"Jerk off to a magazine" 😂 Seriously one of my favorite songs on the album. ❤

I'm bipolar and also suffer from BPD. I use humor and have used substances to mask the symptoms of these to the world and to self sooth. this song perfectly reflects what my life has been like since i was 15. I'm 47 now. the first time i heard this i cried, no one has ever put into words what Ive felt, and still feel, everyday of my life more than Turpentine.

I'm no expert on time signatures so I'm just gonna say that the vibes kind of remind me of "down" (from their 2003 untitled), only with a slightly louder and more gripping tension/release dynamic. And those fills between lines in the chorus when Travis reaches the high tom are *chief's kiss*. One of the best songs I've heard this year

Did Aaron mentioned what amps they used in AxeFx for this? Was it the Soldano/Plexi blend that was being reported for the album?

Aaron’s talking reminds of me someone who is too coked out and can’t form their thoughts into a sentence smoothly. Their brain works faster than their mouth can sync up, or the opposite

Bro it was unbearable the guy speaks at a word a minute and it's not even articulate he's just like "the..... Chorus.... And the umm.... The verse..... The uhh..... The parts were uuuhhh.... All umm..... The same"
      Fuck me dude

@@poetictragedy5 haha glad someone else realized this. Your username is a fantastic song. Reminds me of the end of the movie grind.

That's a wonderful song, in my opinion, those lines kinda ruin the song a little. Otherwise it would be a serious song that talks directly to what I'm going through right now

The lines make it an insanely relatable dawg. The whole point is feeling dirty, broken, burnt out, unclean and different. The tongue in cheek lyrics convey that. Don’t take things so seriously.

@@JamesEatWorld7758 I mean, the song still works and is still a wonderful song, I still think what I said heehee

Why is this dude even contributing to Blink 182 song writing? He pretty much ruined Angels and Airwaves "Lifeforms".

Lifeforms is fantastic. Ilan is great, but Dream Walker felt more like Ilan. Lifeforms felt more balanced and more like Tom.

I don't think it needed the jokey lines honestly.

Legitimately the entire point of the song.

Those lines are classic blink. Amazing song.

I thought that at first too, but it's literally comedic relief and emphasizes the point of manic depression in a relieving way.
