Glad to see more exposure for SoR Remake, SoR4 came out recently and its amazing but i think every beat em' up fan should play SoR Remake, this game has so much content and customization options, plus more than a remake is basically an anthology of the first 3 games. I wish Sega would go back and made it something official with the help of the original makers.
Sor remake is really awesome game as everyone knows. I understood why Sega ordered the guys who made sor remake because of their copyrights. But in my opinion, it's really stupid decision.... This game is masterpiece.. The game includes all substance from sor1, sor2, sor3 and original characters (ninjo , Rudra etc). Characters, Systems, Routes all things. Sor4 is not bad game but I think Sor4's some of systems are really make me mad like super armor... and I wonder why sor4 characters have no dash and roll... If you haven't sor remake , I really recommend you should play this game!
I would gladly pay $20 if Streets of Rage Remake is to be released officially (with 4 player mode and online co-op) . Sega would have sold millions, if they actually hired Bomber Games and officially released the game. I mean they're not doing anything with the IP before Streets of Rage 4 anyways. The only reason why they took down Bomber Games' website, is because they are petty. Sega can't stand when somebody else makes a game with their IP, better then they do.
I grew up on the SOR trilogy man, those games were a HUGE part of my childhood and i love them to death, but i have to say, i think SORR is THE best beat em up of all time. It's everything that made the original games amazing and THEN some. The amount of playable characters, alternate routes, extras, etc really puts it over and beyond any beat em up out there. I really like SOR 4, but man SORR is still the game to beat.
Agreed, SoR4 has an awesome, and, very welcome, new gameplay style with the big emphasis on chaining combos, but SoRR is still THE definitive SoR experience. SoR4 just seems massively lacking in content in comparison to SoRR.

Remake was so much better than 4. There is so much heart put into it. SoR4 just seems like the standard update to an old series. It's not bad but nothing pushing me to play it again after beating it. Remake has so much stuff in and is highly replayable.
Yes, Remake the creator Bomber understood all 3 games as a whole at the same time adding tons of new fun material. SOR4 was like ok make like SOR2 with juggling call it a day.

The main problem with Streets Of Rage 4, while it's a perfectly solid game and all, is that despite how hard Sega clearly tried with it, it still is laughably inferior to Streets Of Rage Remake. SoRR is free, while SoR4 is severely lacking compared to it and it costs about $29.99. While I know it's always good to "support the official release", this instance just shows that like how Sonic Mania proves that the fans can do better, now, they should have got the team behind Remake to help make SoR4, or just officially licensed SoRR to BE SoR4, or just have SoR4 be done as a new update on Bombergames's engine, with the amount of Bombergames's content.

Remake é, sem sombra de dúvidas, o melhor jogo da série SOR. Escolha de ponto de ínicio, personagens secretos jogáveis, caprichados e exclusivos. Armas variadas. Caminhos variados. Trilha sonora melhorada (se é que isso é possivel). Veículos. Enfim, um must para os amantes de beat´n up.
O jogo pra PC tem melhor nível de detalhamento devido a maior variedade de cores, tanto simultâneas como disponíveis, o que é bem perceptível principalmente nos pavimentos dos cenários, muito mais elaborados que a versão do Genesis/MD. A melhoria também é vista nos planos de fundo e animações, ainda que não seja algo esmagador com palheta simultânea em 12, ou mesmo 15 bits de profundidade de cor como era o caso das máquinas CPS3 ou do Sega 32X. Pra quem é fã da série parece ser bem atraente, embora a versão do Mega Drive tenha sido um feito impressionante, dada as capacidades originais do console.
Sorr is an absolute labour of love. Its a masterpiece and I always want to play it when I see or think about it. Sor2 is the same for me. An absolute masterpiece and one of my fave games ever. I did really enjoy 4 but it doesn't compare to either of these. You play it through a couple of times then you're kind of done with it. These two have me wanting to pick up a controller whenever I see them.
I'd rather play the beautiful pixel art of the fan Remake over SoR4's hideous high def crap anytime. When the fans put in a better effort than the developers of 4, you know something is amiss. SoRR has much more replay value to it as well.

