Im in Maryland, with cold weather , and watching your Mendoza blog is pure torture- it looks beautiful.
Haha I guess it’s your sign to book a flight!! I’ve been in Maryland in the winter, and know how cold it gets. I don’t envy you!! :)
Meet you in Mendoza but laughing at Maryland being cold. 50 degrees in Md and 5 degrees here in Alaska.
@@jimjensen9139 haha ok ok, compared to Alaska, every place is warm 😅
It goes from 45 c to -10 c between summer and winter, visit in spring, its nicer then
I really like Mendoza, one of the safest and cleanest cities in Argentina !! Amazing content, keep it up !!💪
Hi Andres, thank you so much. I also really enjoyed it. It was so quiet and peaceful!
I was there 4 years ago for a month and a half, now I am moving there in January! Nice video.
That's fantastic. Have the best time ever! :)
Bienvenido!!!
Did you move? and if so how is it?
Thank you for your comments on Mendoza! I liked the city after your tour!
Aww thank you so much! :)
Been years since I've been to Mendoza. Loved it what I remember of it. I know we stayed at a vineyard for the week there at family. Just can't remember who ;)
Oh staying an entire week at a vineyard sounds divine!
Amazing episode in Mendoza, the next time you must visit the wineries, cheers
Thanks Axel! I actually did visit several wineries but very disappointingly, my camera died so I could not complete the video. So all you'll get to see of my wine touring are the clips at the end of this video!
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff Ok, I'm so sorry about your camera, I hope you can get another one
@@axelpap4613 Thank you! I've had very bad luck with phones recently! haha But once I got back home, it started working again. So unfortunately I just wasn't able to film the wineries.
Mendoza seems super chill! An excellent alternative to the prices in BA. Nice one, Ms. Nicki.
Yesss it's super chill! I could definitely see myself possibly living there!
I hope you'll do a second video with the wineries, perhaps another one with the excursions you might do to Aconcagua National Park, Potrerillos, Uspallata, Villavicencio.
I left Bodega Lopez with five bottles of winein my backpack, and then visited Bodega Giol, and did another wine tasting. The museum of Wine was just across the street, but closed for a private event. I enjoyed it, even with the extra weight I carried, LOL.
Hi Myriam! Funny you mention it. I did actually START filming a wine video, but after 15 minutes, my camera just died and I couldn't turn it back on. It was extremely frustrating, and I wasn't able to get footage the rest of the day. So very sadly, there will be no full wine video about Mendoza. But I'm glad you got a ton of good stuff! :)
Very informative and nicely done. None of the narcissism of so many travel vlogs. Thank you.
I so agree with this 100%
Great video about mendoza!,,definitely will put that on the list of must see when I get back to Argentina
Yes definitely do!! It’s a nice change of pace from BA!
Nicki, you covered everything very well. Thumbs up! This includes the comparison between Buenos Aires and Mendoza regarding spending and renting. Having you do this work is greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your continued support, Freedom! :)
Well done! I have shared your video to friends visiting there. Thanks!
We're starting to plan our trip to Argentina (likely Igazu > BA > Mendoza), and wanted to say you've done a great job with this video! Looking forward to your other content!
Thank you so much, Scott! Enjoy Argentina! :)
Great video! Thanks so much for the tips!
I just love your video’s!! Please always keep sharing your adventures!
Awwww thank you so much, Mara!! :)
Very informative material
I plan to get my residency in Argentina and I find your videos helpful and very informative! Thank you!
Oh fantastic!! I’m so happy to hear that! ❤️
I concur with you 100%. Loved BA but Mendoza is the place where I would like to live.
Yes!! There is something really special about it!
You are a fantastic teller of travel tidbits. I've been traveling for dozens of years well before the internet and cell phones. And your content is to the point, easy to decipher, with great pics and info...kinda like the ole' Lonely Planet bibles we use to walk around with. And to boot you always do it with a nice smile. I am currently in Mendoza and LOVE it here . . . it may well be my new escape home from northern Wisconsin winters here on out. Thanks again for your great channel.
Thank you so much, Dojoro! :) I also started traveling before RUclips and Instagram existed, so maybe subconsciously I'm just telling people the information I would have wanted in the Lonely Planet days! Mendoza is definitely an incredible place, I hope you'll continue to enjoy it! :)
Thanks I am so excited to visit MDZ in 3 days. Great video 📹👍🤗💜
Fantastic, I hope you’ll enjoy it!! :)
Wow. That looks awesome. Yes you convinced me Mendoza looks more my style than BA.
Oh great, happy to hear that. It is definitely more my style as well. I hope you enjoy it!! :)
Nice job Nicki ... a lot of great info and you look very natural in front of the camera.
Thank you so much, David! What a nice compliment! ❤️
What a beautiful video Nicki, so well documented. All my support from a mendocino living in Belgium :)
Thank you so much, Leandro! :)
Thank u for ur kind and detailed explanation of the Mendosa.
I will keep to visit ur channel
I am from S.Korea and I have a plan to visit Mendosa soon.
Thank u
Nice video..
Hola Nicki ! Greetings from Vancouver Canada ! I'll be vacationing in BA soon and so glad I found your channel.. its very informative. Keep up the great work. All the very best !
