If Grave Visitations would be so kind as to give me the address of the church diocese, this church and graveyard belong to, I would be pleased to write the letter(s) to find out how a family masoleum was turned into a storeroom. Beautiful old church and graveyard, well cared for. There is no excuse for using a mausoleum as a storage room, completely unacceptable! Someone is either too lazy, or too cheap 😮 to build a modest storage shed on the church grounds to store all of that crap. It would be great if, the church leadership could be persuaded to build a storage space, clean up and restore the inside of the mausoleum to its original condition, and put a good lock 🔐 on the door or gate.

The reason there is a graveyard at the church is for the church to oversee its flock. To keep their parishioners safe and cared for. To see that the church can't/won't do the most minimal of upkeep on the mausoleum is very sad indeed.

I love watching your videos. This is the first one that has brought a tear to my eyes. This mausoleum is a disgrace and yes I agree with the people on this site. It needs to be bought to the attention of the rulers of this religious chapter. Families go to the expense of building a protective place for their family thinking all the family can be buried in the same place and be together and this is the outcome. Disgraceful and no excuse will do….they must be made clean this up. Even if their waiting for funding there is no excuse for this behaviour.!!!!

The Samuel(s)Winter'ses Family deserve much more respect than they are being shown here! If they were as wealthy as you suggest they were, they paid a pretty penny for that mosolium structure to house their bones, and I am sure that at the time, the price that they paid for the assurance of having their bones protected and maintained was likely more than agreeable to the Church at the time. The church would have coveted the money that these people donated. I would also go so far as to say that their family likely provided much money for the income of the clergymen of the day, and I'm sure they paid a lot at the time for the construction or maintenance of that church. If there is 'no money' now available for the upkeep of their mausolium, or for the church to build a simple shack to put their wheelbarrow in, then too f#*%ing bad for the church. These people paid agreeable and exorbitant sums of money in their day TO THE CHURCH to assure their continuing protection BY the church into ETERNITY.
FOR SHAME, to that church and their modern day custodians.

The skull and cross bones momento mori stone is amazing usually I don't find dates on the stones with skulls on them,so to find a date is brilliant as it helps me too,I think they are 1700s style then,I don't think I've seen any momento mori graves from the 1600s,beautiful stones 😊.Very well kept graveyard. The mausoleum is like a little castle. Its absolutely gorgeous 😍 it's so beautiful but wtf honestly thats tragic the mess of it 😢

This is a shameful disgrace to dump trash on graves that deserve respect! It is absolutely degrading to the souls that were placing their loved ones in the church-consecrated grounds to honor and care. It should not be used as a storage room. It is distressing to see a church hasn't done it and kept up the mausoleum in their care. I hope you went to the church and commented about the fact it is their duty to keep it up and keep it clean and tidy with respect and prayers for their souls to respectfully rest in Peace.!

Hello GV and Sue, like other viewers I’m also very disappointed that that sacred place is being so blatantly abused, and hope you maybe were able to report to the police? No one should get away with such disrespect of a burial place.
Regarding the sculls with the laurel wreaths, I note other viewers have passed on their meaning..I might add they showed the status of wealth, so wealthy people buried there. But I was fascinated by the grave with the sand topping which looked so neat…..and just wondered if maybe it had been put on the grave to prevent grass or other weeds growing?? I’m not sure whether they import sand to golf bunkers but you never see grass attempting to grow in them. I just thought that the gentleman died in 2009, so it had been working well just needing the odd rake through?? I maybe
Completely wrong, but it felt a logical idea!! Thankyou again for another interesting visit…oh! And Thankyou for showing the beautiful picture of the painted glass window! Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before, usually stained glass with the lead holding painted prices in! Give me hope now with my glass painting!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 which I do in “spare time!”
Love and light to you both! Helen xxx🦋🙋‍♀️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐🥰🙏🦋🦋🦋

I believe there are more than 8 people burried there. It seems as if the markers depict the layered burrial of family members. One coffin on top of the other. Here in the US, I believe you can burry up to three in the same plot, with the additional option of burrying urns in the same plot around the caskets.
