@@SSNFang because sonic jam's speed is the original, also the team who upscaled these cutscenes remastered a bunch of old films including that anime Mario movie from the 80's so they clearly know what they're doing
@@eliel_360The Jam speed up was done so they could cram both the good and bad ending scenes into one, it's sped up here for no goddamn reason. The team behind the remaster only remastered the film itself, the editing was clearly done in-house at a SEGA studio, which is why it sucks so much. Go back and watch the original Mega CD ending and you'll see how well synced it's supposed to be, how the music has a slow start and doesn't just shittily fade in like it does here.

@@eliel_360 i mean, these cutscenes were *LITERALLY MADE VERY EARLY IN THE GAME'S DEVELOPMENT* before Tidal Tempest Zone was developed

Slow down to 0.75 for the original framerate
believe it or not, this IS the original framerate
@@eliel_360 yup
@@eliel_360 All they did was speed it up to the speed used in Sonic Jam's version of this scene.

I hate that they completely ruined the timing of the music in this version, its supposed to take a while to start
Didn't that also happen in Sonic Jam & Sonic Mega Collection?
The speed here is how it was originally animated but they made the animation with the intent of slowing it down
1:31 You're too cool!
0:42 HANG ON! I don't remember this zone .-.
R2
Dubious Depths (R2)
Its a zone that did not make it to the final game
In the game files there are sprites for the enemy in this animation and for an unused eggman boss
They always looked like city ruins to me like in the sonic OVA.
Where is Never Lake located ?
