My only question would be why not cover the whole car overspray is my nemesis and I do anything I can to avoid having to clay a car
Always learning something! Love the way it turned out Gabe! Your amazing!
Awesome paint job, brother. So cool to watch you work. Thanks!
(* excited low bass voice *) "I LIKE THIS CHANNEL MAN!"
Nice job as always. I always learn by watching your channel.
Always learning from your vids. 3 years 👏🏻👏🏻. Here's to another 3 🍻. And and another 3 🍻 and another 3 🍻 and another 3🍻👊🏻
Your videos are soo satisfying to watch, proper understanding of tools.
Thank you very much!!!!!!🤩
Always perfect.... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Always shot with solvents but watching you I've learned a lot on water base color matching is beautiful thank you
So great to hear that!
I've painted for a living long time I thought water base yeah right I was negative about water base until I tried it it's beautiful and when I'm not sure about something I watch you
I learned a lot
Awesome video man 😎
I'm gonna try your 80/20 mixture tomorrow. Ive been wanting to try that for awhile. Ive been finding it difficult to obtain the level of gloss i want when using 520 in the summer time when it's hot and dry. Thanks Gabe keep up the great videos. Blending high metalic silvers still suck even after watching your videos hahahahaha
Haha thanks my bro !!! Yes sometimes they still suck!!!
Looks good Gabe. What kind of clear did you use on this one? I've been thinking about switching to PPG clearcoats. Looking for one that easy to spray and that will last a long time, and one that doesn't break the bank.
Gabe thanks for the tips I just started at a shop that uses ppg water!
Same here. How is it going for you?
@@sphdg we have solvent too so I haven’t touched it too scared risking the job lol hbu
I see you use hot dehumidified air through your blower for flash. Do you also use the same hot air through the gun for base and clear?
Hi gabi bro ur useing spray gun review upload pls
Gabe can you give some tips on nibbing & buffing ec520?...for me its like trying to polish a gummy bear. it sucks!
G’day mate awesome advice on enviro but just a question on your mixing ratio with it how much do you thin it out? I’m using a prolite hv30 1.3 just trying to get lay down nice you know but not really going they way I’d like it to.
I been getting like fisheye paint separation on my basecoat any idea why
Hi. I have a small scratch on my new Toyota camry bumper. One of the body shop says they can repaint and blend the other areas of the bumper instead of changing the whole bumper. If I change bumper they are saying we need to blend in the rear panels as well. The other body shop said we will change the bumper and re paint the whole bumper. But they did not mention any thing of blending the rear.. what are your thoughts
烤漆房通风很好吗?后面不用做遮蔽
Verniği kaç barda atıyorsun
Why so many coats ? ,
We do 3 at our shop and shoot ppg as well. I know some colors are more transparent than other but for the most part 3 coats only
Must be an awesome both that you don't need to bag the whole car
thx
Can you do a review video for the prona your using? Its a really affordable price, id like more info on that brand
Google will take you further my friend! Great guns but they are not holding up to the abuse
Hi gab I tried 550 and 520 with reducer 75 it’s make a different results and layout perfect 👌 many thanks for I have one question please what’s reason to bake directly after last coat clear ????
1- no need to make layout for few minutes and bake
2- or maybe make run if leave it few minutes
3- the bake make different for shiny because I try 520 with black same colour one with bake 20 minutes and one without bake so without bake gave me more results and more shiny so u think bake has reasons ?????
Sorry for my English language u know I’m speak French
If you don't need to bake is better if you don't bake it I bake it right away so it can get out together faster. But you will get better shine of you don't bake it
Good evening Gabe, I have another quick question. Where did you get your prona paint guns? Thanks again.
Direct from them can't get them anywhere right now
Gabe try to review a good respirator that is not that expensive..coz 3m is a good one but it always clogged my nose evry night when sleeping..thanks godbless
The only one I use is Sara my friend I believe it to be the best one out there. So I won't buy another one. But if one is ever given to me I sure will show it !
What do you think is the right psi for spraying with a SATA 5000 1.3 , when spraying ppg paint
28-29 and 19 for control coat
Always a good job. Which spray gun is bro???
Prona
Hi Gabriel. I'm from Florida and I would like to know where can I get that blower you are using in the video?
Motivatedpainters.com my friend ! Thank you!!!!!🙌🙏🙌
Hey grabriel how’s the color match with PPG?Love ur videos👍🏼👍🏼
I can blend almost all colors! I love it
Was you clear gun set up with the materials knob all the way open like in your video "how I set up my clear gun?"
Like in the video yes
My jetta came out very good, thank you Gabe, your the man.
