Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.

Let's say, hypothetically, I'm a Barbie girl. Ok let's even say I'm in a Barbie world. Right, so, in this scenario, I would obviously know from personal experience that life in plastic is fantastic. Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume you could brush my hair and undress me literally everywhere? Imagination; you can derive from the fundamentals of basic logic that life is your creation.

also the narrative that its "anti-men" is so dumb when the movie literally shows that vilification of men is counterproductive & positive male empowerment is important too (provided it isnt to the detriment of women as it is with the patriarchy).
The entire reason ken liked the patriarchy was bc he had never seen kens in such a positive light before in barbieland where kens are basically second class. Yes I 100000% played with Barbies and her various Vespas and Ferraris and Jeeps and roller blades that actually sparked (wtf Mattel?!), but this movie WRECKED me. I don’t have kids so I’m unsure what the like…vibe is? But my gut says this isn’t really a kids movie. I feel like Barbie is a conduit for a broader message that resonates a little too close to home right now as a female in TX.
My parents saw Oppenheimer last night and enjoyed it because they’re fucking boomers so duh, but they bought tickets for Barbie after I saw it last night and I absolutely guarantee they’re going to laud it.

I wish these types family movies got made more often. It’s actually beneficial for kids to watch movies that they don’t totally understand and challenge them- kind of like princess bride, it’s a movie that grows with you. Honestly showing Japanese internment camps in Oppenheimer would've been based. It's an extremely overlooked part of American history and it would've been great if a Hollywood movie brought people's attention to it. At this point I'm pretty sure that American schools don't even teach that part of history anymore, I'm gonna guess that 70% of Americans don't know that the government forced Japanese people into camps during WWII.

I was just referring to the fact that we rarely learned about Asian history in general, and the Exclusion Act was one we actually did learn.
