    I'm gonna try your 80/20 mixture tomorrow. Ive been wanting to try that for awhile. Ive been finding it difficult to obtain the level of gloss i want when using 520 in the summer time when it's hot and dry. Thanks Gabe keep up the great videos. Hi. I have a small scratch on my new Toyota camry bumper. One of the body shop says they can repaint and blend the other areas of the bumper instead of changing the whole bumper. If I change bumper they are saying we need to blend in the rear panels as well. The other body shop said we will change the bumper and re paint the whole bumper. But they did not mention any thing of blending the rear.. what are your thoughts

    Hi gab I tried 550 and 520 with reducer 75 it’s make a different results and layout perfect 👌 many thanks for I have one question please what’s reason to bake directly after last coat clear ????
    1- no need to make layout for few minutes and bake
    2- or maybe make run if leave it few minutes
    3- the bake make different for shiny because I try 520 with black same colour one with bake 20 minutes and one without bake so without bake gave me more results and more shiny so u think bake has reasons ?????
    Sorry for my English language u know I’m speak French

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS
      @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS  5 лет назад +1

      If you don't need to bake is better if you don't bake it I bake it right away so it can get out together faster. But you will get better shine of you don't bake it

    Good afternoon Gabe, that Prona gun sure looks like a winner to me. That finish was absolutely perfect. I have another question, on the first coat of clear you started the bottom and come up and on the second coat you start from the top and go down. I know you have a very good reason for this please enlighten me I feel this is useful information. You always have a logical reason to do everything. Thanks for a really great video and you take care.

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS

      I have started to do it this way ever since one of my subscribers recommended Frist coat some of the over spray lands on what you just laid on going up. Then second coat going down everything stays wet with little overspray

    Gabriel , quick question . Why didn’t you walk the two panels ? Why stop a quarter of the fender . I spray spies Hecker at work and I’ve had too much edge buildup on the edges of panels causing pinholes . Could you possibly make a video on explain how you spray panel by panel without getting too much edge buildup ? Thank you !

    • @santyagoragusa7801
      @santyagoragusa7801 5 лет назад

      Luis Gonzalez do you release the trigger on the quarter of panel? This is important for overlapp

    • @twistymcslide2
      @twistymcslide2 5 лет назад +1

      i had mentioned this to him a few weeks back , and he had said its because he shakes , and finds his technique more consistent. i agree about the edge build up . where if youd MIL gauge it, it would vary , BUT, the whole point of his painting , is full coverage, and unless its a show car. no ones going to be critical of a job well done, and it only offers more protection of those edges. so no real downside . MIL gauge use would also only meter correctly if its factory oem substrate. anywhere filler , primer , anything on top of the oem paint wont meter right anyways. hes usually doing spot work also , and not full cars. though maybe a full side occasionally . i also was taught to walk full panels .

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS
      @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS  5 лет назад +2

      It just works better for me because I bounce when I walk. So to me I have more control this way the best way to not get build up on your edges is to not put so much material on the edges 🤣👌🤣 but seriously just be consciences about it and release the trigger

    • @LuisGonzalez-vi6eq
      @LuisGonzalez-vi6eq 5 лет назад +1
