      The last few years for Ferrari have been an excellent step by step guide of what not to do. Mercedes has made some mistakes this year, but they minimize the damage better. With Ferrari, one problem and the whole thing falls apart.

    • @1barnet1
      @1barnet1 5 лет назад +8

      Only scratches the surface.
      To keep it understandable for the majority of viewers and Williams engineers.
      They didn't go into camber toe in toe out and how the suspension changes those values depending on the centrifugal forces.
      Example. Camber is how much the tyres are tilted. Want them flat when braking and accelerating in a straight line.
      But when the car tilts in a corner you lose surface area. So for high corner speeds you'd want the outer tyre flat on the tarmac despite the roll and remain full contact with a potentially bumpy track.
      You see this can't all be achieved without active suspension which is banned by the rules.
      So they have to be (and are) very clever in making a mechanical suspension which adepts depending on load. And fine tune it for every specific track.
      Now how they do it? That goes way over my head as well.

Pure dedication and commitment to achieving one goal, an elite rancing car which is faster than the competition. It's outstanding when you consider that they have only just returned to F1 after decades of non participation. Domination is not good for any sport, but sometimes you just have to accept that they are worthy champions and as fans not demand another team has to be champion just for the sake of it. So informative. This was very well done. The difference is Mercedes runs their team as precisely as they build their cars. Do a video on how to get out of Q1, that will help the other guys.

    What makes Formula one even more fun. When they take out there tech and put it in a road car. Presenting the A45 AMG W176 aka the first AMG i can actually buy, maintain and drive. That engine is straight up tech from Formula One

    What an excellent video with the CAD animation, car shots and plenty of superb education information that you have provided us fans.
    Autosport and that joker JBL couldn't achieve this quality of video in a million years.
    Cheers M-AMG P M

    Just a quick question, what are those triangular pieces of glass in the front of the cockpit, and what do they do? 1:01

    This is a fantastic series. Thank you so much for posting it. I was thinking... I drive a 'Mercedes', but it couldn't be more different, and more primitive. It is actually a Brazilian Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 (Bandeirante) With a Mercedes-Benz OM 364-LA Turbodiesel engine, originally intended for the MB-914 truck. Here is the 'primitive' part; my suspension is leaf spring with two rigid axles, and PU shackles.