Am I the only one that strangely like 4, minus the troll update on stage 12? It can still use alot of work though, but I truly like how story focuses on entire team and no fan shipping Fanmake is cool and all, lot more people to choose from and attacks. Its a good fanmake, but it caters WAY too much to blaze and the shipping. 😣😒 Rip to Paul though, he made some awesome remixes.

Im a long-time fan of SOR and have some of the best childhood memories from this BA franchise. I bought one of them RG350M retro handhelds from China not long ago and noticed on the preinstalled games SORR!!! First I'd heard of it tbh and OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG :):):):) its like all of my dreams coming true all at once in a SOR alternative reality BIG BIG BIG THANKS to BOMBER GAMES and all who worked on this beautiful labor of love your time and dedication will be forever played on my cool little handheld Thanks again.... at this years that remake surpass by a lot the epic fail called sor4 sega should be less stupid, apologize and hire the bombergames guys so they improve their masterpiece, with even better smooth animations i am quite sure a lot of people would buy it if they do that
I kinda feel bad for Bomber Games not getting any credit whatsoever, instead all the credit goes to Dotemu. Even mainstream gaming journalists like IGN, Kotaku, Polygon praising Dotemu for "reviving the Streets of Rage franchise". We all know that's not true, Bomber Games revived Streets of Rage way before Dotemu.

I have had this game for years but I was never able to find a way to make it work at 1920x1080 resolution, the game only works 640x480 natively. Does anyone know how to fix this, I've tried several ways and nothing.
@@geraldogb the xbox version is the pc version, it just uses the files from the pc and has its own loader to make the game run on the system and has its own .cfg file to set the resolution. Look on my channel and you'll see I recorded the xbox and pc a few times and you'll see how the image is wider on xbox because of the resolution.
Street of Rage é um grande jogo, mas, você esqueceu de mencionar que as sequências de Final Fight vieram com o co-op. O Final Fight 3 para mim não deve nada a qualquer Street of Rage dando à série a evolução necessária além de músicas memoráveis. Para mim SR2 e FF3 são os melhores da geração junto com Turtles in Time.

I still like it and all, especially with the replay value, but it's way beyond a stretch to compare the original to a fangame that has a lot more stuff in it's arsenal. it's like doing a comparison video of the original Sonic 1 being compared to the fan hack Sonic 2 Heroes. I can see if it was the Arcade SOR2 being compared to this. This comparison is just off. And I know of the "research" behind it, I heard they were asking for money and Sega stepped in. It is Sega's IP after all. They can do that and there's not much we can do.

Los programaspres de aquellos tiempos decia que la genesis y la sega saturn no podian simular transparencia. Pero aqui se demuestra lo contrario. El remake goza de transparencia a todo color
SorR makes Sor 1-3 Obsolete. Not only does SorR have 60 Fps, Updated Graphics&Audio Quality. It also upscales the Tiny SOR1 Character Sprites so Sor1 Adam,axel&blaze aren't dwarfs in front of the bosses. The option to run/roll&super meter makes going through the Sor1-2 levels MUCH more fun. I don't understand the "No Running/Rolling" purists that defend Sor4 limiting character movement.. Cherry&Skate can run and they're not breaking the game, RIGHT? Why not let everyone run as well? Its a stupid idea to limit sprinting to one character IMO i grew up playing Castlevania SOTN, Cadillac&Dinosaurs and Megaman X. I'm used to zipping through 2d levels.
A pesar que han pasado muchos años, puedo decir sobre lo comentado en este video, que la decisión de que hubieran activos o sprites de otras compañías como la ametralladora y la bazuca (Capcom) en el juego, fue exclusiva responsabilidad de su programador Bomberlink, quien por razones de rencillas personales y autoritarismo, se negó a reemplazar y utilizar sprites nuevos de las armas, que le fueron ofrecidos gratuitamente por colaboradores; quedando los de Capcom en la versión definitiva. Es posible que esa decisión mezquina de su parte, fuese la causante del rechazo de Sega de oficializar el juego.
Nothing wrong with the original. But at least you can play it on PC. Wish they'd cut the extra add in stuff though. Just more waiting around waiting to play
Sega was not wrong to not make the remake official. All they've done is rework some of the background textures and redo the music with a modern synthesiser. I don't feel the remake is an improvement in sound, visuals or gameplay. I seem to remember they started to ask for money for the game which was the point at which Sega stepped in.

