I agree but replace terrified with dance with me . (I love terrified but it got the worst production of any song on the album . It was done dirty but the song itself is amazing)
This song is like accepting your own defeat in life. The lyrics are so on the nose, it’s almost kind of funny and authentically a true “Blink-182 song”.

Turpentine is fucking great. Terrified was a Boxcar song Tom and Travis had in the bank. Bad News is straight up Dude Ranch. One More Time has the same energy of Enema of the State but from a mature band's perspective. I love blink. Saw them in Orlando, FL in June '24

I’d love to see an analysis of “On Some Emo Shit” from NINE. It’s such an underrated and under appreciated song of them. You just got a new subscriber!
One more thing to add. They also sidechained parts of the guitars with drums. You can hear it in this particular track but also in Anthem part 3 , where it was too overcompressed. I understand that they've tried to use an unorthodox approach in this album comparing the previous albums. I personally feel that in some parts they've overdone with this approach. (You can argue with me but it's in the end a matter of taste). Despite the fact I mentioned before, it is still a very cool album and as a BLINK fan I am happy that I have purcahsed it.
You may be looking a little too deep into their writing style. Tom has personally said they originally wrote songs to be children’s fairy tales on meth. Regarding this song, not sure. Since Travis was the producer, I would love to hear his perspective, because I love this song. I haven’t been able to rate my favorites yet, especially with the new two songs. Just saying, maybe they didn’t intend to be this deep with the song production wise
“Punk rock guy to punk rock guy” Ima fem producer and musician and frankly super fatigued by the language in almost EVERY production/gear/tutorial video. Ladies already have an uphill battle in this arena and just wanted to make note for you and any other guys here that it’s well overdue to start correcting yourself when using non inclusive language. Honestly I do my best to keep these expressions out of my videos but when I’m talking fast and flowing through the videos sometimes it happens. You also have to understand that English is my second language and on my native language gender is not as big of a deal as it is in English, even inanimate objects have genders in Portuguese… a table is a she… a car is a he. The slang “guy” itself in the context that I am using translates to the word “cara” which means face in Portuguese and it’s used for all genders. I try my best but I also ask for understanding from my viewers since English has become the international language, it must be spoken by people with different cultural backgrounds and will not always fit the current American/British standards of etiquette. Thanks for the heads up though.
