Hasan is right about the security theater part. These hackers work on the scale of millions of compromised user credentials.
If you have two factor autentication, you are just not worth the time.
Just like a car when you put a wheel locker.
If someone wants YOUR information, as in YOU personally, they will get it and TFA is not going to do much. In the same way, if someone wants YOUR car specifically, the wheel locker will delay them for like 5 minutes.
But that is the whole point: Unless you are someone of interest for them, you are just a part of tens of millions of users. They will just move to the next user, or the next car.
Many hacks occur by people scrapping the web in which can be described as "going around the neighborhood and just trying to turn the knobs of all the doors as you pass by, until one door opens".
If they wanted a specific house, they could just break in, but that is not what they are trying to do.
They are looking for open ports, 1234 1234 or admin admin as id and password in routers, etc.
Yup, we had a it security head at our university come speak to our comp sci class, he said 99% of login requests are fraudulent and are most often a bot trying thousands of basic passwords using leaked or scraped emails

@@Kogejj best guess from what I can briefly research, probably someone left an endpoint for web requests unsecure or exposed. From there, anyone who knows about it could upload their own personal scripts and muck everything up.

Banks would instantly lose billions of dollars, the result would be catastrophic to the bubble, and imagine the general public support they would receive.
Banks aren't the creditor in student loans. The federal government is. Also, they are already paid for in the government budget. If the debt was never repaid, it would literally do nothing to the economy or to banks.

I guess for the software devs and such out there, genuine question I got is (not including the events that actually happened) is a lot of this public content/talking about stuff that has/could happen just people talking out their ass, and we just take their word for it because the general public just dont bother trying to genuinely understand? EXAMPLEEE -- products like "incogni" and them requesting your data away from brokers, are there any genuine truth to those claims of the product? Or we just take their word for it and boom. How fake is this industry is my question I guess?
