  • This year's dunk contest was pretty entertaining (1st & 2nd round anyways), but DeRozan got absolutely ROBBED on his first slam. Blake's misses were better than his makes. Ah well. thehoopscene.com

    1)McGee= EZ!!! ANY OTHER YEAR..
2)DeRozan, who would've probably won w/extra dunks in finals. And was ripped off another year, the NBA didn't want a Crenshaw, Blood winning their festivities.. nuff said...WAS done so dirty by the league, was so obvious how explosive the boy was, ESPECIALLY IN GAME, THE BROTHER NAAASTY!!!!! REAL RECOGNIZE REAL, DeMaar.... and DeRozan is STILL doing the SAME SHIT IN GAMES, AT THE SAME CRAFTIER, SMOOTHER, MAYBE BETTER LEVEL. WORD IS BOND.... INCREDIBLE...
3)IBAKA, BEST FREE THROW LINE DINK EVER, HES THE CLOSEST EVER TO BE BEHIND THE NAIL, ALL COURTS HAVE THE NAIL, TO NOVICES IS EXACTLY HOW LONG A FREE THROW IS IN THE "DEAD" CENTER... JUST AMAZING SHIT, SORRY MJ, sorry Dr.J, sorry B.Barry and any other to attempt 2 this day best attempt to be behind the nail. And I'll never know for sure cause of technology of the day, but he very well may have took flight before the nail, which in this scenario, has never been done to my knowledge IN a sanctioned NBA, NCAA, IHSSA, sanctioned contest... Other dunks of his were BANGING 2.
    4) EASIEST CALL was B.G.. whack shit, every dunks took him a LOT LOTS OF ATTEMPTS to stick the play. Crowd had no energy, at the time was the star on the come up. NBA HAD AN AGENDA AND A NARRATIVE TO FILL TO HAVE BITCH GRIFFIN=B.G. WIN THE SHOW, EVERYONE, WORLD WIDE KNEW SHIT WAS WRONG, AND WHAT I LOVE BG WAS SPOONFED HIS WHOLE CAREER, DISAGREE ALL YOU WANT DeMar DeRozan was, and is the best straight up ball player in that dunking class. IS Why HE DESERVED THE NBA PUSH NOT B.G.. TO THE NAKED EYE,CASUAL FAN, WHO WATCHED GAMES, DeMar was already clearly better, was incredibly obvious to any critics or hard core fans.., WAS honestly that EZ to see.just look at clutch baskets, hoops to tie, get the lead scores in last 2 minutes, DeRozan is in the tops of the league EVERY SEASON, EVEN THIS YEAR, 1 OF THE BEST GO GET A BUCKET TYPE CATS IN THE WHOLE F'N LEAGUE. THIS IS 1 OF THE TRUEST STATS IN THE NBA, can't cheat your way on this board DeMar ALWAYS hitting the impossible buckets, let's be honest most cats are SELF- ADMITTANGLY afraid to shoot, some boys are fearless like kobe, Reggie, Jordan, Malone, Robinson, olajuwan & Ewing, Jamaal Crawford, Horry, V.Maxwell, L.Johnson,Bird Dr. J, JERRY WEST,Wilt, MAGIC, Pippin, zeke, Dumars barkley, Payton, duncan, T.Hardaway, Shaq, elite elite lists, gotta include Mashburn, Chapman, Ja, ,wants the ball EVERYTIME. WHAT HAS SEPERATED HIM TO a H.O.F. LEVEL. FEW EVER WOULD, EVER WILL REACH CONSIDERING HIS ACCOLADES,
IN SUMMARY, SUPER RIGGED, CUS GRIFFIN THE LEAGUE "THOUGHT WAS THE NEXT STAR TO PUSH COMING OUT OF LOB CITY(L.A. CLIPPERS), COMPLETS STAR STUDDED LINEUP PLAYED UPTEMPO WITH INSANE ATLETICISM AND ALLEY-OOPS ON SPORTSCENTER ON A LOOP. PPL WOULD CHECK IN TO SEE WHAT THE CLIPSHOW COULD DO, BUT THE 1 THING THEY COULDNT DO WAS,IS WIN BIG SERIES, WERE NOT THE BEST TEAM(S), CONSISTANLY WIPED,WASHED ELIMANATED BY SUPERIOR COACHING, BETTER PLAYERZ AND TEAMS WITHE VERY VERY GOOD TEAM DEFENSE. WAS "ALWAYS" THE CLIPPERS GLARING PROBLEM