Been her a couple times and the food was cool, presentation was everything drinks were amazing, the ambience was super nice and the service was outstanding!
Whys it necessary for you to announce yourself when you enter the establishment or name drop the chef? being anonymous is a key to a review like this. If they dont know who you are which they clearly didn't. It's your Ego announcing itself when it enters the building. Being humble will go a long way! Keith Lee has entered the comments!
As a white person raised in the south, my favorite food is soul food. I would rather eat soul food than a lot of the overpriced white corporate restaurants in our country. Soul food to me is cooking with your heart and comes from a long lineage of soul food cooks. I was blessed to have been raised by a beautiful black woman when I was growing up who taught me so many things as a very young white child living in the south from ironing my clothes to learning how to make her chicken and dumplings. I am very thankful for all of the things she exposed me to as a youngster until I was around 15 years old. She was my second mother in reality. My father hired her to baby sit, then she became a full time employee because my father was in the Marine Corps full time and my mother worked a full time job. Whenever she cooked I knew I would be eating really well. God I miss her stories and her love for me. I truly believe she loved me as one of her own children. Anyway, just wanted to share. God bless!!
And just so we're all clear, anything upscale and black owned will now be deemed an "Instagram Restaurant" is Carbone being an Instagram restaurant isn't a bad thing. Why is it the way you're tone is depicting a black establishment come off negatively? (To me) Like if you feel the same.
Strawberry shortcake IS a biscuit.....not an actual cake. They did it right like it's supposed to be. This ain't no hood spot serving up strawberry cake mix from a box.🙄🙄🙄
I know I am late but I have been binge watching your reviews to notice your consistency. I noticed that you are rude with the waitresses. Its not their restaurant. Its like you come in with the notion that its already gonna be bad. its like you looking for it to be nasty and not up to your standards. You not coming in with a positive or an open mind at all. I think you should have a neutral stance the entire time and wait until the end before you give your opinion. because it seems like your negative energy is influencing the people with you and they have a negative attitude feeding from you. I love you I have your books and cookware. But just my honest opinion as to why people may feel that way about you. I had bariatric surgery as well so I know how important it is to have good food because you don't have much space, and you are already wasting money anyway so it better be good. But lighten up and have a better attitude when you are doing these reviews because It makes you look like a catty B.I.T.C.H. and Im tired of the stigma on us as a black community. I love you and this is from a loving place.... RELAX!!!!!!
You should never cough in your hands and then offer to shake some one's hand with the same hand, that's a big no no, and very disrespectful, pertaining to food!
I'm born and raised in Bmore. It's no different from most cities. It has its good parts and bad parts. You need a tour guide who can show you around. It can be a really fun place if you know where to go. And Bmore is more than just the Harbor.
Baltimore is very diverse. One of the largest black suburbs, top ten of black businesses in the U.S, 2 major HBCU's and one of the most notorious hoods in America. The "scary parts" says more about the person giving you a tour of the city.
The food looks amazing. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely check it out when I pass through Baltimore !
I went twice while visiting Baltimore and loved the lamb chops. The owner is amazing and customer service was on point!
Ok that cocktail dun kicked in😂😂😂😂
You aint lying!

I appreciate his honesty. If you open up a restaurant, you’ve got to know how to cook PERIOD!
Bro couldn’t keep his own restaurant open how can judge someone else tho 😂😂😂
@@mikebrown8937with that logic, we have no right to judge the taste of food as we’re not chefs 😑
@@mikebrown8937and yet here you are passing judgement yourself ~

Corey was doing his best to keep a job because his opinion was always the same as Darius’. They act like their palette is only for 5 star restaurants.
I miss Cavamaze that was there before Black Swan, honestly. Chef D special was hitting
Grown man wearing a queenish shirt
Did you make a reservation? I went alone and they told me I could sit at the bar but not a table without a reservation

Baltimore is the scariest city I have ever visited. Worse than Detroit

@@CeeHamThank you for sticking up for our city. It’s not as bad as it’s perceived.
When was the last time you’ve been to Detroit?? Detroit scary?? Not!
Where are you from exactly?
