He is an inspiration for sure... I've jokingly said I'd quit haha, but to be honest, with the stuff he's doing with drumeo too... I'm pretty certain that the next generation to follow will be pretty amazing too.
As a guitarist, I have taken major influence from classic hard rock and neoclassical guitarists like George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), and Yngwie Malmsteen, which while their techniques were ungodly at the time, they also made albums and music that were of a teacher/student type vibe, where you could easily pick out licks and runs that you could incorporate into your own playing. They still do that while staying relevant, especially as both of them are sources of influence for Midori and Miyako, both from LoveBites. Lynch and Yngwie were always ones to tell you to not give up and keep practicing; Jorge here is no different. He would rather you keep practicing to get better than give up because someone does something so unbelievable.

I couldn't agree more... But the reason for that is down to the tens of thousands of hours he has put into making himself that good. His dedication to the craft is what has made him one of the best drummers to ever grace our fair planet. So put the effort in and reap the rewards.
