I'm all for the humane treatment of long drives, so I applaud this guy's approach to doing what is humanely possible in his area. We need more people like that in the long drive world. Think of the children.
This is awesome. This is the future for long drive and tournament golf. You know Jimmy Ballard told me over 35 years ago that golfers were athletes. Back then nobody was doing anything but smoking and drinking. But Jimmy was right. What a big difference in the 35 years. Training is serious and specific just like any other sport. I love it. Bring It On.

Wow I have never red so many jealous comments made towards a guy who enjoys his own life style that most envy! Different folk, differents strokes I say! My longest drive/s are 250 in which I am happy with, if it is still in the fairway! Ha ha! Am 66 years of age and play golf every day (weather permitting) Now I bet most of you out there wish you could play every day! So please don't be jealous of others life style, just be content what you have and what you can achieve out of your own life style, and enjoy what you have! I wish you all the best in your own golfing day's!
Harry Flower 3 time masters champ by 2030. Fair play to him for giving everyone else a chance before he stops sandbagging. The number 1 pokerface in golf history.
I had 3 lessons with Lee .... hands down the best lessons I’ve ever had, I couldn’t hit a drive further than 200 yards after 3 hours consistently hitting 260 but most importantly 95% down the fairway .... if only improvement in the rest of the game was that easy 😭😭🙄
I love how people now just do flexibility drills and stupid light weight complex workouts that don’t make you stronger and ultimately don’t make you hit it any farther, but people like him, tiger and Rory brought it back and that might be because like him, they were all taught the basics, the stronger you are, the faster your club head speed, and I like that he is doing that so props to him!
Its crazy that the head of the driver almost hits his waist on his backswing. Most golfers end the backswing with the shaft parallel to the ground and he’s rotating all the way back to 90 degrees from the ground. That usually results in a massive slice UNLESS you can whip your shoulders round as quickly as your hips are coming around and meeting square at the point of contact....but either way, the length of these long drive guys’ backswings are insane.
Wonder how much his equipment adds to his speed and yardage. I may be wrong on this but from my understanding all regulation style equipment maxes out. A regulation driver and ball can only hit a maximum of 320 yards. So what is he using to get those distances? A special ball and a 1degree, extra stiff, extra long driver? I’d like to see a video on the differences of him using regular everyday clubs and ball vs his special built equipment.
It's good to see someone training for size and strength but not with steroids for looks or getting massively fat like power lifters. Just a good old fashioned monster of a man.
As far as I'm aware he plays off around a 2 handicap and that's without training his whole game, pretty impressive but suppose it helps when you're hitting wedges into greens on par 5's haha
I got paired up on a tee time with this one moron. While waiting on the first tee, the group in front of us was ~300 yards out. He told me I should hit first because he averages 325 yards and will probably hit them. I didn't believe him, but I still went up there and put one 280 dead center of the fairway (just an ease into it swing because the first shot is always the worst for me). This guy gets up and waits a few seconds for the group to get into their carts and drive off. He takes about 4 practice swings (all of which almost left a divot) and finally takes his shot. His ball is teed up using a long drive tee barely poked in, so he could stack 2 driver heads and still not reach it. He drives his club into the ground and takes the tee, not the ball. He re-tees and puts the ball lower. Still drives his club into the ground, but makes contact with the ball and skies it. During the rest of the round he keeps on talking about how he's having an off day, topping his longest drive out at a whopping 165 yards. Final scores for that round are a 95 for me (by no means a great golfer, just a fairly strong 15 year old with a good driver) and a 137 for him (with mulligans, none for me)... Sorry for the essay, but it fit well with this comment...
+Ryan Corsaut Alright then, want to join me for a round? EDIT: Just because I'm 15, doesn't mean I can't hit it that far... If I said I was 7, then you can be skeptical about that, but hitting a ball far is about contact, technique, and flexibility. You need to be able to turn your hips and turn your wrists on your way down, while coming up to the ball. Almost all 15 year olds should be able to do that with a little practice, not saying contact will be perfect, but the form of the swing should be fairly decent and contact just comes with time...
It’s the story of the golfing Gorilla, guy bets a golfer he can’t beat his Gorilla and the golfer takes the bet, the Gorilla hits it a mile and drives the green, the golfer gives up pays the guy the money and asks. “How does he put?” Guy answers, “Ah, pretty much like he puts.” It’s a cheesy joke but it’s really the same thing.
It is cool the ability these guys have to crush balls. However its completely specialized sport and what they do, pros don't swing like the long drive guys do, because they are trying to do different things. But like Maddox, Glavine and Smoltz said "Chicks dig the long balls"
He's about a +2 handicapper. How about you? Also, what is your max club head speed? Unless you are a scratch golfer and swing faster than at least 140mph then you should just keep your trap shut.

JimboSRP was wondering if anyone else picked up on that as well...lol
JimboSRP who care
people
If he's such a good driver why is he driving on the wrong side of the road
I like that
Played with a long drive guy, and his handicap was 15-18. He could hit it 450 yards, but 3 fairways over XD
I really hope this is sarcasm
He is British
Has to be a dad

It is not really a niche anymore.
@MrJre4491 no it is isn't... sorry mate. Better luck next time
I want to see him skull a sandwedge.
225 yards minimum on a skully sandwedge

Drive for show putt for dough
I mean I don't really think he is hurting on dough while putting on quite the show
little different when your driving is the show people are paying to see isn't it?
Tell that to Dustin Johnson who quite literally won the first leg of the FedEx playoffs with a drive over a fuckin lake in a playoff to win.
lol
Not in a long drive competition...? He isn't a pro golfer!
'I think you're seeing what is close to HUMANELY possible' looool
Got his glove which he got the world record with!!
He was just been eliminated in the quarter finals of long golf championship 2019.

You’re gonna need sun tan and lotion cause your not gettin’ out that sand!
ya jack ass
Him when he gets a 392 I’ll take it I guess me when I get a 180 drive ohhhhhhhh
i never realised there was such a beast as a 1 degree driver, incredible power he puts into these drives!

I’m 2 and a half I drive it 500 is that ok
Nobody beats my internet driving distances. My shots can escape black holes' event horizons.
You probably just accidentally put 500 instead of 50 cuz no 2 year old can drive it 500 yards
No 2 year old can drive even 50

Good on yer Joe, great to have a Brit and a nice guy as world champ. Long may you reign!
Nice chip shot club twirl on the driving range, money!
Guy at 6:17 in the background is like holy shit
150 mph club head speed is with a 48 inch driver. The 125 mph is with a 44 or 45 inch driver. Both badass !
My longest drive was in Arizona at 345... haven’t really been able to get past 305 since. Gotta hit them weights!
It’s Not how you drive, it’s how you arrive !!!!
He arrived at the 474y mark in 1. How many did you take to get there?
