    So nice finding your video. I need help! My Cleopatra almost died but is coming back. Also finally found an Ember Lace but seem to be losing it. It may be a humidity problem--put in a bubble but the leaves started to get mushy. Do you ever get mushy leaves? Thanks for any advice

    • @grayturtleviolets
      @grayturtleviolets  3 года назад +2

      Glad you liked it! I lost one of mine, too, it was Faded Jade - still learning. The tricky part about growing them in a bubble is to make sure the potting mix is light and airy, mine is 50 ProMix-BX/50 medium-coarse perlite, and also allow some access of air (I cover mine and leave a little space where the air can access to the inside of the terrarium). Also, important to add a layer of horticultural charcoal on the very bottom, under the potting mix, and water sparingly. Happy growing!

    • @grayturtleviolets

    • @grayturtleviolets
      @grayturtleviolets  3 года назад +1

      I grow them in 50/50 peat moss and perlite, some are top watered, and others - wick-watered. 1/8 teaspoon per gallon of water of Jack's Classic 20-20-20, for wick-watered - partial shade, natural light mostly.

      Check out my potting mix video, I use the same mix to grow all of my plants: ruclips.net/video/pLLcZOfIo-E/видео.html. I grow most of them using the same wick watering method that I use to grow my African Violets: ruclips.net/video/iHcYCCjPVGo/видео.html.
