To me it's a mix of evil angel and unknown soldier.
I thought the same thing! It's gotta a similar structure and feel to it! The drum groove is similar, and the double chorus how he hits the high notes in the second half just like "Evil Angel".

Riiley Wretched This is amazing! It makes me think of God Himself speaking to someone seeking Him. He will wait for them, helping the seeker stay true to his faith. And the second part makes me feel like a friend or family member of the one seeking God, will always be sure to ask God to guide their friend/loved one. The “great divide”, in this sense, is a culmination of all of life’s challenges.
Just my interpretation of this AWESOME song.

To everyone bitching about a "religious" theme; these songs, as all songs do, have their own meaning to the individual listener. This band writes songs that go straight for the heart because that's where the songs come from. If you don't like it, I have a simple solution: don't listen to them. Listen to Taylor Swift or Flo Rida or any other superficial pop music bullshit. Rock music is as it is. So take it for what it is and if you don't like it move on.

There are certain bands who need to evolve and certain bands who don't. BB is one of the bands that fall into the latter. Benjamin should never evolve their music too significantly. The connections between this song and dreams are very powerful Ben discribes the relationship between waking life and the dream realm as the great divide being the transition from a world of pain and suffering to the world of imagination and possibility. Also the realistic struggle to not forget the good dreams is very real. But wow, this hits me personally
None of my co workers have heard of this band. And they've been around for 16 years. Such an under rated band but I love these guys. I have all their albums. This band has yet ceased to amaze me.

It's so hard for me to listen to this song. This song brings me to tears every time, because I remember singing this to my girlfriend before she broke up with me. Something about this song really hits deep. The way he sings in this one is incredibly beautiful, especially the harmonizing. I'm not a direct fan but man, this particular song seriously knocked me off my feet. I'm trying to give his other work a look but this one is definitely a favorite!
