I'm having the same problem with my 2009 mazda 6. The front right turn signal failed and welded itself inside the connector. I have to break the bulb in the peices and scrape it out. Now the contacts are bent and corroded. I might be able to find a replacement for it but I need something right away for work. ( I drive for a living). So I'm going to bend the contacts out so there's a good connections and the bulb feels tight and slather some dielectric grease on it.

My turn signal isn't even working... with new bulbs and it's my daytime running lights that are blinking for my turn signals. I'm so confused. I had crap after market headlights when I purchased the car and got stock. And this is the problem I have.

I bought a new socket holder but I'm having trouble getting it to go back in properly and when i finnaly do it still won't work. The rear light still blinks fast but the front does nothing. Is there a certain way it's supposed to go back in? Was really hoping this video was going to show how you reinstalled it. I feel dumb because I'm sure it's quite simple. I spent nearly more time trying to figure this out than replacing the starter in the same car smh.

It sounds like you are doing everything right, but it’s hard to know what’s wrong when I can’t examine it. Don’t give up. Good luck

Did you ever figure this out? I am currently having the same issue. Bought a brand new bulb socket, I put it in and the blinker still doesn’t work. I even tried swapping out the old socket from the other side, and when I did that, the blinker worked again. But when I put the brand new socket on either side, no luck.
