I agree: I've been listening to Brand X for over 40 years and they still sound fresh and heroic, still get my blood a-pumpin' so many years later. Drives me crazy how few people, how few Musicians are unfamiliar with them. Got to see them twice live, once with Phil Collins. Certainly the most energetic material he's ever been a part of! And this drummer is no slouch! Everyone in this band is amazing! RIP John Goodall!

First heard them around the age of 16 back in 1977-ish when my older brother gave me Livestock on tape. When I first listened to it, I didn't understand it, and I just stashed it away because to my underdeveloped ears, It was like music from another planet. A few years later I decided to give it another whirl and WOW! I was hooked. In the 80's I had all of their vinyl, most all of which I bout in England when I was stationed there.

They still killed it! I liked them more than McLaughlin . It was the first time I ever saw a bass player with a rack . I never got to see Weather Report with Jaco ,but I’ve seen Jean Luc Ponty with Ralph Armstrong fret less masters ! And you can definitely add Percy Jones to that list !
