Every Queen Song From Lowest to Highest Rated
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 июл 2022
- On the internet, I shared a survey I created where a person can go through and rate every Queen song that exists on a 0-10 scale. I received hundreds of responses, and went through all the data averaging together the ratings for every song, and then put theming into ascending order. The result is what I believe to be perhaps the most accurate ranking of every Queen song according to the fanbase’s opinions.
The Flash Gordon soundtrack (with the exception of the single released from it) and some obscure B-side singles have been excluded.
This video took a lot of work, and if you’re interested in more big videos like this, consider leaving a like on the video and letting me know in the comments you want more stuff like this. Thanks for watching as always!

You now the Band is legendary when the top 30 songs have 8/10
It was a survey by fans tbf
@@JakeyG-eq1un oh...
@@JakeyG-eq1un if they surveyed Rush fans, every song would be 10/10 🤣🤣🤣
@@JakeyG-eq1un it wasn’t particularly just for fans. They just put up a post with the survey. To be fair only queen fans will know their less known songs obviously
Yea boi
I can’t explain how happy I am that Innuendo (maybe my fav Queen song) and the March of the Black Queen got voted into the top 10. Two of their most progressive songs, so are the Prophet’s Song and Bohemian Rhapsody.
when coming to queen your taste is literally the same as mine, those three are my top 3 queen songs
It's funny, because I love Innuendo, but I don't like March of the Black Queen
@@L.F.Martilio.D what don’t you like about it?
@@rubintuesday it's a really good question, I don't remember as well, but I remember that I heard and the music didn't get my attention, The unique part that I really like it's the begging with the powerful vocals, I remember that I heard and thought "Ow, that's crazy", but I didn't like the rest.
@Black Metal Is Adorable it is the long lost older sister of bohemian rhapsody and in many ways I prefer March of the black queen
The Night Comes Down is so underrated! The songs from the first album were done so dirty here :(
True
Yeah.
My blood boiled seeing "Doing All Right" at #107. It's at least an 8/10. To me, 9/10.
@@heythereitsRBK2same man 😭
In my opinion, "Jesus" must be higher too.
The March of The Black Queen is my Top 1 personally, its such a magical song
so true. my favourite Queen song
I can just say the songs from the first 3 albums are highly underrated
Because they are not repeated on RUclips over and over. I knew BhoRap would come out top even before I watched the Video. In Fact there are much better songs in this bands catalogue. Gen Z voting after they saw the movie and believe that Freddie was the Reason why the Band was down instead of everybody was down after 10 Years of nonstop touring...
@@Ezekielepharcelisi dont think it was gen z’s fault lol. just generally people dont look into earlier albums
Queen II in #10th...
This is a CRIME
Most of the sheer heart attack songs are so underrated
Agree..
It's one of my favorite albums
@@thebigcheese5536 Agree...
Yeah it's maybe the best album in my opinion, after night at the opera
that's because most of the fans they surveyed are band wagon fans who hopped aboard the Queen wagon in the 80's or 90's or Greatest Hit fans who don't know their vintage material.
How can “The Miracle” be sooo underrated? I love this song so much
Id say overrated, its their biggest song from the album, qnd i dont see it as a good song at all
B-
@@stupidnoodle8242Actually the biggest song on that album is “I Want It All,” and I would say The Miracle was really only a minor hit. But who knows
There is a original version with Johnny's ending, i think its better
My main problem is that “peace on earth” and “an end to war” are essentially the same thing (the latter an essential part of the former). Have similar odd lyric problems with Was It All Worth It, although the music underneath both are good. I even created my own version of The Miracle album that cuts 3 songs and adds in 2 B-sides, Too Much Love Will Kill You and When Love Breaks Up.
Sad to see Good Company and Drowse so low but I pretty much agree with everything else. I'm super happy 39 is so high as it is my favorite and I don't think it gets enough attention.
39 is so beautiful
Really love '39, one of my absolute favorites.
dont try suicide was low as well like bruh that song better than a lot of the top 20s
Happy to see Breakthru that high. Roger doesn’t like the key change, but I love everything about the song. Every member really shines on this. Pity they have never played it live with Adam Lambert. But definitely one of their best music videos.
It's a perfect gem of Queen's later years with Freddie.
He's the one member of the band that the key change doesn't affect
@@lemau8458 I agree. But Roger is Roger. Brian once joked that Roger has all kinds of issues with The Sixteenth Chapel.
0:48 Don't try suicide is totally amazing IDK why its 137
You're right! It's not liked in the community and yet I love it.
It's got a good bouncy groove, and yet no one talks about it.
THIS
The only song in which Deacy slapped.
@Fancy Winnie the Pooh yeah. Do you know any other song in which "slapping" tecnique was used?
