For Schengen countries citizens, your Thai spouse must bring only a certificate that your marriage is registered in your country. It can also be a copy (not original). I usually fly to Italy so my Thai wife applies for Schengen Visa at the Italian VFS counter. It's processed in max three days. What bothers me is that she has to apply for it every time while to the USA she got a multiple entry visa that lasts ten years.

Many embassies sub the visa process to other embassies. For example Iceland does not have an embassy for visas here so we have to use Denmark. But it’s all good as the Schengen visa covers all EU countries 👍👍
