"On a typical road car", shows an AMG C63 S.
Yes a very typical road car, everyone has those

So at this point Mercedes is so Dominant and they are so bored with their Dominace they teach the other Teams how to build a car.
This has been said on every other video so just stfu
@@menno763 Why should that change his opinion?
@@menno763 they are dominant and the way these Videos are presented i shoud be taken with a grain of salt. Im not saying that it is bad how they present it. It just Shows how dominant they really are.
If they are Fast on Track ahead of everybody with RND and they still have Time to produce this Videos and Explaine everything. That is for me TRUE Dominance.
@@Erich8101 They have 1,700 employees, that makes them so dominant. Because factories, machinery and materials are all regulated by the FIA, one of the things that are limitless in development is staff. In comparison, Red Bull Racing has "only" 600 employees. I know that only a handful of them are actual engineers, but my point is that Mercedes have more.
Those comparisons are not accurate as you’re mixing engine and chassis teams. Our chassis team in Brackley is very similar in size to the two companies in Milton Keynes (Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology). To compare with our engine team, you would need to add the number working at Honda!
mercedes: here’s how our brakes work
racing point: write that down
Lmfao dude that actually made me laugh after a tough past 3 days, Thank you!!
Funny how this popped up on my feed after Hamilton's lock-up in Baku earlier today. 🤣
Next up is the magic button video
@@xberx182🤣🤣🤣 can't wait for that one!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was just thinking the same 😀
You could say it popped up like magic...
Mercedes needs competition so desperately they be teaching everyone else how to build a decent car! 🤣🤣
Yes as if the other teams didn't know the basics they showed here.. very smart 👏👏

I really like the videos that explain how everything works:D please continue making them.
@Johannes Hoha I don't think no other f1 team explains there manufacturing developments the way Mercedes do
@Jonathan Prasad P7 lol
Makes me appreciate the drivers effort a lot more.
Agree, but without the annoying background music.

When the owners of the sport have such a tight hold on the TV rights that even the teams have to use video game/ simulator footage..
At first I didn't even realize it was video game footage, it looks good! What game was it?
Spetsop f1 2019. It is a very pretty looking game tbh.
@@vatz8341 Thank you, I'll have to check it out!
Well, if you use TV footage, you might not get exactly what you want to show. Drivers get 1 shot to get a corner perfect, so a mistake might not work well for their demonstration. In a game, you can take the same corner multiple times with no issues and you can run the track solo. In the race, drivers also take different lines or brake at different points to conserve tires or fuel or to shorten their lap times. A simulation game is a controlled environment
@@vatz8341 *f1 2018
i have to admit, props for mercedes to upload these videos with obviously extremely experienced people explaining all these little details.
Teaching rest of the grid how to build a car. Take notes williams.
I think Williams are master in breaking system since how slow they are comparing to other teams...
None of what they show here is information you couldn't find before. It's the secrets that makes them fast.

With so many subtle elements to take into account, it's got to be the greatest feeling when everything works together to get on the podium. Much respect to the engineers!

Really enjoyed this video, lots of information. This is the kind of stuff that F1 teams need to share with fans.
Iv'e been watching F1 for many years, and because of your efforts I'm starting to understand how complex this sport really is. Thanks for the video, and please do more. Cheers.
How about a vid on how to achieve maximum grip in low-speed corners? I'm asking for a F ...riend.
dont forget to send that vid to ferrari lol
how about a vid on how to achieve more speed on straights? asking for a L...oyal H....appy M... ate not being able to overtake with DRS open.

Might want to update this video and add the crucial information about turning off the "magic" button before applying brakes.
This is a great series. Thank you for showing us the engineering science in these incredible machines.
3:52 that 1 second clip was totally worth it
Excellent as always.
Could we see more into the small variations in how the drivers like the car to be set up, how the engineers react to on track feedback?
Excellent description and explanation of the brakes on a Formula One car.
So Clear and Common Sense explanation.
Mr. Elliot guides us through a path that everything comes together in an almost Intuitive Understanding.
Man that intro is so great even tho its just a couple of seconds.. The videos are also so great for being somewhat short
What a great way of explanation and glad to know this here... Thanks for the Engineer and Merc team.
I love these technical videos. I'll never get my hands on any of it but it's cool to see, learn and have someone explain it.
Such good ability to explain the important stuff, the way he surfs with the lexic he uses, and not reading any of that. Good stuff Mike!
WOW Mike. Intelligent easy to understand commentary. Felt like a conversation. 1st place podium for you. More more more!
I have been watching these videos from Mercedes for a while and now I have to salute you and wish for more.
Great video. Love hearing how cars are designed.
When I race online on iRacing I usually set my balance to %56F/%44R This helps my rotation thru the corners...some circuits it needs to be as high as %60F/%40R. Great insight Mercedes. I really enjoy these videos!
Great Video, it's awesome to see how the Car works, very inspiring. Please make more!😁👍
Well done Mercedes, thank you for posting
I just love this team and this transparency

Me encanta como explicais la mecánica de los F1,una buena iniciativa. Enhorabuena por la pole
You guys ROCK. Each and every it of content you put is EPIC for any F1 fan...great job. Clearly, Mercedes is on an entirely different level than anybody else in F1, in ALL aspects.
Just what I needed after this day to make it a bit better. Formula video + listening to the music I like (Delta Parole, Metallica and other) make me feel the speed and excitement!
This was a great explanation of the racing point brake system
Great talk by this man, very clear, thank you
Please keep making more and more videos and in also detail. I love your videos. Explain some more about them like the engine, aerodynamics and many more. I just love them.😍😍😍
Great video, amazing as an F1 fan to really see within their car
That was utterly fascinating! Fantastic presentation. 👍🏾

Anyone here after Hamilton YEETED himself into the run-off at T1 in Baku?!
#MercedesAMGF1...your videos are awesome! Keep up the great educational videos. It only goes to enhance the appeal of Formula 1. A lot of other teams, especially a top team brand such as Ferrari, can learn from this approach to engage spectators of F1. Thanks and keep it up!

I am going to install ERS and F1 braking balance system into my minivan. Hope the aerodynamics will help me though 👍
Do you have a minivan?
the details in those upright/brake duct! damn...
i have an uncle that once had an ARO 243. I felt in that mirobolant car what means "huge effort for driver" when he wants to stop the car. Also, turning left or right, involved huge muscles! What wonderful memories!
Big fan guys good luck in France
Awesome. Thank you for sharing!!
1.04 no servo- assist. This was a revelation. I didn't realize that the drivers have to work the brakes manually. No wonder they spend so much time in the gym on the leg-press machine. Excellent video. I love the illustrations. More please.

Although I don’t understand all the technical issue you are saying. But I like the video...please keep it up and will definitely follow
Very good. Thanks
Mercedes is not scared to share information because they know it’s their driver , Hammie , that does the magic !
Well it's not really information, every team knows that. The real secrets is in the small details and they aren't gonna show that.
That's why their showing last years car cause this year's car has new improvements and if they show the current car other teams will copy. That's why you saw Max having a look at Hamilton's car after the race to see if he could spot any improvements for Redbull to make to their car and try and get the pace Mercedes has.

Great stuff. Can you please explain how cameras and live feed from the cars works? So many cars streaming HD (if not higher res) at the same time in real time is quite an achievement in an environment with such a massive congestion!