Streets of Rage 4 was pretty run of the mill and I barely play it now. I'm going to download Streets of Rage Remake: it looks way more fun.
SoR4 was a great addition to the series. I don't think it is run of the mill.

The extra details in the remake feel as though it's an arcade version and the MD/GNS game is a port. IMO anyway.
O jogo pra PC tem melhor nível de detalhamento devido a maior variedade de cores, tanto simultâneas como disponíveis, o que é bem perceptível principalmente nos pavimentos dos cenários, muito mais elaborados que a versão do Genesis/MD. A melhoria também é vista nos planos de fundo e animações, ainda que não seja algo esmagador com palheta simultânea em 12, ou mesmo 15 bits de profundidade de cor como era o caso das máquinas CPS3 ou do Sega 32X. Pra quem é fã da série parece ser bem atraente, embora a versão do Mega Drive tenha sido um feito impressionante, dada as capacidades originais do console.
Sorr is an absolute labour of love. Its a masterpiece and I always want to play it when I see or think about it. Sor2 is the same for me. An absolute masterpiece and one of my fave games ever. I did really enjoy 4 but it doesn't compare to either of these. You play it through a couple of times then you're kind of done with it. These two have me wanting to pick up a controller whenever I see them.

I'd rather play the beautiful pixel art of the fan Remake over SoR4's hideous high def crap anytime. When the fans put in a better effort than the developers of 4, you know something is amiss. SoRR has much more replay value to it as well.

Im a long-time fan of SOR and have some of the best childhood memories from this BA franchise. I bought one of them RG350M retro handhelds from China not long ago and noticed on the preinstalled games SORR!!! First I'd heard of it tbh and OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG :):):):) its like all of my dreams coming true all at once in a SOR alternative reality

I never did realize SORR has window reflections.
I have had this game for years but I was never able to find a way to make it work at 1920x1080 resolution, the game only works 640x480 natively. Does anyone know how to fix this, I've tried several ways and nothing.
That's just how the game was programmed. The only way to go higher is to get the xbox version and set the resolution to 720p from the games cfg file.

@@geraldogb the xbox version is the pc version, it just uses the files from the pc and has its own loader to make the game run on the system and has its own .cfg file to set the resolution. Look on my channel and you'll see I recorded the xbox and pc a few times and you'll see how the image is wider on xbox because of the resolution.
There's an update 5.2 now and it fully support fullscreen and widescreen so you can play it in 1920*1080.
Street of Rage é um grande jogo, mas, você esqueceu de mencionar que as sequências de Final Fight vieram com o co-op. O Final Fight 3 para mim não deve nada a qualquer Street of Rage dando à série a evolução necessária além de músicas memoráveis. Para mim SR2 e FF3 são os melhores da geração junto com Turtles in Time.

SorR makes Sor 1-3 Obsolete. Not only does SorR have 60 Fps, Updated Graphics&Audio Quality. It also upscales the Tiny SOR1 Character Sprites so Sor1 Adam,axel&blaze aren't dwarfs in front of the bosses. The option to run/roll&super meter makes going through the Sor1-2 levels MUCH more fun. I don't understand the "No Running/Rolling" purists that defend Sor4 limiting character movement.. Cherry&Skate can run and they're not breaking the game, RIGHT? Why not let everyone run as well? Its a stupid idea to limit sprinting to one character IMO i grew up playing Castlevania SOTN, Cadillac&Dinosaurs and Megaman X. I'm used to zipping through 2d levels.
SORR is a fantastic game, but don't you ever disrespect SOR1-3 by calling it obsolete.

A pesar que han pasado muchos años, puedo decir sobre lo comentado en este video, que la decisión de que hubieran activos o sprites de otras compañías como la ametralladora y la bazuca (Capcom) en el juego, fue exclusiva responsabilidad de su programador Bomberlink, quien por razones de rencillas personales y autoritarismo, se negó a reemplazar y utilizar sprites nuevos de las armas, que le fueron ofrecidos gratuitamente por colaboradores; quedando los de Capcom en la versión definitiva. Es posible que esa decisión mezquina de su parte, fuese la causante del rechazo de Sega de oficializar el juego.