Get down make love is soooooo underrated, especially live
And I’m in love with my car
Yeah I don't know how it got a 7, it's a solid 8
The sapporo 1982 version of the song is really awesome as well
The lyrics are just terrible, that’s why
Probably an acquired taste. That funky guitar solo with the harmonizer effect right before the final verse is pretty interesting.
Son And Daughter at #121 is criminal 😭
Totally agreed
The normies hate metal
😭😭😭i love this song
So true
true it should be lower
The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke being so high was honestly a surprise.
One of their most quirky ones ig, but nevertheless one of my top favs 💙🎧
One of my favorites and I was surprised to see it as high as it was. The really surprising one was Spread Your Wings at 14. Great song, didn’t think it would get the recognition it deserves
Hell yeah, I agree with that one
High? it was at 49. should be #1 of all time (for me)
@@kurtmorris454 I really love "The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke" too, so many good memories with it
So happy to see Spread Your Wings and ‘39 in the Top 20 😊
both beautiful songs
I love them both
So many of my fav Queen songs not even in the top 100 (Drowse, She Makes Me, Misfire and many others)... Flick of the Wrist at 60... bonkers... my all time favourite at 62... well I guess there are many different kinds of Queen fans...
Agreed! Some day One Day too
I’m so happy that innuendo and headlong got as far as they did. And I was awestruck that the show must go on made it to number 2. The innuendo album is my favorite queen album by far
Very sad about "Im inlove with my car" "Liar" and "Good Old Fashioned lover boy" not being higher.. Totally not cause their my fave song..
GOFLB and Liar are amazing songs. They're both in my top 10.
OUR fave song
Now I'm here is underrated
Cool cat
@@ldgaming4213 Cool Cat is underrated too
I see
I was sad it was so low it is so good.
I'm very glad to see Death On Two Legs and March Of The Black Queen both in the top 20! :D
i never knew We Will Rock you,I'm going slightly mad and Bicycle race are that underrated
Considering that "We Will Rock You" is one of the most recognizable songs ever and is still played at nearly every sporting event around the world.
Bicycle is one of those songs that shows what a great great bassist disco Deaky was
show must go on is one of it's kind, lyrics music, everything
Freddie's vocals gives me goosebumps! They are so, so beautiful!
Love to see The March of The Black Queen get love
Staying Power at #126 is a fucking crime
Never was a fan of that song until I saw the live performance from the bowl... great live song
I wonder if it's because of the lyrics near the end ('Blow Baby Blow')? had he used cleaner lyrics this could be a top smash hit.
i’d put it last unless we’re talking about the Milton Keynes live version in which case it jumps up into the middle somewhere.
I'm a fan of their first decade or so, i think "Drowse", "Some day one day", "I'm in love with my car", "Father to son" are so low, same for "The prophet's song" which iconsider of the same level as "Bohemian Rhapsody".
Same here, for me Queen were at they're absolute best from 73 to 81 and 77 to 81 as a live band
Calling All Girls is a 6.20? Omg, I love that song
Don't Try Suicide at 6.30 too, I love it
Action This Day at 6.39 too, I consider it as the best Hot Space song, Staying Power, Back Chat and Life is Real too, they deserved more
Im so happy that In the lap of the gods revisited got so high, its one of their best
It's one of those songs I just want to wave a lighter to.
@@Chigger we actually did this when they played it live a few months ago lol
Dancer deserves way better, it's actually a pretty good song
Yeah ikr! All of the Hot Space are low on the list for some reason
Not every queen song is on here. 'the hero' is one of my faves from 'flash'
I think they didn't count the Flash soundtrack because it's mainly instrumental music and also, well, it's a soundtrack and not an album made to be released as such.
He mentions that they’re not included in the notes
well they don't include any of the Cosmos Rocks album either which understandably Paul Rodgers songs should be discarded but Brian and Roger had some good songs on it.
Father To Son being at #73 is outrageous tbh
all jokes aside I'm in love with my car is actually a banger of a song
I've been waiting for this video for months
Ok so, after watching the video, I can say that I disagree slightly with a LOT of this, however, it's an acceptable list, being that most of their songs are over 7 which is realistic. There are songs that I didn't know why they got such a low (well, relatively) rating (like 7 instead of 8 most of the time lol, and the rest some of the songs that didn't make it to 7 and that I feel deserved a 7), but overall I think people appreciate Queen the way they deserve, maybe slightly underrated but not too much.