IF A TRAM REALLY HARD NOSE CHECKED THEM(PLAYED D), CLIPPERS WOULD LOSE, IS EXACTLY HOW THE WERE REMEMBERED, EXCELLENT MIXTAPES, "ALL STYLE" VERY LIL, MINNEMAL SUBSTANCE-NUTS AND BOLTS, SORRY BOUT THE TANGENT ON BG BITCH ASS AND THE CLIPPERS SHORTCUMMINGS, JUST FELT NEEDED TO BE PUT OUT THERE FOR ALL THE BBALL PURISTS AND CRITICS OF FHE GAME. 100% FACTS, 💯 THE WAY I SAW IT, YOU CANT WIN CHIPS LIKE THAT, YOULL FILL SEATS, BUT NEVER A TROPHY. ALL RIGHT IM OUT, RESPECT THE SEDIMENT DO OR DONT 'IDC', REALEST SHIT IVE EVER SPOKE, JUST LEADS INTO THE FACT NEVER WANTED DeRozan on posters and the uphill climb the league made him,DeRozan, to be a mainstay, BULLSHIT!!¡ AS STATED THE REAL 1'S ALWAYS KNEW, A BIG CONGRATS TO SUPPORTING A PHENOM FOR DRCADES. ANOTHER PLAYER BUT ANOTHER DAY WHO WAS EVERY BIT AS SKILLED AS ANY1 HES EVER PLAYED WITH, PROBABLY BETTER, RASHID Wallace, the NBA WANTED SHEED NO WHERE NEAR THE PINNACLE AND HE MOST CERTAINLY WAS 100%, THEY PICK AND CHOOSE THEIR STARS. LIKE NOW, DONCIC, STEPH CURRY ALL TIME GREATS, HOF'ers cant do a fucking thing wrong, they CLEARLY PUSH A NARRATIVE AND AN AGENDA ITS DISGGUSTING, YOU WANNA KNOW WHO THE BEST, FUCK THE ANNOUNCERS, CRITICALLY WATCH THE GAMES .a super fly, super special player, balls of steel, literally ice water in his veins, so many premiere players when time is shrinking, in low digits, incredibly fast, always knew when, and how to get a high % makeable shot up FOR the tie, win, push overtime, or just extend games so his squads could get the game. I guarantee this started at a VERY YOUNG AGE for D.D, PROBABLY ROUGHY WHEN CLOCKS WERE INTRODUCED TO HIS H.O.F. ass. Or when your playing you gotta win by 2, those pressure cookers make or break the real savageness of a ball player. REFUSAL TO LOSE. A THING I LOVE ABOUT HOOP GAMES, EVEN IF THE OPPONENT ACKNOWLEDGES IT OR NOT, REAL ALWAYS RECOGNIZE REAL, IS A STAPLE OF PLAYGROUND, OR JUST HOOPING IN GENARAL. AND I PROMISE YOU, DEMAR GOT THAT "IT" QUALITY 99% OF HOOPERS DONT HAVE, ALA, I.E GREATNESS. SO PUT A GANG OF RESPECT ON THE BOYS NAME.. Sheeds as well. AND JUST A COUPLE ID BE REMISSED IF I DIDNT SAY, DRAZEN PETROVIC, STOCKTON, MULLIN, KJ, KG, GP-GLOVE, T. PORTER, AND A BIG 1, CLYDE THE GLYDE DREXLER, BERNARD KING, D.BOOKER, AND FINALLY FOR TIMES SAKE, J. KIDD, A FUCKING KILLER WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE, LEBRON ASSERTIVE, BUT MAKES THE CUT, KYRIE, AI, McGrady..So many more Tier 1's WHO WANTED THE ROCK REGARDLESS!! MY 2 pennies, hope you respected, liked.. peace out to the hoop heads across the ball, world....

Your logic makes no sense, even though I agree. If DeRozan and McGee both got 50s for round 1 and 2, Blake wouldn't have been in the Finals.

Blake might be one of the best in game dunkers but he didnt had to win this one allthough we all knew they were going to give him this for marketing reasons.

Probably the most annoying contest of all time. Blake won it before it started and Kenny was all-time irritating.

there were some very good dunks that evening but all those tries kinda ruin it for me.. the surprise effect is gone if you know what the player wants to do and just wait for him to finally make it.. they should give the players one replacement dunk per round and that's it
