king of Congo first, the king then pushed his people to become Christians, then the priests from Portugal abused the naivety of the Congo people. They tricked them by feeding them tales from the bible and then enslaved them by creating wars.
    "At the beginning, I said that to steal brains is easier than you think, I meant the West still does it today through the "US green card lottery program". We see it all the time on tv, migrants walking from South America to the US borders; this is what we call brain drain. It is a way of stealing brains. Don't be fooled by the debate between Republicans and Democrats. One party is against it, and the other is not. They both know and are aware that the US is underpopulated.
    Remember, 90% of people are stupid or just followers, and when just 2 percent of highly smart people from Jamaica managed to cross the borders into the US or England, it becomes a loss for Jamaica and a Win for England/US.

      Yes, depending on the credit ceiling of the credit card. All banks require a salary to allow you access to a credit card, you can get a credit card with a credit ceiling of 200,000.00 to 2 million. That is enough to buy either a used or new Mark X, depending of course which year you are looking for.

    Hmm some points are correct..but some some points are not as bad as described. I always ask this question..is Jamaica in 2024 worst off than it was in 2014? 2004? Etc...Every country has its capacity based on its market size. So like some other smaller markets Jamaica does not have the capacity to provide a certain lifestyle for a certain percentage of its population similar to how USA, Canada and other big markets can. We have achieved so much for a little nation..nuh mek the tings look so bad..nuf people a Jamaica a live better than some people a USA and Canada and England..i go see that for myself, so balance out the ting bro..Jamaica nicee❤❤

    Brain drain is a necessary process with regard to the preservation of the dynamics of global exploitation. This topic cannot be addressed without concerning ourselves with the global structure that keep small developing nations in a position of dependency and subsequently unable to make life better for the masses. There is no doubt that Caribbean politicians are corrupt to the core but we must ask ourselves two critical questions; number one, to what extent is this level of corruption a feature of the system as oppose to a glitch, this is important because it changes the focus from the politicians to the system within which they function. Number two, is corruption being used as a distortion of the actual cause of our historical set backs and current predicament. While corruption is allowing these turn coats, sell outs and thieves in suits to become extremely wealthy at the expense of the people they are also fulfilling a greater purpose by being a source of distraction from the real cause of the suffering of the people, which is a grossly imbalanced global capitalist system which is stratified into classes. Concerning the education system, it serves as a filter to separate and then extract what is deemed to be the brightest minds of our societies. If every mind and body that left the shores of these Caribbean islands in search of greener pastures had remained and engaged in struggle against the disillusion with the political, economic and social realities, the conditions for revolution would be a perpetual threat to the system. This is what I mean by brain drain being a necessary process of preserving the current power dynamics in which we remain the exploited. Instead of moving away, the youth and young people must start thinking and acting as revolutionaries.

      @glinkrecords Yes, money is needed, but it's not everything. It can't buy happiness, peace of mind, good physical and mental health, or the proper environmental conditions so that one can have a good quantity of life. Food, by itself, is the reason why many people are unhealthy. But hey, since I'm chatting rubbish, if you're not already here, then come on over to the land of milk and honey. If you are, then brace yourself for what is yet to come.
