Land of Lustrous is the GOAT. I recently went through my first emergency surgery, with general anesthetic. In that darkness, Phos was all I could think about. It gave me the strength to smile, and joke, and brighten up the day around me, no matter how scared and sad I was. I never expected a manga to make me a better person.

Land of the Lustrous is so damn goated. One of the best mangas of all time imo, if only Studio Orange would give us a second season. Never read Eden It's an Endless World but I had only heard good things and was planning on reading it eventually but maybe I might revoke that decision after hearing more about it. What a strange manga.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Soul Eater (mainly due to chapter 45 and how gross I thought it was) but there were some solid moments like Black Star's fight against that one sword dude and Medusa and Chrona's character. Loved both of them. I went into FF knowing the reveal at the end and I didn't enjoy it that much due to me not loving SE as much as others. I can see why people adore the ending though. I thought giving all the villains second chances and just writing them off and letting them live their lives without any kind of imprisonment or punishment was wack. Crazy to me that the star eyed dude who abused children, Inca who incinerated her friend for no reason and brought about the end of the world, and Haumea who was a fucking menace to humanity all got to walk away with what amounts to a slap on the wrist. I get they all 'died' but it still doesn't sit right with me.
I really feel like the series needs some trimming. At 305 chapters the series is quite the undertaking and it's a shame but a fair bit of it feels unnecessary. I really think if Okubo didn't include much fan service and got rid of Tamaki completely it would honestly be regarded a lot more positively. I'm really surprised you didn't mention the final Arthur vs Dragon fight. That shit was the most hype fight I've seen in a minute. Okubo was burning the entire kitchen with all that cooking. It fr is one of the best fights in manga imo. That and Shinra's ankle tattoos are dope as hell.
I'm interested to see your thoughts on other stuff like JJK, Record of Ragnarok, and Witch Watch when you get caught up on those. Also, how come you didn't read the rest of Mashle? It finished a little while ago and noticed your Anilist page has it so you only got 32 chapters left. I thought for sure you would've covered it in this video.

Final thing, you NEED to check out Kagurabachi, it's so damn good. I know people meme on it but it's actually a solid read and has been heat these past few chapters.
I had to look up chapter 45 of SE to remember what it was and yeah.... LOL.
When I alluded to the goated fights that made me care more about the characters yeah I was absolutely talking about the Arthur fight on the moon cause holy shit. Maybe the best fight he's ever drawn.
Honestly I haven't updated Anilist in over a year and idk if I will cause I don't really care about it and have too many ongoing series to be constantly updating 😭.
I never did finish Mashle cause I got really bored with it when Mash was absent for so long and honestly never cared to go back.

@@joelslibrary Honestly you weren't missing out on much with Mashle. The ending was kinda disappointing and the fight with the final boss wasn't all that great.
