The Q8 e-tron a face-lifted version of Audi's first EV, the e-tron. In this video I find out what's changed, the main thing being battery specifications, meaning more range and quicker charging capabilities. The Q8 e-tron takes on cars such as the BMW iX, Mercedes EQS SUV and the Tesla model X.
In terms of quality and comfort, the Q8 is an impressive car, as I reviewed the Black Edition, it is a high spec but was still lacking some key features such as: adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof & more.
Thanks to my dad for making this video possible, but also to JCT600 who were at the @fullychargedshow Live North event last year with a few used examples including the e-tron and the Q8 e-tron.

A great review Sam. Looks very premium inside. Loved your expression over not having adaptive cruise control on an £86,000 car! That said it all 😆 A long term report would be interesting.

Really odd specifications too - as you say no adaptive cruise control on a car of that price is totally unacceptable these days. Like you say it was standard on the golf years ago so why are Audi charging extra?? I suspect because they know they can 😏
Agree too that those camera mirrors are a bit of a gimmick, especially at that additional cost! As you’ll know options aren’t usually your best friend when leasing so standard mirrors makes total sense. Colour and wheels do look great though.
I’m really not sure what that noise is either - does it only do it when the wheels are turned? Thats usually a symptom of worn driveshafts, but I’m guessing surely not on such a new car. My main guess would be the brakes binding ever so slightly on the discs and moving in the caliper housing - might improve with some miles or just be a characteristic of the car….
It is lovely, yes he loves it, it is just a bit of a beast! Some car parks are a no go that’s for sure 😅
Yes Audi specs are often odd, having a sportier design and generally feeling more premium, whilst having less standard equipment!
Yes the camera mirrors are a waste of time and I dread to think how much one would cost if it got damaged 😰
The noise seems to be a common complaint amongst e-tron owners, think it’s a quirk of the car, if so an annoying one!