Khashoggi's Ship, Pain Is So Close To Pleasure and Back Chat are extremely underrated
Back Chat is groovy
Back Chat is my favourite song in Hot Space after Under Pressure and Cool Cat. It was the first song in the album that I discovered (besides Under Pressure, of course) and I remember listening to it for the whole day when I heard it. They really put all Hot Space songs very low. And Soul Brother isn't even here :,(
Songs that were robbed (mainly placement but also score):
123: Dear Friends (9,5/10)
122: Misfire (9/10)
87: Bring Back That Leroy Brown (8,5/10)
83: You and I (9/10)
75: Lily of the Valley (10/10)
67: Seaside Rendezvous (9,9/10)
65: Lazying on a Sunday afternoon (9,5/10)
61: Keep Yourself Alive (10/10)
60: Flick of the Wrist (9,5/10)
54: Brighton Rock (9,9/10)
51: My Melancholy Blues (9,5/10)
49: The Fairy Feller’s Master-Stroke (9,5/10)
46: Nevermore (10/10)
41: In the lapse of the gods (re) (9,9/10)
31: Seven Seas of Rhye (10/10)
30: We Will Rock You (10/10)
25: Fat Bottomed Girls (10/10)
24: Love of My Life (10/10)
01: Bohemian Rhapsody (anything under 10/10 is a joke)
The Prophet’s Song Got Robbed
I imagine people are getting tired of its meme status (Bohemian Rhapsody) and hearing it everywhere. With some songs, I don't mind hearing it so much... at least none of these are "All-Star" by SM.
This is a horrifying list. Not sure what Queen fans responded but they have no clue in aggregate. Also some of the song titles were misspelled.
"In the *lapse* of the gods" lmfao I almost have a stroke
Most of them probably would of been casual fans who don't know many underrated queen songs and only know there hits e.g Bohemian rhapsody, most likely why the song was first, kind of weirded out how innuendo got 7th it doesn't have a lot of views (comparing it to a hit queen song) Bohemian rhapsody probably was voted first because the majority of queen fans are just casual, people that think Wembley 12th is there best concert something like that, my favourite songs where very far back like in the LAPSE of the gods which is weird because you have the march of the black queen in the top ten which only has 7 million views this list is confusing me.
@@thischannelhasabigname1755 I think people now tend to listen to music in Spotify, that's why they could know the songs
@@thischannelhasabigname1755 the first Queen albums are loaded with by far the best songs but they lack top 40 hits I guess. The latter Queen albums are just crap for the most part. I did like some from Innuendo but there was a decade of just garbage put out by them.
@@kendavison7148 Yeah they had some good and some lazy songs from the 80's.
I was not expecting The Show Must Go On to be that high
Cuz of the film it's grew in popularity. I expect
Also because fans know how "personal" it is, since in some way it represents the fate Freddie Mercury had, he was going to die and through this song (even though it wasn't composed by him) he tells us that we should keep our heads up and don't let the show end.
Queen II only averaged #10 on the list. ? Hands down the best album of them all !
yes! it's a magical album
Actually an amazing list! Underrated songs being put in their place
The Prophet's Song in #27? This song is a masterpiece
It should be in the Top 3 but a good portion of the people voting were probably Movie fans and no actual Queen fans
@@vitamindeeznutz4102 i also believe that was it
@@vitamindeeznutz4102 and greatest hit fans and band wagon fans.
True AT LEAST Top10
Cool list. 😎
0:44 Don't try suicide, the underrated song I really liked and help me through tough time.
Life is Real is soooo underrated
100% agree, one of my favs
True true
Why are there so many songs from the debut so low on the list?? Personally I think it's their best album.
because most the people they surveyed are Greatest hit or band wagon fans.
I missed the beatles and the led zeppelin surveys but I filled out this one. You may list your complaints below and I’ll do my best to resolve them.
You forgot the queen all time classic “yeah”
how about the one that follows, the untitled song?
the night comes down is a banger I don't know what they're on about
also fun it, good company, don't try suicide, gimme the prize, in only seven days, fight from the inside, sleeping on the sidewalk, my fairy king (a stretch but yeah), who needs you, need your loving tonight, sail away sweet sister, seaside rendezvous, my melancholy blues and it's late should be higher in my opinion.
Gimme The Prize is one of their best tracks from the 80s, and probably the most underrated Queen song imo.
Also princes of the universe imo
@@RaymondHermens yep would agree with that too.
Their whole 80's era is so underrated, people always remember Bohemian Rhapsody but you can't deny our old bois kept making bangers in the 80's
I think She Makes Me is the most underrated
@@juromori I would agree. Its a strange little song, but a good one I enjoy the feel of. Its not the best song they ever did, but it doesn't need to be and that's why I like it.
My top 3 will always be Was it all worth it, 39 and Sail away sweet sister
The night comes down is SO underrated and so is the whole debut album tbh
Show must go on at number 2!? I never knew it was that loved
So considering each queen member was a composer in their own right, and the members half the time composed songs on their own, I looked at which members wrote which songs and took the average of the songs they wrote from this video to see how they stacked up as composers!
