Probably never gonna happen, unfortunately. Breaking Benjamin are (kind of, and are considered) post grunge, which music snobs _hate_ due to a _certain_ Canadian band beginning with N... the fact that Breaking Benjamin are far better doesn't matter then, music snobs will rather see boring blues rock in rock'n'roll HoF. I would be superhappy _if_ Breaking Benjamin got inducted too, but this is most likely the sad truth. Then again that award can hardly be taken seriously nowadays, what with madonna being inducted and gangsta rap nwa being inducted but not industrial legends Nine Inch Nails.
Edit 2018: Hmmm Bon Jovi did get in and a lot of elitists hate them. Maybe there's hope then, but... the music snobs truly abhor postgrunge and altmetal. Linkin Park for instance deserves a spot without any doubt, but I wouldn't be surprise if Black Keys would get in before they do...

Breaking Benjamin is far superior to that Canadian band that you mention. Songwriting is important. Unfortunately, Breaking Benjamin doesn't get the recognition they deserve. Playing second fiddle to inferior bands like Papa Roach or Five Finger Death Punch when they go on tour.

Ben I found your band while I was in high school and it got me through one of the toughest times of my life. It's been a few years sense that terrible time. Everything has been pretty good but now I am going through an even tougher time in my life. Your music always seems to make sense to me. Every word speaks to me. Your new music couldn't have come out at a better time. I hope I make it through this new mess I have created. Thank you for making new music again it means more than you know.

This song reminds me of Evil Angel only because of the part of being afraid to be left alone. This song is like a plea to not be left alone. Someone tells you they will never leave you and then they do. Evil Angel told the story of fake friends, or someone who pretended to be there for you. I guess the major similarity is the main person is so afraid to be left alone. Losing people can make us feel very "Hollow"

I discovered these guys accidentally on RUclips when Blow me away was popular and I've been a fan ever since

His eyes glowed blood red then, his breathing heavy. His nostrils flared as he gently placed her lifeless body back to the ground. Knowing someone was behind him, he stood slowly and turned to face them. The being simply looked at him with hollow eyes. "Leave her. Take mine instead. My task is over. I am finished." The being studied him quietly for a moment before uttering a whispered "As you wish." He nodded once, then fell to his knees. He spread his wings to their fullness with a shudder as he felt the being's cold, wispy hands touch the base of his wings. He filled his mind with thoughts of her, murmuring his final words. "Forgive me, my angel." He had barely uttered the last word, when he felt excruciating pain course through his entire being. It was as though the flames of Hell had embraced his body. He screamed in agony as his wings were torn from him, blood flowing from the wounds. The being, after completing his task, simply looked down at the bleeding man before him. It watched as he reached for her with his last dying breath. In his eyes, he saw only one last glimpse of the beautiful angel he had killed. Then all was black. The work was done. The being vanished, leaving the two bloody bodies to lie together forever.

Everybody keeps talking about "OMG Saturate is the worst album," or "OMG We Are Not Alone fucking sucks," and shit like that. I love all of their albums equally, and Breaking Benjamin will continue to be my all-time favorite band.

They have 3 platinum records n 2 gold with many multi-platinum singles. If you were to ask someone who was the biggest name in rock during the 2000's, you'd likely get a toss up of BB and Three Days Grace. With all this, one can only classify them as mainstream, but the word "alternative" refers to the genre's distinction from mainstream rock music. Therefore, the band in general is not exactly alternative. Now one could argue some of their songs are on the alternative side.

Is it just me or does it seem like BB is taking a more Christian Rock approach with Dark Before Dawn
Blake Hook There are definitely some biblical motif's in this album but i dont think their purpose was to have a christian message. I'm christian but i dont listen to certain music because it is or isnt christian. For me music is about the emotions it brings up and not the message it carries.
you're not the only one... I feel like this album has more christian messages than they're past albums, like Close to Heaven, and a few others
Blake Hook What I take from the album is that it's more about dealing with grief and the loss of a loved one, and I think Ben is religious, and what I kind of get from some of the songs (mainly "Ashes of Eden") is a message about struggling with those beliefs in such dark times. Not necessary praising religion, but showing what it's like to question your beliefs and feel like you're being abandoned by a god or whatever entity there is when faced with a difficult and painful situation. It's an extension of Dear Agony, Ben even stating that a good chunk of the material was originally written for Dear Agony, so it's more about grief, and many people struggle with beliefs during grief. There's just a lot to this that can't be simply summed up with a few words, which is really great.
Blake Hook considering 3 out of the 4 members are Christians I wouldn't be surprised. The album seems a lot more pleasant then their last album which was Agony... he just felt like he was in so much pain.

3DGFORLYFE Ben has said that the album was pretty much written before he started jamming with the new guys, but he wanted them to record their respective parts even though he wrote them. We'll have to wait until next album to see Jason's influence.
Actually Ben said this was the first album where he actually had help on writing the album from the other band members and that Jason actually wrote some of the riffs.

Not sure but I've been hooked since diary of Jane made it big. I'm 48 and have had a lot of heavy favorite bands over the years from various genres but BB takes the cake. Not one bag song. All epic. I’ve been listening to Breaking Benjamin since I was 13 years old and to this day, I still can’t say I dislike any of their songs. One of the best bands out there.

When I first heard this song, I didn't like it nearly as much as the other son the album. But when I kept listening to it, it really grew on it me. I just love the chorus so much, all the instruments and the vocals really blend together perfectly. Now it's my favorite on this epic album.
