  • A quick guide or refresher on how to use NVivo. Demonstrated on NVivo 12 in Windows but could be quite useful for users of NVivo 11, 10 and 9 when you move onto this version, by choice or otherwise!
This clip reminds us of the search function, matrix coding query, as well as the new crosstabs search. Probably one of the most popular and useful functions after you have done your initial coding.

    Thanks for illuminating video!
Is there a way to display (not select) the case names with their nicknames instead of their full name?
Also, is there a way to put the case classifications and their contents, but not the individual cases in the columns? The classifications are more interesting to visualize than the individual cases in my project.

Hi Dr Wong and anybody else - I have been able to run cross tabs without any issues, but some nodes have not been reflected in the cross tabs table, and I am wondering why. The nodes were coded same as the rest, but yet do not appear in the table. I is it a glitch with Nvivo 12 or is it something I am overlooking? Appreciate some advice on this

Thank you for great information. But if I want to see the word frequency, among 63 persons, do I have to code word by word?

I believe that is a personal and up to the reserach perspectives if this will add comlex meaing and give depth to the project.