So averages per member in order starting lowest first:
John Deacon - 6.95
Roger Taylor - 71.8
Brian May - 73.4
Freddie Mercury - 75.5
Honestly, Freddie was going to win this, but still, I'm surprised he didn't get higher. While he has song writing credits for 8 of the top 10 (solely credited with 6 of those top 10 hits!), he also is credited with a lot of songs lower on the countdown, which evens out his score. The result is he's a little closer to the rest of the band than you'd think. Interesting stuff. The band was certainly more than Freddie Mercury.
They were all vital cogs in the Queen machine.
A day at the races is more popular than a night at the opera? That’s kinda shocking actually
My all time favorite song is spread your wings (#14) I’m happy it is in the top 20
The Millionaire Waltz at 37 is absolutely criminal
I can listen to this song all day
Can I just say that I'm glad that songs like 39 and in the lap of the gods were higher then I thought they would be
I was worried that In the Lap of the Gods would be very low but it was higher that I expected :)
Who can father to son be at 73?? It definitely deserves to be higher.
BohRap and Prophet Song are 10 to me. There are some others like Killer Queen that could be 10. Everything functions perfectly with K. Q.
One year of love should be below these rankings, not even worth a zero.
How is somebody to love so underrated? Only at 3rd? THAT SONG SHOULD BE AT #1!!
Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song off all time
@@guilhermemiguel6938 The March Of The Black Queen > Bohemian Rhapsody
@@vitamindeeznutz4102 in my opinion bohemian rhapsody is better
Innuendo > Somebody to Love
@@guilhermemiguel4458 nah man, even so queen has no hope of competing with kansas
She Makes Me is one of my favorite Queen songs!
A very interesting result which shows the diverse tastes that different Queen fans even have, and also highlights the many genres of music that Queen explored. I'm not going to complain at all about any of the positions as this is legitimate scores from a large group of fans, but I think it is based more on the sheer joy Queens music brought, rather than the technical complexity of the tracks.
The results show in general a very young generation of voters.
Nice to see save me in the top 20... personally it would be in my top 5
in no way in hell is funny how love is better than some day one day procession leaving home aint easy or god save the queen wtf
Every solo Beatles song ranked from lowest to highest….. I think that would be a fun video to watch
Not me nearly crying bc of the low ranking of the night comes down 🥲
the night comes down deserves to be higher
The ratings in the video might be low but one good live performance is just what it takes to change someone's mind.
I'd give 10 for all of them
My personal top 10 (all are 10/10 songs):
10: Lily of the Valley
9: We are the Champions
8: Fat Bottomed Girls
7: The March of the Black Queen
6:Another One Bites the Dust
5:Somebody to Love
4: Killer Queen
3: Seven Seas of Rhye
2: Don’t Stop Me Now
1: Bohemian Rhapsody
Why I never heard most of these songs 💀 (I’m a Queen fan 💀)
Every songs by Nirvana ranking lowest to highest
I am surprised march of the black queen got the 8th place, absilutley amazing
Next: Metallica?
I really love teo torriate, as well with the two short songs nevermore and lily of the valley, laps of the gods revisited is great, don't try so hard, it's late, gimme the prize (one of the more interesting songs) and also white queen at hammersmith 75 is their best ever recording/live performance (the whole concert is brilliant) also with the live audition of you take my breath away from 76 its just magic. Altho i have to say my favorite thing with Freddie Mercury is album Barcelona with Montserrat Caballe, this album is just a masterpiece all the songs are just too good (la japonaise underpreciated)
Was It All Worth It deserves to be higher on the list. Quite a banger
Why Jesus is si low? Is among them finest early songs
When we will rock you is only number 30 you know it's a good band
Innuendo way up there with the greatest songs, this makes me happy but i thought love of my life would be higher
How can machines be down at 143?????? love that song, mind you..love most of Queens songs
Jesus at #146 is the true crime of this thing
The loser in the end is also one of my favorites so damn low
I know right? The Loser in the End, Fight from the Inside and See What a Fool I've Been should be higher
Also Get Down, Make Love
Great to see March of the Black Queen and Prophet's Song getting their dues. Now we just need the great unwashed to twig on to Father To Son, Great King Rat, Brighton Rock, and Son and Daugher. Made in Heaven appears to be way more popular than i expected, despite being generally pretty bad.
Innuendo in my opinion is better than bohemian rhapsody but bohemian rhapsody is is just classic. A night at the Opera is my favorite album and innuendo is a definite second
Makes me sad to see Ride The Wild Wind, My Life Has Been Saved and It’s a Beautiful Day have such low rankings.. do these people even know many of queens songs.. man..
Ride the wild wind should of been released as a single
I'm Going Slightly Mad is probably my all time favourite
