These guys are amazing. I saw them live in Montreal the year before their Awesome Foursome DVD show. One of my favorite bands. Kai's vocals are so powerful. Long live Kai, Dirk, Henjo & Daniel!
Gamma Ray Created by Kai Hansen. A Power/Speedmetal band from Germany This song is from the Land off the free part 2 album from 2006 And the last song on the album. This album was the first album i bought from the Rays in 2006. I had read a interview about this album in a dutch Rock/Metal magazine called Aardschok. i was intriged about Gamma Ray already because i was heavily getting into Helloween. A band Kai had Co founded in 1984. This is a stellar album full packed with great songs. Some songs on this album are typical Heavy metal songs( Into the storm. Leaving Hell. Real world. and Rain) Some songs are straight up speed metal songs( From the ashes, Rising again/To mother earth and Rise) Some songs are more slower. Empress is one off them and Insurrection is their epic song from this record. The skeletons and Majesties Show is a very special show. its the first offical live dvd and double cd from the band since 2005. Also this would be the final Record with Dan "The machine"Zimmerman on drums. he opted to leave the band and to retire. due to having a little daughter and wanted to spend more time with her. Try Anywhere In The Galaxy, Wings Of Destiny. Dethrone Tyranny, Hold Your Ground, And the song Rise from this show if you want to see the band play real fast music.
Kai is a god of power metal! Great singer, but an even better songwriter! I heard his songs for over 35 years now and I´m still blown away by what he is capable of.
You guys should react to Dimash sometime. Maybe his version of Lara Fabian's Adagio, but really almost anything will do. It's hard to really pick wrong.

Ive been a fan of Kai Hansen for ages, I remember buying the first Helloween EP back in 1985 and was blown away.
While grunge was destroying music in the 90's Kai Hansen was almost single handedly saving the future of metal. Don't doubt it.
