Hey Dana, just 11 p.m. here now, & i saw u posted. I was thinking of making some beans too. I also love my ipots, & wouldn't want to be without one. I like mixing a few kinds & i also freeze little baggies of them, enough for a meal or 2. tfs I LOVE the kitty i saw go by xoxo
Hi Patty, yes, I love mine too! It’s definitely my most used kitchen gadget! Ha! That was our little girl Cashew - Cash for short. She’s about 12 years old. I love my babies! 🐱 🐱🐶🐶🐶
I have also made brownies❤yeey❤ I love the canned also despite the salt (but it is easy to cook them in the pressure cooker), nice countertop. I have never been able to succesfully cook my beans on the stove. How often do you eat beans ? Haha you forgot to plug it
Awww yes, I forgot, I DO use the sauté button to sauté onions sometimes. But other than that, I don’t think I’ve ever used the other ones. Ha! I thought I had it plugged in 🤦♀️ oh well, it’s all good! 😅 Thanks Scott for sharing! ❤
Hello, I pour my dry beans out on a cookie sheet to make sure there’s no small stones before I soak them. I only had that issue one time. I never had sand in my beans but I would think giving them a good rinse in a strainer would take out any sand or dirt. I usually buy our beans in bulk bags and they always seemed to be pretty clean. Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment ☺️
I cook my beans in the insta pot as well. I love it 🥰

What is the best way to get sand, etc. out of dry beans before you cook them? Is there a trick to getting all the sand out? Type of straining?