Awesome !!!!😍🙏
Good afternoon Gabe, that Prona gun sure looks like a winner to me. That finish was absolutely perfect. I have another question, on the first coat of clear you started the bottom and come up and on the second coat you start from the top and go down. I know you have a very good reason for this please enlighten me I feel this is useful information. You always have a logical reason to do everything. Thanks for a really great video and you take care.
I have started to do it this way ever since one of my subscribers recommended Frist coat some of the over spray lands on what you just laid on going up. Then second coat going down everything stays wet with little overspray
@@MOTIVATEDPAINTERS great video. I believe i suggested it awhile back. Works great. I work for gerber here in michigan, a diff kind of question here for me gabe, what kind of hours do you seem to work there? Looks like a massive great shop!
I started doing that also, for some reason works great 🤘
Hey brother probably man! I don't remember! I like to start early and leave on time. I don't really like working late because it cuts into my time with my wife and I don't like that. Usually anywhere from 4-5-6-7am to around 4-5
@@MOTIVATEDPAINTERS that is awesome man. Thats what i try to tend to do as well! Thats a monster shop buddy i like it! Last one for me are you guys in that area salary? Or all commision. Keep up the great vids, hard to find actual great techs anymore and you are definitely one !
Gabe my brother finaly i got time to catch up on your videos 😉
😍😍😍😍 much love man!!
Baos friend because the car is not all isolated? Or do you have the chemical insulation?
Please clarify
What kind of clear are using I'm in California I don't think I can use the same kind you have there
Ppg EC line
Hey Gabriel EC what Yeezy 700 EC 550 ec530 ec,520 ec800
I guess you didn't listen to the video my friend I mentioned exactly what I used in the video. Ec520-550
Was looking at grabbing a couple of those for extra guns one base one clear! Was it easy to get a pps adapter? Or do they use a common thread
The pronas use S9 but you got to put teflont on them
MOTIVATED PAINTERS sweet thanks man
How do you like the Dedoes Acet automatic mixer? I am looking to put one in my shop.
I love it! It takes about 40 seconds to get it going then I go do other things while it's mixing so it works out in a busy shop
I am in talks with PPG right now to put one in. They want me to fly out to see one in action. I don’t have a ton of information on it. I have only seen one on your channel. Is there a lot of maintenance required for it?
That's awesome brother. Here send Sebastien Gouverneur an email tell him Gabriel have you his email. He is the most knowledgeable of all the data you will need 😀 sgouverneur@dedoes.com
Gabriel , quick question . Why didn’t you walk the two panels ? Why stop a quarter of the fender . I spray spies Hecker at work and I’ve had too much edge buildup on the edges of panels causing pinholes . Could you possibly make a video on explain how you spray panel by panel without getting too much edge buildup ? Thank you !
Luis Gonzalez do you release the trigger on the quarter of panel? This is important for overlapp
You spray with iwata?
i had mentioned this to him a few weeks back , and he had said its because he shakes , and finds his technique more consistent. i agree about the edge build up . where if youd MIL gauge it, it would vary , BUT, the whole point of his painting , is full coverage, and unless its a show car. no ones going to be critical of a job well done, and it only offers more protection of those edges. so no real downside . MIL gauge use would also only meter correctly if its factory oem substrate. anywhere filler , primer , anything on top of the oem paint wont meter right anyways. hes usually doing spot work also , and not full cars. though maybe a full side occasionally . i also was taught to walk full panels .
It just works better for me because I bounce when I walk. So to me I have more control this way the best way to not get build up on your edges is to not put so much material on the edges 🤣👌🤣 but seriously just be consciences about it and release the trigger
Gabriel , so you don’t flick into the wet edge to start in the next panel ? Get what I’m saying ?
What paint suit is that?
It's my own! 😍 Motivatedpainters.com to pre order
What brand paint gun is this need to try it too
how about you watch the whole video? He mentioned it at least 2 times.
Hahaha
A little bit of oatmeal for the final touch.
Wel, it is a flake, sort of.
Boom haha
I see you didn't cover the whole car with masking?
Spray massskkkk
U need to watch previous vids my friend. I think gabe is sick of answering this question.
What is this madness....cocktailing the 520 and the 550 together! Is that even legal???
Hahaha can't say who recommended but it works 😘
@@MOTIVATEDPAINTERS did someone recommend it or.....lol. also would it work with the 530 and 520 or makes more sense to use the 550?
Not for 530. Only 520-550
I wouldn’t post anything until you bag the full car lmao worked in the field 15 years since a kid, we use Ppg lol all that over spray all over that car. They make bags for this purpose paper is for primer small spots 😂
Spray mask. Thanks for watching hope you learned something
