Thank you for the kind words about Fortress of the Warlord! Writing and laying that monster out was a true labor of love.
You my friend are glorious love your work
Thanks again Rob! Hope the workload wasn't too taxing 😁 I've just started Dark Waters and Three Rings with my 2 parties, loving it so far! Got Man-Eater and The Abyss on the way too.
nice!!!
Great video Rob, a nice top ten, and these will go on my to get list, thanks. Four Against The Darkness, is Cheap, Cheerful and most of all Fun, glad you introduced it to me... 🏋🏼♂️😉
thank you!
Sorry I’m a little late to this video. Just want to highly recommend 4 Against the Titans (Greek mythology theme) and especially 4 Against the Great Old Ones (Lovcraftian). Both really left me with a feeling that I - well my party - “survived” an actual storied adventure. As I write this I am thinking about my characters and the challenges they had and… for instance in FATGOO one of my characters died and the party had to find someone else to join them, meanwhile they had to fine enough clues to solve the mystery and the clock is ticking (days are going by) and they have to get to the right city… it… was… GREAT!
All are glorious!
Thanks Rob, picked up 4AD last month based on your content and suggestions, will look into these as well.
Your welcome
Great timing. Just picked this up and played for the first time on Thursday. Enjoyed this game because of the quick set up time. Set up time is a deterrent for me with kids at home.
Very cool
Great selection. My personal must haves are 4AD, FATA, Overland Adventures, Fiendish Foes and A Crucible of Classic Critters. I generally use The Book of Random Tables #4 for story hooks.
Ok
Thanks for this list!
No problem more to come this week
I was JUST thinking I need to get 4AD back out on my table. Great video, thanks Rob. Your month should be all freed up with the Seahawks sitting at home with their families :P
And so should yours with no viewers on your channel
@@seahawk8601 :D I'm a huge fan, Rob. You're a legend.
Thanks for reminders, i was going to get into this and going to order some starter stuff from them during christmas when i was trying to take some time off working but then i couldnt decide if i was going to get into D100 system and world builder book as i found all of the vids you and DungeonDive and Geek Gamers covered D100 sets and i liked it even more.
So i havent bought any of anything as i only have a limited funds to invest into one system.
Just havent decided. Probably going to go with D100 as the new additions just seem to make it more larger world generator and can switch up and make a dungeon as ya go.
Nice
I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Waters - great into for a beginner to 4AD
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have most of this but will also recommend Ravager of Ruins cause it helps you build a ruined city that can be used with other systems.
Cool
Hey Rob, I found out about these print on demand games through you and really like how you have them bound and presented. Would you ever consider showing how you spiral bind them. I've looked into it and can only seem to fined expensive machines that do it. Great video. Thanks!
yes the machines cost me a lot but it was worth it
You can print it yourself at home then take the printed copy to a print company and they will spiral-bound it for you for a small fee instead of going out and buying the machine on your own
I print mine in Booklet form (8.5" tall X 5.5" wide), then saddlestitch the booklet together. VERY easy to do and they come out looking great. I use a clear stick on laminate for the front cover. You can buy a roll of the laminate at Walmart (It's meant for inside kitchen cabinet bottoms.)
Hi Rob was curious, what is the replay value with all these expansions. I assume once you play them you learn all the surprises etc, that being said once you pla them can you run them again and still get that initial ezcitement?
Some you can run over and over then there are some that once you play them you get the heart of the matter
Have you tried any of the 4AD dungeon decks? Just wondering if those are worth getting.
I seen a guy here on youtube play a sandbox game solo using 4AD core book within his own created world. Blew me away.
No I have not
I'll bet Rob goes through a ton of printer ink lol
Nope
Welp you sold me on it! Thank you!
Glad I could help!
