He was a descendant of Charlemagne, via his mother, an Italian contessa. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II as a spy and sabateur who hunted Nazis. He played Dracula, a James Bond Villain, Count Dooku, Saruman, Death, Lucifer, Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, Lord Summerisle, and numerous other iconic roles.
He received a knighthood. He is fluent in 9 languages. He attended University at Wellington College. He is a master fencer, opera singer, and golfer. He played in over 300 films, which is the most of any actor in recorded history.
He is the only member of the LOTR cast to have actually met Tolkien, which was a chance meeting in a pub. He witnessed the last public execution by guillotine in France. He nearly married into the Swedish royalty, with the King's blessing. He met the assassins of Rasputin.
When Peter Jackson told him to imagine the sound of a man being stabbed in the back, he replied that he didn't have to imagine it, and gave Jackson the correct sound. His first cousin is Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, who said he based Bond after Lee.
And he was the oldest person ever to be in a heavy metal band, and created an album about Charlemagne, as well as a Christmas themed album.
And he just happened to take up this little voice-over role for Rhapsody of Fire, a huge honor for them.

Thatis a completely new band to me. Sounds great. The intro was as if it was made for a movie. Then the flute and guitar and I thought of medieval vibes, but that changed quickly. would be interestee to hear more. What's next?