Thank you so much, Ravi! Enjoy your trip! :)
Just like all of your other content.......fantastic!!! My Redhead and I will be checking out Mendoza and Salta for three week in May. My guess is we will end up choosing Mendoza as our next home. But.......ya veremos. Gracias por todo, estaremos en contacto.
Thanks for watching, Jimmy! So glad it was helpful! :) I hope you’ll love everywhere you visit in Argentina, it has so much to offer.
Great video
Will definitely be paying a visit
Thank you so much for watching! It is certainly worth a visit! :)
I've always loved Travel Show's, have seen them all
Your's is by far the best, great real time tips, which I'll definitely put to use.
Much appreciated
Keep it up
Buena, Nicki
Gracias, Osvaldo! :)
I'm definitely going to visit Mendoza in the near future to see a dragon fossile !!! 😍👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💕💞
Have a great time!! :)
Thank you !! Lol 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇦🇷💕💞
Wow! You really meant it, when you said IF you'd come back, you'd live in Mendoza? Just because of the affordability situation?! Or because BA is too big / other reasons? Great Video, keep going!!!!
I really do mean it. BA is so big and so hectic, that it's just not for me anymore. Lot's of people love it though, it's just that I personally want less noise and chaos. For me Mendoza had that perfect balance. Calm but still city conveniences.
Great video! Any plans to visit any other cities in Cuyo like San Juan??
Unfortunately I don’t have time this time around!

Aw thanks, welcome! :)
Hi Nicki, great video. How is the internet in Mendoza? I need to be connected for work but would enjoy spending some time in Mendoza as long as the connection is good. Thanks!
No issues!! :)
I appreciate your videos, and can you please make a video that compares/contrasts Mendoza, Cordoba, and BA? You say you prefer Mendoza but I'm still unclear as to why. Thank you!
I was actually planning to do just that. You can expect it within the next few months! :)
En central park en New York hay una estatua de San Martin
No lo sabía, gracias!
Desde la plaza España tomaba mi colectivo para regresar a mi casa
We want to go spend a few months in Mendoza, as a possible retirement city. We will. likely stay downtown in the middle of everything, but as far as long term, we are wondering about the countryside. Seems like in Cordoba, people go to the Sierras to live. Does Mendoza have some nice areas in the countryside that we may want to check out ?....hopefully close to a bus route and not too too far from the city....??? Thanks !
We are going to Mendoza in a week and are renting bikes. When you went on a bike, did you make reservations at the wineries or did you just show up? We heard that you have to make reservations. Any info you can give is most appreciated!
What was the weather like? How was nightlife?
During the two weeks I was there (first two weeks of November) the weather was really nice. Definitely spring vibes and at the end, it was summer hot. Although there were about 4 days in the middle when it was quite cold and rainy.
Los trenes rojos fueron traídos de San Diego Ca , si miras veras que ni los pintaron .
Mira vos! Que interesante, no lo sabía!
Hi Nicki. Do you have any videos in Rosario, Argentina?
I’m sorry, I don’t!
Nicki, I am traveling in Argentina right now. I was in BA for 3 days, and I have now been in Bariloche for 2 days. I can not find a SUBE card anywhere. I have asked at almost 20 kioskos and all of them say "no tengo"! Where on earth do you find them?
Jennifer, I am SO SORRY! I heard that several months ago in BA they were really hard to find, but I thought that was over now. I'm surprised you haven't been able to find one in Bariloche. That is super frustrating. Have you managed to find one now? Message me on IG, I'll see if I can help. @nickipostsstuff
Hey Nikki! Is Mendoza a pedestrian friendly town? Would I need a car to get my basic needs met there?
Thanks!!
Hey Erin- Absolutely! It's very easy to walk around in. It's also quite easy to take the bus, or train to Maipu. You don't need a car. The only thing a car would be great for, is to go hiking outside of the city. But within the city itself, you'll have no issues. I walked everywhere there. Took the bus to Cacheuta thermal baths, and the train to Maipu for wine tastings.
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff TYSM!
@@eringiesler6485 You're so welcome! :)
Are you still in Mendoza? I’m going there from Canada and I’d love to connect and hanging out. I love making friends :)
Maybe you can post some menus on your insta, but probably they don't have any prices on those 'cause of inflation :-p
I can post some menus on insta stories, but prices change so fast. I'm not sure that they'll be the same in two months from now.
So there's nowhere to eat on Sunday with everything closed? Or is it just the popular places that are closed on Sunday? What options are there for tourists who are unable to cook at home?
Sure, there are several options for eating on Sundays in Mendoza. I was just specifically talking about that street, Juan B Justo. Go to Aristides and you find a ton of options!
@@NickiPostsTravelStuff Thanks. Very informative video. I'll definitely checkout Mendoza.
@@kenhilliard5845 No problem! I hope you'll enjoy it! :)
How do you think Mendoza would be for a group that speaks very little to no Spanish?
Good question. I do speak Spanish so it wasn't an issue for me really. But I really don't think it would be bad. I met several English speaking people there, and it is very likely that anyone working with hospitality speaks a bit of English at least. Plus people are really nice there. So even if you can't speak Spanish, just smiling and laughing with them will go a long way! :)
